New Blog Post: ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Christian Road’

For I have told you often before, and I say it again now with tears in my eyes, there are many who walk along the Christian road who are really enemies of the cross of Christ. (Philippians 3:18 TLB)

As mature Christians, we must follow the ‘Biblical Principles’ found in the Word of God.
We must seek the Holy Spirit of God, asking Him for wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and insight in the name of Jesus Christ. We must be consistent in our prayer life, reading God’s Word, and being creatures of habit and have patterns that reflect our faith and trust in Him. Choosing Christ as the central focus of our life, is what we need to do. We do not need to make excuses, we still have so much to learn. Many people who walk along the Christian road, do not always live up to Christ’s model of servanthood and self-sacrifice. Such people satisfy their own desires before even thinking about the needs of others. Freedom in Christ does not mean freedom to be selfish. It means taking every opportunity to serve and to become the best person you can be.

                                                           Prayer

Precious God, help us to keep upon the path of Christ Jesus, the path that is narrow and straight. Help us to follow the ‘Biblical Principles’, found in the Word of God. Holy Spirit, we seek wisdom, knowledge, understanding, discernment and insight in the name of Jesus Christ. Without You we can do nothing, but in Christ we can do all things through Him who strengthens us. Help us to keep our faith and follow Jesus, in all things great and small for the glory of His name. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Don't Ignore The Truth‘

Heaven can be entered only through the narrow gate! The highway to hell [*] is broad, and its gate is wide enough for all the multitudes who choose its easy way. But the Gateway to Life is small, and the road is narrow, and only a few ever find it. (Matthew 7:13-14 TLB)
We must be careful not to misrepresent the Gospel. Many people ignore the truth. Some people make an effort to make the Gospel more acceptable, setting aside God’s truth that make people uncomfortable. We must walk through the narrow gate this leads to eternal life. This ‘Gateway to Life’ is small, and the road is narrow, and only few people ever find it. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one come to the Father except through Jesus Christ. There are no other paths to God. Being one of God’s sheep leads us in the path of love, righteousness, and truth. This is the only path that leads to heaven, where God has prepared a home for us.

                                                                  Prayer

Father, thank You for showing me to be careful not to misrepresent the Gospel. I do not want to ignore the truth. I want to represent You in the truth not make the Gospel more acceptable, setting aside God’s truth that make people uncomfortable. Walking the narrow path is the most important path to follow, through Jesus Christ our precious Lord, leads us to the Father, where He has prepared a home for us. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Trust God‘

Let not your heart be troubled. You are trusting God, now trust in Me. (John 14:1 TLB)
We must watch to make sure that we do not fall into cycles of letting our hearts be controlled by our circumstances and stresses they create. God says, “Let not your heart be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in Me.” This is sometimes very hard to do. Jesus words show us that the way to eternal life, though unseen, is secure – as secure as your trust in Jesus. He has already prepared the way for us to follow into eternal life. The only way we can do this is not to carry any unresolved worries into our day from the day before, but we can encounter new situations that bring additional anxiety. We are taught not to carry our burdens, but to give over our burdens to Jesus daily. When we do this we experience His peace and joy. Jesus wants us to establish a new pattern for today, and He wants us to repeat this pattern every day. He does not want our circumstances to control our heart, but He wants us to take control of our heart. Every time a circumstance creates stress or worry, prayerfully hand it over to Christ and trust Him for the rest.

                                                         Prayer

Holy Spirit, thank You for showing me not to let circumstances and stress control my heart. Instead, I must place my trust in Jesus Christ. Daily, I cast all my cares and burdens upon Him. I am secure in Jesus Christ, so I can experience His love, joy, peace forever and always. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Growing In Faith‘

Let us stop going over the same old ground again and again, always teaching those first lessons about Christ. Let us go on instead to other things and become mature in our understanding, as strong Christians ought to be. (Hebrews 6:1 TLB)

We are to be sustained with the teachings of the Holy Spirit of God, this is an ongoing process – this requires ongoing work. This is essential for us believers to understand, the basics includes the importance of faith, the foolishness of trying to be saved by good deeds, the meaning of baptism and spiritual gifts, and the facts of resurrection and eternal life. We are to invest our time in prayer, meditation, and worship can be times of enrichment and celebration. As we build our lives upon the foundation of faith, we will discover that the journey towards spiritual maturity lasts a lifetime. Mature Christians should be teaching new Christians the basics. Then, acting on what they know, the mature will learn even more from God’s Word.

                                                             Prayer

O my precious God, I do not want to go over the same ground time and again. I ask the Holy Spirit of God, to sustain me in His teaching I know this is a ongoing process. This is essential for me as a believer to understand, the basics the importance of faith and mediation. God enables me to draw upon His Word, through the Holy Spirit of God. He reminds me what God has said, as I remember and recall. I worship, praise, adore, and love Him now and always through the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Delivered From Darkness‘

But Jesus said no. “Go home to your friends,” he told him, “and tell them what wonderful things God has done for you; and how merciful he has been.” (Mark 5:19 TLB)

When I became a Christian, I had walked the path of evil; and had been in the devils camp for forty years. When challenged did I believe Jesus Christ was the Son of God?, I responded;  ‘Yes, I Do’, my life changed radically. In a twinkle of an eye I came out from the darkness into the Light with Christ. The Holy Spirit of God, had sealed me as His child, through the name of Jesus. He began to teach me the truth. Jesus, told me to tell my family and friends about the miraculous healing He had given to me. I intended to do just that. Knowing the truth of the Gospel of Christ, had set me free, I wanted to tell others about Jesus, so they too could be set free from all their sins. Acknowledging Jesus Christ, as Saviour and Lord is the first step. Jesus Christ, has made me so happy, joyous, and contented. I have a new wonderful life in Him and I wouldn’t change my life with Him for anything.

                                                             Prayer

O my precious God, how grateful and thankful I am to You for redeeming and saving me from all my sins. I have a new life through Jesus Christ. I shall be a true follow of Christ; walking in submission and obedience to Him; and I trust in the plans He has ordained for my life, for His praise, glory, kingdom and name. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Don't Be Afraid’

But Jesus ignored their comments and said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid. Just trust me.”
(Mark 5:36 TLB)

Jesus, knew I struggled with anxiety, stress, and fear. Even though I tried to ignore them, they remained deep in my soul, mind, spirit, and heart. They infected my perceptions and affected my responses. They hindered my ability to experience peace and joy. The stress and fear I felt, reduced my ability to love people. I would overreact even to a slight irritation. Minor problems were overwhelming. Worst of all, my intimacy with the Father and Jesus faded at times and disappeared altogether. The Holy Spirit of God, showed me it didn't have to remain this way. I had choices to make in each situation I had, either; I trusted God, or I remained in stress, anxiety, and fear. Jesus said, “Don't be afraid. Just have faith.” The Holy Spirit of God, showed me in Jesus Christ, there is both hope and promise. The next time I began to be anxious, fearful, hopeless, and afraid, I began looking at my problem from Jesus’s point of view. He has helped me to overcome the anxiety, fear, hopelessness and I am not afraid anymore.  All I had to do was to have the faith and confidence to trust Jesus Christ, and He would do the rest.

                                                             Prayer

Holy Spirit, thank You for showing me how to overcome anxiety, stress, and fear. I have acknowledged my sins before You, and have repented from fear, anxiety, stress in my life, Where I opened the door to these sins, now I ask You to close the door on these sins now and forever more in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Wash, purify, and sanctify me in the Blood of Christ, for His glory and name I ask this prayer. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘God Waits For Us‘

Yet the Lord still waits for you to come to him so he can show you his love; he will conquer you to bless you, just as he said. For the Lord is faithful to his promises. Blessed are all those who wait for him to help them. O my people in Jerusalem, you shall weep no more, for he will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry. He will answer you. Though he give you the bread of adversity and water of affliction, yet he will be with you to teach you—with your own eyes you will see your Teacher. And if you leave God’s paths and go astray, you will hear a voice behind you say, “No, this is the way; walk here.” And you will destroy all your silver idols and gold images and cast them out like filthy things you hate to touch. “Ugh!” you’ll say to them. “Be gone!” Then God will bless you with rain at planting time and with wonderful harvests and with ample pastures for your cows. (Isaiah 30:18-23 TLB)

The Lord gave His people adversity for food and suffering to drink, but he promised to be with them, teach them, and guide them during hard times. God expects a lot from us, and many times following Him can be painful; but He always acts out of His love for us. He waits for us to come to Him, so He can show us His love; He will conqueror us to bless us, just as He has said. For the Lord is faithful to all His promises. We are blessed when we wait for Him to help us.  We must never leave God’s paths and go astray, we will hear a voice behind us saying, “No, this is the way; walk here.” Next time you go through a difficult time, try to appreciate the experience and grow from it, learning what God wants to teach you. God may be showing you His love by patiently walking with you through adversity.

                                                             Prayer

Gracious God, thank You for waiting for me to show Your love, to bring me to the place for Your blessings. As I walk through adversity help me to grow stronger in my love and faith as my trust and confidence grows in You. I praise and bless You in the Almighty name of Jesus Christ for everything You are doing for me in Your name I give thanks. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Yoked to Christ’

Come to me and I will give you rest—all of you who work so hard beneath a heavy yoke. Wear my yoke—for it fits perfectly—and let me teach you; for I am gentle and humble, and you shall find rest for your souls; for I give you only light burdens.” (Matthew 11:28-30 TLB)

The Heavenly Father, wants us to become more like Jesus each day. This is why He sent the Holy Spirit of God, to enable and empower the life of Christ in us. The yoke of Christ emphasises the challenges, work, and difficulties of partnering with Christ in life. Responsibilities weigh us down, even the effort of staying true to God. But Jesus’ yoke remains easy compared to the crushing alternative. He desires that others will come face to face with His loving kindness, righteousness, wisdom, and justice through us. This is why we must ask the Holy Spirit of God to harness us to Christ daily. When we harness ourselves to Christ Jesus daily, the yoke we share with Him; the burdens we carry, fall onto bigger shoulders than ours. Someone with more pulling power is up front helping us. Suddenly we are participating in life’s responsibilities with a great Partner – and now we can smile and know the Lord God, is in charge of each detail of our lives through Jesus Christ and our burdens become lighter each day.
                                                              Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for showing me that I must be harnessed to Jesus Christ daily. I need to daily fill my mind and heart with Your words. As I do this the Holy Spirit of God will perform His ministry in my mind and heart. He will bring His words to my memory and apply them to whatever situation I am in. He will empower me with the grace needed to apply His words to my life, moment by moment. He will grant me the faith I need to take each step with Him, and in all this He will reproduce Jesus in me, and my wonderful Father will be glorified. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘God Is In Control’

I have told you Moreover, because of what Christ has done, we have become gifts to God that he delights in, for as part of God’s sovereign plan we were chosen from the beginning to be his, and all things happen just as he decided long ago. God’s purpose in this was that we should praise God and give glory to him for doing these mighty things for us, who were the first to trust in Christ. (Ephesians1:11-12 TLB)

It is really great when we can come to a place with God, where we can have confidence and faith to trust Him no matter what is going on around us. We become unshakeable and assured in faith, and have peace of heart and mind; through Jesus Christ. Because of what Jesus has done for us, we have become gifts to God that He delights in. For we are part of God’s sovereign plan we were chosen from the beginning to be His, and all things happen just as He decided long ago. He is where our future lies, in His guiding hands. We have every reason to trust God’s promises, even though we go through many trials and sorrows; we can live comfortably and confidently, that He is controlling each situation we face. Yet despite God’s promises, and despite His blessings, you may, from time to time, find yourselves tormented by doubt and negative emotions. When you do, step back and redirect your thoughts and prayers. Every single Christian, one time and another has had to overcome occasional bouts of fear and doubt. We must remember not to feel discouraged – or worse – God is faithful, and His presence is with us always. We must sincerely seek Him with all of our hearts, minds, body, soul, spirit, and rely upon His strength. He give us the courage to help us overcome all things. He will restore our confidence through Jesus Christ, and through the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God.

                                                              Prayer

Father, thank You that I can trust Your sovereign plans for my life. I have the confidence and faith to trust You no matter what is going on around me. Thank You that You chose me from the beginning to be Yours, and everything will happen as You decided long ago. I praise and bless You and give You all the honour and glory through Jesus Christ my precious Lord. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Died With Christ’

And since your old sin-loving nature “died” with Christ, we know that you will share his new life. Christ rose from the dead and will never die again. Death no longer has any power over him. (Romans 6:8-9 TLB)

It is so good to know because of Christ’s death and resurrection, as followers of Christ we need never fear death. The assurance we now have gives us freedom to enjoy fellowship with Jesus Christ and He enables us to do His will. We begin to see everything through God’s point of view and not our own. We will experience the full love of Christ, His righteousness, and mercy from the Father. The best news anyone of us can have is we will never die. That assurance frees us to enjoy fellowship with Him and to do His will. This affects all our activities – work and worship, play, Bible study, quiet times, and times of caring for others. Knowing this helps us to experience a new vigour in life.

                                                        Prayer

Father, thank You for the forgiveness of all my sins. Thank You for Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection, and now You enable me to follow Him. I need never fear death ever again. I now have the freedom to enjoy a great friendship and freedom with Him, which I never experienced before I knew His name. I now experience the full love, righteousness, and mercy of the Father. The Holy Spirit of God, helps me to see things through the eyes of God and in the light with Christ. How grateful and thankful I am to God for all the forgiveness, grace, and mercy, He has shown towards me now and forever more. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘His Word’

But Jesus told him, “No! For the Scriptures tell us that bread won’t feed men’s souls: obedience to every word of God is what we need.” (Matthew 4:4 TLB)

The key to all Scriptures is: God’s Holy Spirit, feeds us through His Word, He feeds our hearts, minds, body’s, spirit’s and soul’s with His Word. He tells us that we cannot live on bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. By reading God’s Word, Jesus, also used the Word of God when He was in the wilderness to combat the devil and all of His works. He used it like a sword in spiritual combat. We must do the same. Knowing the Bible verses is an important step in helping us to resist the devil’s attacks, but we must also obey the Bible. Note that Satan had memorised Scripture, but failed to obey it. Knowing and obeying the Bible helps us to follow God’s teachings, remembering God is the only One who can satisfy the desires we have in the right way and at the right time.

                                                             Prayer

Holy Spirit, we thank and praise You for all the help You give to us when we face the tactics and strategies of the enemy, we can use God’s Word to combat the battle’s we are faced with. Through the precious name and Blood of Jesus Christ, You sanctify us with Your truth. Your Word equips and empowers us and gives us the confidences needed to fight the good fight in faith. We praise and bless You, for all the help You give to us daily; in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Our Treasure’

“Don’t store up treasures here on earth where they can erode away or may be stolen. Store them in heaven where they will never lose their value and are safe from thieves. If your profits are in heaven, your heart will be there too. (Matthew 6:19-21 TLB)

Jesus has made it clear, we must not store our treasures on earth where they can erode away or maybe stolen. We must store our treasures in heaven where they will never lose their value and are safe from thieves. If we have the wrong treasures this could lead to our hearts being in a wrong place. We must be careful to watch what controls us, whether we admit it or not. We must not waste our lives pursuing earthly treasures, but pursue treasures of eternal worth. Nothing is more worthwhile than getting to know the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit of God. As we get to know them, they want us to get to know others by helping them know the Trinity and the Godhead. He does not want us to wander aimlessly through life or drown in defeat and despair. We are the light of the world, and we can lead God’s people safely to Him with our life and love. We must not waste any time we may have as our time is limited.
                                                             Prayer

Holy Spirit, thank You for reminding me and making it very clear to me where my true treasures are. They are waiting for me in the Kingdom of Heaven. You make all things clear to me through the wisdom and discernment I receive from God. I choose to follow Him as He guides and leads me along the right path for my life. How grateful and thankful I am to God, for all of His teachings, He gives to me through the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. May I continue to walk in submission and obedience to God giving my heart completely to Him. Holy Spirit, guide and lead me along the path You want me to walk in the precious name of Christ. I praise and bless the name of our God for only He is worthy to be praised, adored, and loved through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Sheep Among Wolves‘

I am sending you out as sheep among wolves. Be as wary as serpents and harmless as doves. (Matthew 10:16 TLB)

In the world we will be surrounded by many who will not accept Jesus Christ, as Saviour and Lord. Jesus says, “I am sending you out as sheep among wolves. Be as wary as serpents and harmless as doves.” We must be aware of what is around us as we face similar hostility, but we are not to be sheeplike in our attitude but sensible and prudent. As God’s disciples we must look to our great Shepherd for protection. Their will be much opposition around us, but this is when we put our faith and hope in the One who is with us to help us overcome whatever the situation maybe. We must find the right balance between wisdom and vulnerability to accomplish the work God has sent us to do.

                                                          Prayer

Holy Spirit of God, I praise and thank You for granting me the wisdom and understanding to be aware of what is around me. Thank You I can lean, depend, and rely upon You to show me what I am up against in the world; and deal with each situation I face in a godly and righteous way. I look to my ‘Great Shepherd’, for protection, trusting Him that He will deliver me through the opposition in my life through my faith in Him.  My confidence is completely in Him, through the precious and holy name of Jesus Christ my precious Lord. Amen,
