‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Help me to Keep Your Commandments

Psalm 119:27-30 NLT Help me understand the meaning of Your commandments, and I will meditate on Your wonderful deeds. I weep with sorrow; encourage me by Your Word. Keep me from lying to myself; give me the privilege of knowing Your instructions. I have chosen to be faithful; I have determined to live by Your regulations.

The Lord my God, has helped me to understand the meaning of His commandments. Daily, His Holy Spirit, helps me to meditate on His wonderful deeds. He helps me to follow the rules set by God. This is the uniqueness of my Bible. God not only provides the rules and guidelines but comes with me personally each day to strengthen me so that I can live according to His rules. All I must to do is invite Him and respond to His direction.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I invite You into the centre of my life today. I ask for Your directions, and wisdom to know the way You want to guide and lead me into Your perfect will. Your eyes search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to You.
Therefore, let me offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming my allegiance to His name. I praise and thank God with lips of my mouth and meditation of my heart in praise, adoration, love, and thanksgiving for all the goodness He has brought to my life. I commit and commend this prayer to Him in the precious name of Jesus Christ, and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. Amen

Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – A New Covenant

Jeremiah 31:33 NLT “But this is the new covenant I will make with the people of Israel on that day,” says the Lord. “I will put My instructions deep within them, and I will write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be My people.

It has been hard for me to get rid of the things I had allowed (sin and evil), within my life before I knew the truth about Jesus Christ and who He was and represented. He is the Son of the Most High God. I needed a relationship with God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. When I heard and accepted the truth, and realised I was a sinner and asked forgiveness from God in the name of Jesus Christ, my life began change and began to be transformed.
God began to change my heart and mind. This change seems to describe an experience very much like new birth, with God taking the initiative. I turned my life over to God, by His Holy Spirit, He is building and teaching me His instructions. He is showing me the new covenant,  writing His laws of the new covenant upon my heart, mind, body, spirit, and soul. I have a deep unique personal relationship with God Himself, He has given me a fresh start and established a permanent, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit of God .

Prayer

Gracious and loving God, thank You for forgiving me all of my sin in Jesus Christ’s name. Thank You for the new covenant You have made with me, and putting Your instructions deep within my heart, mind, body, soul and spirit. Thank You for my deep unique and personal relationship with God, His precious Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit of God. I come before You with praise, worship, adoration, and love. I surrender, submit, relinquish and yield my life to God, in total obedience. I commit and commend this prayer to You in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Be Careful How You Live

Ephesians 5:15-17 NLT So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants to do.

We do not need to be foolish any longer; we must be led by the Holy Spirit of God in His supernatural power and not in our own. We need to ask for Divine Wisdom and Understanding to know what we are up against living in the world today. We must keep our standards high, act wisely, and do well whenever we can. We need to understand what the will of God is. We must follow the Holy Spirit relentlessly and ask Him for guidance and grace the direction He wants us to take. If we follow the Spirit of God He will protect our lives.

Prayer

Father, I am led by the Holy Spirit of God and walk in His power and not in my own. This is the greatest benefit I can ever have being a child of God. Lord, I want to learn more and more on how to follow You, not in just some things but in all things. Help me through Your Spirit to understand through Your Wisdom to respond to the nudge in my heart. Do not let me act thoughtlessly, but help me try to understand what You want me to do and follow You relentlessly. I am Your servant; I ask You to fill me with the Spirit of Obedience and Your divine grace, which I need to follow. I ask for Your direction and guidance for my life. Nevertheless, Lord, not my will but let Your will be done on this earth as it is in heaven in Christ. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Hear my Prayer

Psalm 27:7-8 NLT Hear me as I pray, O Lord. Be merciful and answer me! My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with Me.” And my heart responds, “Lord, I am coming.”

Prayer, is so important to me, this is my communication with God. I run to Him with everything I need. I ask Him to guide and lead me in the paths of His commandments. He has given me the promise and assurance, His Holy Spirit, will guide and lead me into His perfect will. When troubles come my way I am already in God’s presence and prepared to handle any tests. I don’t just come to God when I am troubled, I come to God, because I enjoy being with Him and enjoy His glory and presence within my life. Many of my problems are avoided or handled far more easily because I seek God’s help and direction beforehand.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, how grateful and thankful I am to You, for You are merciful and gracious to me and answer me when I call upon Your name. My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with Me.” And my heart responds, “Lord, I am coming.”
It is so important to me Lord, that I give You the right place within my heart, I want You to be in the centre of my heart to guide and lead me with Your Spirit. Grant me the wisdom to know Your purpose and will. Teach me how to live, the way You want me to live. Lead me along the right path, for my enemies are waiting for me. Do not let me fall into their hands. I wait patiently for the Lord. I will be brave and courageous. Yes, I will patiently for the Lord, to show me the next step He wants me to take in the glory praise of Jesus Christ’s name. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Give Praise to God

Psalm 34:1-4 NLT I will praise the Lord at all times. I will constantly speak His praises. I will boast only in the Lord; let all who are helpless take heart. Come, let us tell of the Lord’s greatness; let us exalt His name together. I prayed to the Lord, and He answered me. He freed me from all my fears.

God has promised many great blessings, but many of His people, require active participation. He has set me free from my fears, He guards and defends me. He shows me  His goodness and He supply’s all my needs. He listens to me when I call upon His name for He has redeemed me, but I also must do my part through being obedient to Jesus Christ, and to the Holy Spirit of God. I can appropriate His blessings when I put my love, trust, faith and confidence in Him, when I cry out to Him and take refuge in Him.
I refrain from doing evil and turn towards God to do good. I search for peace with all of my heart, mind, body, spirit, and soul wanting to serve Jesus Christ. For me there is no other God besides Him, nor do I wish to serve any other God but Him. To Him be all the glory, honour, praise, adoration, and love forever and always in the name Jesus Christ my Lord.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I come to You with praise and thanksgiving at all times. I will constantly speak of Your praises. I will boast only in the Lord; and tell of the Lord’s greatness. I will exalt Your name forever. I will walk in submission, yielding to You in obedience, and I surrender my life to You completely in the name of Jesus Christ. I praise and thank You for answering my prayers, in Jesus’ name. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Keeping God’s Instructions

Psalm 119:97 NLT Oh, I love Your instructions! I think about them all day long.

Daily, I need to pray that the Holy Spirit of God, will grant me His instructions to enable and empower me to live my life in obedience to God.  I need God’s Word to be rooted and grounded deep within my heart, mind, body, soul and spirit, it makes me wise – wiser than my enemies and wiser than any teachers who ignore it. I need the true wisdom of God, it goes beyond  amassing knowledge: it is applying the knowledge I have learnt through Jesus Christ and through the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God, in a life-changing way. Intelligent or experienced people are not necessarily wise. Wisdom comes from allowing God’s teachings to guide and lead me in accordance to His Sovereign will. With all of my heart I try to keep the commandments of my God, and refuse to walk in the way of any evil path, so that I may remain obedient to God’s Word.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I choose to listen to Your instruction and guidance through Your Word; in the precious name of Jesus Christ. I lean upon, and depend upon and receive the knowledge and wisdom the Holy Spirit of God, gives to me. In His supernatural power He enables and empowers me to live my life in total obedience to Jesus Christ, my Lord now and forevermore. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Knit by Strong Ties of Love

Colossians 2:2-3 NLT I want them to be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. I want them to have complete confidence that they understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ Himself. In Him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

The Holy  Spirit of God, encourages me and shows me He wants me to be knit together by strong ties of love, with my family and friends.
I approached my new day with the desire to find God’s will and strength for my life. He knows the path He has prepared for me and so this has given me complete confidence in Him. God’s plan are mysterious to those who do not have a relationship with God, but those who do have a relationship with God, know the hidden mystery is Christ Jesus, Himself. In Him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. He hides treasures strategically placed along the path we take. Some of these treasures are trials, designed to shake me and free me from earth-shackles. Others are blessings that reveal His Presence: sunshine, flowers, birds, friendships, answered prayer. I search for deep treasure as I go through each new day. I find these treasures with Jesus Christ, guiding and leading me along the way.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for the wisdom and encouragement You give to me. I thank You for encouraging me to be knit together with strong ties of love with my family and friends. I approach this new day, having the confidence and faith to seek Your face and ask You to continue to reveal Your plans to me. I praise and thank You that I have a gracious, loving, and faithful God, who never lets me down. I commit and commend this prayer to You in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Encouragement in God

1 Peter 1:5-6 NLT And through your faith, God is protecting you by His power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see.
So be truly glad. There is a wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while.

These verses of Scripture gives me the encouragement I need. It gives me hope and offers me joy, as I wait upon God to show me the next step in my faith with Him. My confidence is in Him alone, I praise and thank Him for the things He has already done within my life in Christ Jesus. My great expectations come from Him as I wait upon Him to reveal my future. He knows the plans He has made for my life, and I must follow Him even when I cannot understand where He is taking me. My hope is in Him as He unfolds His plans within my heart. God will help me to remain true in my faith and trust Him whatever the difficulties I have to face. At times it is hard to trust Him when you are unable to see what is going on. I know there is joy ahead for me, even though I have to endure the trials for a little while. Everything is in His controlling hands. I believe He will do what He has promised He said He will do. Now, I dedicate and commit and commend my life into Jesus Christ’s hands, and trust Him to instruct and guide me in the way He wants me to go, He will advice me and He will watch the progress I will make with Him.

Prayer

Gracious and loving God, thank You for filling me with encouragement and faith to take the next step with Jesus Christ. You grant me wisdom and strength, giving me hope to know exactly what You want me to do. You will instruct me and guide me along the best pathway for my life. You will advice me and watch over my progress. Thank you for protecting me with Your supernatural power of Your Holy Spirit. I trust and love You having the confidence to know nothing on this earth will stop the plans You have made over my life, in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Strength and Power

Isaiah 40:28-29 NLT Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of His understanding. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.

When I met with God, I did not realise how tired and exhausted I had become. I used to think I was strong and could get through whatever trials I had to face. How wrong I was. I never realised how much I was going to need a relationship with God. When I became disabled and unable to walk and do the activities I once had done before my accident.
God used this accident to teach me how to get closer to Him. He taught me how to be humble, meek, lowly, in my heart, and how to lean, rely, upon, and depend upon Him for everything I needed.
My prayer life became stronger, I received God’s power and strength to help me overcome the pain and trials I was facing. He was my source of strength and I listened closely to Him. When I felt my life crushing around me and felt exhausted, I remembered to call upon the Lord to renew me in my strength. I did not faint or grow weary, but I drew my strength from Him. Without a shadow of doubt although at times things have really been hard for me, I would not change what I have now with Christ God. I cannot measure the depths of His understanding, but I have the greatest love, joy, and peace within my heart, mind, body, soul, and spirit. I am able to praise and thank Him for the good things and for the not so good things, in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord.

Prayer

Precious God, thank You for filling me with Your Holy Spirit, He gives me power and strength to carry on. I praise and thank You with all of my heart, mind, body, soul, and spirit for everything You have given to me. My confidence and faith is completely in You. I trust You to deliver me at Your appointed time in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Developing God’s Wisdom

Proverbs 2:6-7 NLT For the Lord grants wisdom! From His mouth come knowledge and understanding. He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity.

God, has granted to give to me wisdom to use to glorify and magnify His name. I have gained wisdom through a constant process of growing in Him. First, I had to learn to trust and honour God. Second, I had to realise that the Bible reveals God’s wisdom to me. Third, I must make a lifelong series of right choices to avoid moral pitfalls. Fourth, when I make sinful choices or mistakes, I must learn from my errors and recover. I have not developed all aspects of wisdom at once. I have made my life a life of prayer, asking God to fill me with wisdom, insight, revelation, understanding, knowledge, for these gifts have more than common sense. I have prayed for all aspects of wisdom and take the steps to develop them.

Prayer

Gracious and loving God, thank You for filling me with the Holy Spirit of God in the name of Jesus Christ my precious Lord. Thank You, for granting me wisdom, to use to glorify and magnify Your name. Thank You, I have gained wisdom and insight through constant prayer and the process of growing in You. I have learned to trust and honour You. I realise how I need to meditate upon the Bible, it reveals to me the wisdom of God. With God’s help the Holy Spirit of God, helps me to make the right choices to avoid the moral pitfalls. When I have made sinful choices or mistakes, I have learned from my errors and have recovered not to do it again. I have not developed all aspect of wisdom at once, but asked God for all of His good gifts enabling me and empowering me to see everything from His perspective helping me to honour Him in obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Chosen People

Deuteronomy 7:6 NLT For you are a holy people, who belong to the Lord your God. Of all the people on earth, the Lord your God has chosen you to be His own special treasure.

We need to know God is God and His grace and mercy has delivered us from the evil forces and brought us into the light of His kingdom. ‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Strengthened in God

Psalm 80:17-19 NLT Strenthen the man You love, the son of Your choice. Then we will never abandon You again. Revive us so we can call on Your name once more.  Turn us again to Yourself,, O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies. Make Your face shine down upon us. Only then will we be saved.

I abandon God and all He stood for through my ignorance, as I never really understood the Gospel of Christ, as I do now. Although I did all the right things the church had showed me to do, they never actually told me I had to accept and receive Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour and Lord. I asked Jesus to forgive me all my sins and I recognised He died on the Cross for me a sinner. I needed His forgiveness and I am forgiven. I now have a personal relationship with Him and He has made His home within my heart. It took me forty years to find this truth.
Daily, I ask God to strengthen me with His love as I am His chosen child. I will never abandon Him again. I asked Him to revive me so I can call on His name once more. He has turned me to Himself, the Lord God of Heaven Armies. He shines His face down upon me and now my relationship with Him is right. I live with Him, the Lord Jesus Christ and with the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God, and have made my peace with God.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Son Jesus Christ, He is my Lord and Saviour and I have a deep and meaningful relationship with Him. Thank You He has forgiven me all of my sins and He does not remember my sins anymore.
Thank You for choosing me as Your child. I will never abandon You again. I ask You to revive me once again, and enable and empower me through Your Holy Spirit, to reach out to the very heart and core of Your people with the truth of Your Word, for the honour and glory of Jesus Christ’s name. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Pay Close Attention to What You Hear

Mark 4:24 NLT Then He added, “Pay close attention what you hear. The closer you listen, the more understanding you will be given – and you will receive more.”

The more I read God’s Word, the more I long and thirst for it. I cannot live my life without reading it any longer. I pay close attention to what I hear and want to have more understanding of what God’s Word means to me. I do not want to be deceived by the world, and the contents within it. The light of Jesus truth is revealed to me, not hidden. The closer I listen, the more understanding will be given to me – and I will receive more. I may not always be able to see or to use all of that truth right now. Only when I put God’s teachings into practice will I understand and see more of the truth. The truth is clear, but my ability to understand imperfect. As I obey God, I will sharpen my vision and increase my understanding (see James 1:22-25).

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I desire to pay attention to what I hear in Your Word. I desire to be given more understanding as I listen closely to You. I thirst and yearn for the Gospel of Christ, and having the knowledge of the truth He brings into my heart. I cannot live my life without Him. I need Him to reveal more and more of the truth through the Holy Spirit of God, and I ask Him to make it absolutely clear to me what You want me to know and understand. I praise and bless You as I walk in obedience to Your Sovereign will. You will sharpen my vision and increase my understanding in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Holy Spirit Guides Me

Galatians 5:16 NLT So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing your what your sinful nature craves.

It is hard at times when the Holy Spirit of God wants to guide my life, but my sinful nature wants to do the opposite to what He wants me to do. I want all of the gifts of the Holy Spirit of God, to produce in me love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness and self-control. God is teaching me not to let my feelings, confuse the Spirit of God leading me. I want to be led by the Holy Spirit this involves in me the desire to hear, the readiness to obey God’s Word, and the sensitivity to discern between my feelings and His promptings. Each day, I want to live my life being controlled and guided by the Holy Spirit. When I do this the words of Christ are within my mind, the love of Christ will be behind my actions, and the power of Christ will help me control my selfish desires.

Prayer

Holy Spirit, thank You that You are guiding and leading me in my life, in the life of Jesus Christ. I praise You that You will help me to deal with my sinful nature and cravings. At times this is hard thing for me to do, but knowing You are my Helper; teaches me, I always can seek help from You and then You show me how I am able to overcome those desires within my evil nature bit-bit-bit. I want to You to take over completely in my life, and I will follow You in submission and obedience in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Seek God’s Will

Proverbs 3:6 NLT Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.

Daily, I seek God’s guidance. I know from experience that if I leave the Lord out of what I am doing, I become lost and do not know what I should do. I have learnt that I must turn every area of my life over to Him in Jesus Christ’s name. When I do this I sense His love and peace guiding and leading me into His perfect will.
He has taught me I must examine my values and priorities. What is important to me? I have to look at the areas I have not acknowledged Him?  I may have already acknowledged Him in many areas of my life, but the areas where I attempt to restrict or ignore Him have caused me grief. I must make Him a vital part of everything I do; and I am learning to do this now with the help of God’s Spirit. He is guiding me and leading me into the His perfect will and we are working together to accomplish the plans He has made for my life which I can magnify and glorify Him in.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for showing me the path You desire that I take. Thank You for sending the Holy Spirit of God to help me be obedient in accordance to Your will. Daily, I seek Your will in all that I do, and because I do this; You will show me which path You want me to take. I do not want to leave You or restrict You or ignore You any longer, what I do want is to make You a vital part of everything I do. You are teaching me how to do this with the help of the Holy Spirit of God. I rely upon, lean upon, and depend upon Him in everything I do. I will honour, praise, and glorify Your precious Son, in the name of  Jesus Christ my precious Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Gift from Heaven

John 3:27 NLT John replied, “No one can receive anything unless God gives it from heaven.”

God has given me work to do. I must continue to do it until God decides He wants me to do something else. My main objective is to lead others to know the truth of Jesus Christ. What He has done for me He also will do for them if they allow Him too.
First, I had to get my own relationship right with God, before I could do any of the things God wanted me to do for Him.
I had to learn how to understand the Word of God, how to pray and how to listen to God. He was teaching me through the Holy Spirit of God. I was a keen student, and wanted to learn everything I could from Him. I was in the Holy Spirit’s, School of Teaching. I began to read the Bible from cover to cover alongside my daily devotional books. I read autobiography’s, books about people’s testimonies, how Jesus had changed their lives and He also was willing to change my life too. I wanted to follow Jesus Christ leadership by being rooted, built up and strengthened in the faith. I wanted Jesus,to guide and lead me and help me with my daily problems. I willingly committed and submitted my life and will to Him. I was seeking to learn from Him, His life, and His teachings and I recongised the Holy Spirit of God’s power was working in me, He was changing my life to become more Christ-like daily.

Prayer

Father, I thank You that I have received Your gift from heaven above. I thank You for Your precious Son Jesus Christ, who has made His home within my heart. I thank You for sending Your Holy Spirit to live and dwell in me. I thank You for teaching me how to know You and Your Son and the Trinity better. I thank You I have a deep and meaningful relationship with You. I praise and bless You, I worship You in the beauty of Your Holiness, Godliness, and Righteousness, forever and always in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Jesus Yoke Is Easy

Matthew 11:28-30 NLT Then Jesus said, “Come to me all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you. Let Me teach you because I am humble and gentle at heart and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

I have a deep and meaningful relationship with God. Having the confidence to know He is with me, helps me to continue on in my journey with Him. I have had to face many challenges in life and felt alone. But the moment I received Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour and Lord, I knew I would never be alone ever again.
Jesus, frees people from all their burdens. The rest that Jesus promises is love, healing, and peace with God, not the end of all labour. A relationship with God changes meaningless, wearisome toil into spiritual productivity and purpose.

Prayer

Jesus, thank You that I can come to You and ask You to carry the burdens for me. I take Your yoke, mantle, personality, characteristics, and nature upon myself and learn from You. For You are humble and gentle at heart and I find rest for my soul. For Your yoke is easy to bear, and the burden You give me is light. I thank You and praise You with all my love now and forevermore in Jesus Christ’s precious name. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Strong and Courageous

Deuteronomy 31:6 NLT So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord Your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.

To fulfill God’s purpose and will in our lives, we need the content and substance of His Word in our hearts and minds. Teaching our children and new believers should be one of our top priorities.
Our finest teachers, best resources, and most careful thought should be directed toward showing young believers how to follow God in all life’s situations.

Prayer

Holy Spirit, I ask You to make me strong and courageous. Help me not to be afraid and not to panic in whatever situation I find myself in. Help me to remember the Lord my God has personally gone ahead of me. He will never fail me nor will He abandon me. I meditate upon the Word of God, and I am renewed in my heart and mind. I praise and thank You that I am enabled and empowered to rely, lean, depend upon the Lord Jesus Christ, and He will meet all my needs in accordance to His riches in glory. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Wait Confidently for God

Micah 7:7 NLT As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me.

I have great faith in God both personally and on behalf of other people. I will wait upon God because I know God hears and saves when help is needed. God always brings His children through when times get tough. I have a relationship with God which allows me to have confidence in Him. It doesn’t take unusual talent, it simply takes faith in God and a willingness to act on that faith.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I look to You for the help I need. I wait confidently for You to save me, and my God will certainly hear me. I thank You for Your Holy Spirit also, He helps me in my weaknesses. When I do not know what to pray as I ought, He the Spirit Himself makes intercession for me with groaning which cannot be uttered.
All the paths of the Lord are steadfast in love and faithfulness, for those who keep His  covenant and his testimonies. He has chosen the path for my feet to walk in. Truly, it is a path of love and faithfulness. He had made a covenant with me and I keep it when I trust Him – even in the refinement of my path. I am uncomfortable at times and I might ask myself why Your guidance is winding me around in the craziest of directions, but I continue to trust Him! His paths are perfect in the precious name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Jesus Gives Me Peace

John 16:33 NLT I have told you all this so that you may have peace in Me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.

Jesus, told these words to His disciples to take courage. In spite of the inevitable struggles they would face, they would not be alone. Jesus does not abandon us in our struggles either. If we remember that ultimate victory has already been won, we can claim the peace of Christ in the most troublesome times.
He holds us by our right hand – He the Lord our God. For we can do everything through Christ, who gives us strength.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, Jesus, has told me all the things that is happening on earth so that I may have peace in Him. On earth I will have many trials and sorrows. But I will take heart, because He has overcome the world. I take my courage from Him, in spite of the inevitable struggles I will face, I am not alone. Jesus will never abandon me in my struggles either. ‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God is Light

1 John 1:5 NLT This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you. God is light and there is no darkness in Him at all.

I walk in the light with Jesus, He represents what is good, pure, true, holy, and reliable. Jesus’ teaches, the light of His truth exposes darkness in the light of His presence. If I wanted to have a relationship with God, the darkness I had allowed (sin), in my life had to go. I put aside my sinful ways of living, asking Jesus to forgive me for everything I had done which had been  contrary to His will and ways. I accepted and received Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour and Lord, and I asked Him to come and take up residence within my heart making His home in me. This was the best decision I have ever made in my life, sin and darkness have no more holds upon me. I have put God in His rightful place as Lord of my life.

Prayer

Gracious God, thank You for the message and gospel of Jesus Christ. Thank You, for forgiving me all my sin and now I am walking in the light with You. You are good, pure, true, holy, and reliable to me. I praise and thank You with all of my heart, mind, body, soul, and spirit, for all of Your love and forgiveness You have bestowed upon me. I commit and commend this prayer into Your precious hands. I ask You to guide me along the best pathway for my life. You will advice me and watch my progress. In Jesus name. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Perfect Peace

Isaiah 26:3-4 NLT You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in You, all whose thoughts are fixed on You! Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.

I know I will never avoid strife in the world around me, but when I fix my thoughts on God, I can know perfect peace even in turmoil. As I focus my mind on God and His Word, I become steady and stable. Supported by God’s unchanging love and mighty power, I am not shaken by the surrounding chaos. If I want to have peace, I must focus on God. I keep my thoughts on God, and I trust Him through His Word, He is my eternal Rock.

Prayer

Gracious and loving Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your perfect peace in the name of Jesus Christ, Your precious Son. I focus my thoughts upon You. I trust in You Lord, no matter what chaos is surrounding me, I am steady and stable, for You are my eternal Rock. I thank You for the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God, who helps me and corrects me to stay on the paths of Your commandments. Thank You for supporting me with Your unchanging love and mighty power. I commit and commend this prayer to You, in Jesus’ name. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Knit Together in Love

Colosssians 2:2-3 NLT I want them to be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. I want them to have complete confidence that they understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ Himself. In Him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

We must be careful what we listen too. It is important to listen to the Word of God, and learn the secret knowledge He gives to His believers. Jesus, provides all the knowledge we need. We have the Holy Spirit of God dwelling in us, He teaches us the truth about Jesus Christ. At times we maybe unsure about something, it is then we must seek the face of God for the answers we need.
We must encourage one another and be knit together by strong ties of love. We should want to have the complete confidence and understanding about God’s mysterious plan, which we find in Christ, Himself. It is in Jesus, we find all the hidden treasures of wisdom and knowledge and we are unable to find it in anyone else.

Prayer

Gracious God, we praise and bless You for Your precious Son. We thank You for encouraging us in Him, and knitting us together in Him by strong ties of love. Fill us full with the confidence of Christ, so we may understand more about God’s mysterious plan. In Him we find hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Keep us on the path of righteousness, holiness, and godliness now and forevermore. Do not allow us to be distracted from the truth of who Jesus Christ is, but help us to be alert to His Presence dwelling and living in us and live our lives for Him. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Restored In Christ

Amos 9:11-12 NLT In that day I will restore the fallen house of David. I will repair its damaged walls. From the ruins I will rebuild it, and restore its former glory. The Lord has spoken and He will do these things.

Before I had a relationship with the Lord, I was completely broken and had no where to go. I had taken many wrong paths in my life, which led me further away from God, but this was about to change in a dramatic way. God is a God of many surprises. He certainly surprised me.
When I went into hospital for major surgery, God sent someone into the hospital to find me. She was in one ward, and I was in another. She told me she had prayed the night before and said, “Lord, I know you have sent me into hospital to find someone, but I feel sure that someone is not across from me.” The next morning after her operation she woke up, and she was diagonally across from me. A relationship began to grow between us. I had been in hospital many times, and I was recovering quickly from the surgery I’d had. I could see she was distressed, I went across to her bed, and asked her if I could do anything for her. She asked me to give her a drink of “Soda Water”, as she had heard it was good for sickness. So, I gave her what she wanted and returned to my bed.
She began to talk to me about Jesus Christ, and one day she asked me, “Avril, do you not believe that Jesus died for you?” I replied, “Yes I do.” From saying those words my life changed radically. I had received Jesus into my heart in the early hours of the Sunday morning, God had woken me up. I began confessing all my sins to Him, and told Him how sorry I was. I was crying uncontrollably, and had no idea what was happening. Then I heard this still small voice say to me, “Avril, everything that has been wrong in your life, I the Lord thy God am going to put all things right.” My friend came to my bedside, she asked me if I was alright? I had explained what had happened to me, and all she said was praise the Lord.
Well God has been so faithful to me. He is repairing all my damaged walls. From the ruins He is rebuilding my life into a strong Christian in Jesus Christ. He is teaching me through His Holy Spirit, how to pray, to understand the Bible, He is writing His Word upon my heart and mind, so that I never forget these important words. He is teaching me how to be a faithful servant of the living God. God is renewing and restoring the glory of God within me and I am once again under God’s ruling, and will never be apart from Him again.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, how grateful and thankful I am to You for coming and saving and rescuing me. I am Yours and no one will ever separate us again. I am so thankful that You sent Your precious Son to die for me on the Cross of Calvary. He has purified, washed, and cleansed me through the Blood of Christ, and He has forgiven me all my sins.
I thank You for sending Your Holy Spirit, to live and abide in me. He is my Helper, Teacher, and Comforter, He is guiding, leading me, in the truth of God’s Word. I bring Youall the honour, praise, and glory of God now and forever more in Jesus precious and holy name. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – No Longer Slaves

Galatians 4:6-7 NLT And because we are His children, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out “Abba Father.” Now you are no longer a slave but God’s own child. And since you are His child, God has made you His heir.

We must leave the bonds of slavery we had before we accepted Jesus with Him. He has defeated the enemy (evil) and everything he represents behind us. We belong to the Lord Jesus, and He has purified us as His children in the Blood of Christ. We are now His vessels and no one else’s. He went ahead of us, protecting us from the past and the present and adopting us into His family. We are grafted into the “Vine of God” branches abiding in Him. Jesus has set us free from being bond slaves to man. We are now bond slaves to Christ. As adopted children of God, we can share with Jesus all His rights and have access to God’s resources. As God’s heirs we can claim what He provides for us as our full identity as a children of God.

Prayer

Almighty God, You have clothed me with Your strength, and I wear Your beautiful garments—the garments of God. You have removed the unclean godless people from me; no longer will they enter my gates. I shall rise up from the dust. You, O God, have removed the slave bonds from my neck. I thank You, O God, for Your love, mercy, and grace. Most importantly, I thank You for the joy of Your salvation and resurrection of Jesus Christ in my life. Thank You for the awesome power of the Holy Spirit of God. You have revealed Your name and power to me; I am Your child. I will come to know more of Your love and power and authority. At last, I recognize it is You who speaks to me. I will go and leave my bonds of slavery with You. I put the enemy (evil) behind me and everything that he represents for they are unclean to me. I am Yours, Lord Jesus. You will purify me as Your child in the blood of Jesus Christ. I am Your vessel and no one else’s. You will go ahead of me, and You will protect me from before and behind. All honour and glory are Yours forever in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Search For God

Psalm 105:4-6 NLT Search for the Lord and for His strength; continually seek Him. Remember the wonders He has performed, His miracles and the rulings He has given. You children of His servant Abraham, you descendants of Jacob His chosen ones.

I am persistent in my search for God. Earnestly, I seek Him, I seek Him with all of my heart, mind, body, soul, and spirit. God has rewarded me time and time again, for He knows I sincerely love Him. Jesus, promised, “Everyone who seeks finds” (Matthew 7:8). The way to do this to become familiar with the Bible – become familiar with the ways God has helped people in the past, He can also help people in the future. When we do this we will discover God is a loving God and He is recorded in the history of God’s people. In searching the Bible in all it’s pages we find a loving God who is waiting for us to find Him.

O my precious God, I search for You and Your strength; I continually seek You. I remember the wonders You have performed for me in the past, You also will perform wonders for my future. I receive Your miracles and rulings You have given to me. I surrender, relinquish, and yield my life to Your authority, glory, kingdom, and name. May Your glory be seen through my witness and testimony, and enable and empower me to share with others what You the Lord my God have done for me. I give You all the honour, glory, praise, and thanksgiving, now and always in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen
