New Blog Post: “God Will Never Change”

Psalm 33:11,22 NLT The Lord’s plans stand firm forever; His intentions can never be shaken. Let Your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in You alone.

33:11 “The Lord’s plans stand firm forever.” Are you frustrated by inconsistencies you see in others or even in yourself? God is completely trustworthy – His intentions never change. The Bible promises that whatever is good and perfect comes to us from the Creator who never changes (James 1:17). When you wonder if there is anyone whom you can trust, remember that God is completely consistent. Let Him counsel you.

We must wait quietly for God’s salvation and surrender ourselves under the yoke of His discipline. Standing firm in faith in the plans God has made for our lives. He is the One who keeps us from complete destruction. He is our inheritance because we put our hope in Him. Nothing can ever happen to us without the Lord’s permission. He never changes as He is a God of absolutes whose scales never lose their adjustment. With Him a pound is a pound; right is right; and wrong is wrong. Being believers in Jesus Christ gives us spiritual backbone. Having gained confidence in the face of all difficulty we can feel He assures us the fulfillment of a divine promise that God makes. This is because He is the “Unchanging One” and feels that we’re not consumed.

New Blog Post: “The Spirit of God Searches All Things.”

1 Corinthians 2:10 NLT It was to us that God revealed these things by His Spirit. For His Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets.

2:10 “God’s deep secrets” refers to God’s unfathomable nature and His wonderful plan – Jesus’ death and resurrection – and to the promise of salvation, is true. Those who believe in Christ’s death and resurrection and put their faith in Him will know all they need to know to be saved. This knowledge, however, can’t be grasped by even the wisest people unless they accept God’s message. All who reject God’s message are foolish, no matter how wise the world think they are.

God has revealed to us what He wants us to know through the Holy Spirit of God. He searches every individual heart and mind that belongs to Him and brings us to the deep things of God. Sometimes God’s unfathomable nature and His wonderful plan with Jesus’ death and resurrection and His promise of salvation are revealed only to those who believe what God is saying is true. Those who believe in Christ’s death and resurrection have put their faith in Him. They have been given the insight by God to know that Jesus Christ has saved them in their faith. Then, the Holy Spirit of God comes upon them with His supernatural power and makes His home within their hearts. This knowledge however, cannot be grasped by even the wisest people unless they accept God’s message. All who reject God’s message are foolish, no matter how wise the world may think they are.

New Blog Post: “Our Rebellious Ways Are Forgiven.”

Psalm 103:12 NLT He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.

103:12 East and west can never meet. This is a symbolic portrait of God’s forgiveness. When He forgives our sin, He separates it from us and doesn’t even remember it. We need never wallow in the past, for God forgives and forgets. We tend to dredge up the ugly past, but God has wiped our record clean. If we are to follow God, we must model His forgiveness. When we forgive another, we must also forget the sin. Otherwise we have not truly forgiven.

We must thank and be grateful to God for dealing with our rebellious ways. He has removed them as far as the east is to the west. This is a symbolic portrait of God’s forgiveness; when He forgives our sins, He separates us from them and remembers them no more. We do not need to wallow in the past. God forgives and He forgets what we have previously done. We all tend to dredge up the ugly past, but God has wiped our record clean. If we are to follow God we must remodel our behaviour and accept His forgiveness. When we forgive one another, we must also forget the sin, or otherwise we have not truly forgiven.

New Blog Post: "Confidence in Distress"

Isaiah 43:10NLT Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with My victorious right hand.

43:8-10 God chose Israel through Abraham because He wanted to, not because the people deserved it (Deuteronomy 7:6-8; 9:4-6). Although God chose the Israelites to represent Him to the world, they failed to do this; so God punished them and sent them into captivity. Now all believers are God’s chosen people, and all share the responsibility of representing Him to the world. One day God will bring all His faithful people together. We need not fear because: (1) God is with us (“I am with you”); (2) God has established a relationship with us (“I am your God”); and (3) God gives us assurance of His strength, help, and victory over sin and death. Are you aware of all the ways God has helped you?

God has shown how He wants us to be confident in Him. We are to lean upon, rely upon, and depend upon Him. If we depend upon His resources and not our own, then He will give us His strength to cope through the Holy Spirit of God. We need to get our relationship right with God, being rooted and grounded in Jesus Christ. He gives us constant assurance that He is always with us so we do not need to be afraid. We need to seek His face and company through prayer and reading His Word. This helps us to understand how He wants us to grow. One thing for certain if You have a relationship with God and He is your constant companion, you will allow Him to do whatever He wants to do in your life.

New Blog Post: “Fill Us With Faith.”

Galatians 5:22-23 NLT The Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
The fruit of the Spirit is the spontaneous work, of the Holy Spirit in us. The Spirit produces these character traits that are found in the nature of Christ. They are and by-products of Christ’s control – we can’t obtain them by trying to get them without His help. If we want the fruit of the Spirit to grow in us, we must join our life to His (see John 15:4,5). We must know Him, love Him, remember Him, and imitate Him. As a result, we will fulfill and intended purpose of the law – to love God and our neighbours. Which of these qualities do you want the Spirit to produce in you?
You have to be faithful in praying for your friends and family. This is a daily exercise. If you want your family and friends to be redeemed and saved, you have to put every effort in prayer, praying for each of them daily. Continually, we must ask the Holy Spirit to fill them with His glory and presence. He is the One who waters the seeds, which have been sown in their lives. The fruit of the Spirit is the spontaneous work of the Holy Spirit in us. He is the One who grants us spiritual wisdom and understanding. He is the One who fills us with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control for within these there is no conflict. These fruits build up our character traits, which are found in the nature of Jesus Christ. Without the Holy Spirit we can do absolutely nothing. He is our Helper, and He is in control and no one can obtain them without His help. It is something each and every one of us has to learn.

New Blog Post: “I Have Your Power”

Luke 10:18-19 NLT “Yes, He told them, “I saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning. Look I have given you authority over all power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you.”

10:18,19 Jesus may have been looking ahead to His victory over Satan at the cross. (John 12:31;32), indicates that Satan would be judged and driven out at the time of Jesus’ death. On the other hand, Jesus may have been warning His disciples against pride. Perhaps He was referring to Isaiah 14:12-17, which begins, “How you are fallen from heaven, O shining star, son of the morning!” Some interpreters identify this verse with Satan and explain that Satan’s pride led to all the evil we see on earth today. To Jesus’ disciples, who were thrilled with their power over evil spirits (“snakes and scorpions”), He may have been giving this stern warning: “Yours is the kind of pride that led to Satan’s downfall. Be careful!

We must grow in our faith in God and realize He is the most important factor in our lives; we must rely upon God being with us not the power He places within us. God has built our faith upon Him, and we can see first-hand His love and faithfulness He has shown toward us. Yes, the enemy tries to take us out on many occasions because he hates us having a relationship with God, but he will never succeed because we are God’s children who God will see through. Nothing will hurt or harm us as God shows us, like Job, before Satan can touch us he has to first get the permission from God. We know that God works all things together for good for those that love God and are called in accordance with His purposes. Every detail of our lives is in God’s control; this is a great assurance to us when we face our enemies. Our faith is in the ability of Jesus Christ’s Name and Blood. Jesus has won the victory over Satan and all his evil forces, and equally we share in the victory in Jesus’ Name.
