New Blog Post: 'My Days Are Numbered'

Psalm 90:12TLB Teach us to number our days and recognize how few they are; help us to spend them as we should.

Job 4:4 TLB In the past you have told many a troubled soul to trust in God and have encouraged those who are weak or failing, or lie crushed upon the ground or are tempted to despair.

                                                                    Prayer

Almighty God, teach me to number my days and to recognize how few they are; help me to spend them as I should and gain a heart of wisdom. For Your Word has supported me; You have kept me from stumbling; and have encouraged my troubled soul. I trust You, O God, and I ask You to keep my heart tender enough to support and strengthen those who are hurting, those who are weak or failing, or lie crushed upon the ground or are tempted in despair. Lord, help me to reach out to them and give my love to the loveless as Jesus Christ did.

Help me to reach out and make a home for the homeless; and shed light in the darkness for Your people. Let the smile of God's light touch others through me. You, O God, don't comfort me to make me comfortable, but to make me a comforter for others.

Give and grant me the love that leads the way, the faith within my heart that nothing can dismay. The hope no disappointments tire and the passions that will burn like fire. Let me not sink to be a large lump of soil. Make me Your fuel, a Flame from God to help others to be assured that tragedy and grief are not a mark of God's disfavour, but that He weeps with them, He loves them, and He will never leave those who are His.

Lord, You are a shield around me. You bestow glory upon me and You lift up my head. To the Lord, I cry aloud, and He answers me from His holy hill. I praise, adore and the love the Lord my God with all my heart, mind, body, spirit, and soul now and always in Christ Jesus. Amen.

New Blog Post: A House Of Prayer - Daily Devotional

I Cannot Predict Tomorrow

Reading: Matthew 6:34

“God Knows the Future”

Prayer

O my beloved God, all heaven and earth will praise Your miracles in Your glorious name. Your faithfulness also will be praised, adored, and loved in the assembly of all the saints. I cannot predict tomorrow. I cannot fully be prepared for all its contingencies, and I cannot fully provide for all that I may need in the future. Only You can. You already have!
You, O God, are never caught off guard. You are never taken by surprise. You will never come up short. So, I know I do not have to live with worry or be anxious about my future anymore. It is safely in Your hands. You give me a peace-filled heart, because I recognize, “My times are in Your hands”. I will sing of Your tender mercies forever in Christ. Amen.

LESSONS TO BE LEARNT

God knows we cannot predict what tomorrow may bring. He does not want us to be anxious or troubled any longer. He has carefully thought out all the plans He makes for our lives. He knows the goals, steps, and schedules; all we need to do is trust Him in His guidance. He will lead me through the Holy Spirit of God, and we must follow Him. We can never be prepared for all the contingencies or fully provide what we may need for the future; only God can provide that. He already has! He will never be caught off guard. He will never be taken by surprise. He will never come up short. Knowing everything is safely in God’s hands as long as we walk in obedience to Christ.

New Blog Post: ‘I Will Give You the Land’

Genesis 13:14-15 TLB The Lord said to Abram, “Look as far as you can see in every direction, for I am going to give it all to you and your descendants.

Prayer

O my beloved God, You have given me the vision of faith as I look to You in every direction I take within my life. I love Your law! I mediate on Your Word all day long.
Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, for they are ever with me. You have told me to look from the place where I am, to the north, to the south, to the east, and to the west for the land which I see, You have promised to give to me. I can apprehend in the vision of my faith and I shall look as far as I can it is all mine.

All that I long to be as a Christian, all that I long to do for God, are the possibilities of my faith in Christ. Then let me still come closer to God, and to the Word of God.
I open my soul to all the influences of the Holy Spirit of God, I let my whole being receive the baptism of His presence, and as He opens my understanding to see all His fullness. I believe He has it all for me. I accept all of His promises He has made with me through the truth of His Word. May He once again awaken the desires of my heart and all the possibilities of what I maybe as a follower of Jesus Christ my precious Lord. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘Light the Fire within My Heart'

Proverbs 26:20 TLB Fire goes out for lack of fuel, and tensions disappear when gossip stops.
Proverbs 10:19 TLB Don’t talk so much. You keep putting your foot in your mouth. Be sensible and turn off the flow!
Proverbs 12:18 TLB Some people like to make cutting remarks, but the words of the wise soothe and heal.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I ask You for wisdom so I may know when to speak, what to say, and how to say it. Help me to be wise and restrain my lips from speaking when it is unnecessary. It is often wise to be quiet and speak few words, but if I do speak let it be about those things that will encourage and mover others closer to God; not those things that will discourage and hurt them; but let my tongue be wise and bring healing to the broken-hearted.
Ignite the fire of God within me once again, adding fuel to the fire within my heart, mind, body, spirit, and soul. Let me walk in God’s ways and not in the ways of man. Grant me the discerning heart, so I will lack nothing. Equip and empower me to see those who do gossip and help me to quash and disperse the gossipers and tensions when man tries to bring others down
Let my heart be stirred by a noble theme as I recite my verses for my King. Let my tongue be the pen of a skilled writer. You have said, “I am the most excellent of men and my lips have been anointed with grace,” God, You have blessed me forever.

The Lord said to me, ‘You must go to everyone I send you to, and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them of them for I am with you and will rescue you, “declares the Lord.” Then the Lord reached out His hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “Now, I have put My Words in your mouth. See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.” Get yourself ready! Stand up and say to them whatever I command you. They will fight against you but will not overcome you for I am with you and will rescue you, “declares the Lord and in the supernatural power of the Spirit of God. Amen.

New Blog Post: 'The Spirit’s Power'

The Spirit’s Power

Reading: Romans 8:9

“Control my nature.”

Prayer

Father, I ask You to control my nature through the Spirit of God. I belong to Jesus Christ who lives and dwells within me. I wish to be careful how I live and not to live my life foolishly. I will make the most of every opportunity to do good in evil days. Holy Spirit, fill me with Your presence, glory, and power and control me. I will make the commitment to change. I will focus my strengths on the gifts and talents You have provided me with and use them for Your glory. Please direct me to the right place with the right people. Help me grow and help me to enjoy the journey with You Lord. Help me always to like hat I am doing and not to long for material things or people. I accept what You wish me to have. Let my heart be content and open no matter what my circumstance I may be faced with. Let me always rejoice in God and be glad for He knows what is right and best for me in Christ Jesus. Amen.

Lessons To Be Learnt

Once you accept Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour and Lord, your life will be changed radically. Allowing God to have the control is the wise thing to do. We must only want what God wants. God shows us how to live in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God, and then He guides and leads us into His perfect will. He wants to occupy our lives completely, surrendering our human natures, desires, emotions, and feelings and taking on His nature, attitudes, characteristics, and personality. We must not put any barriers or obstacle’s in His way, which will stop His will be done becoming totally reliant upon the Holy Spirit of God who enables us to become more like Jesus Christ.

New Blog Post: ‘Make it Clear to Me O God’

Genesis 32:9-11 TLB Then Jacob prayed, “O God of Abraham my grandfather, and of my father Isaac – O Jehovah who told me to return to the land of my relatives, and said that you would do me good – I am not worthy of the least of all your loving-kindnesses shown me again and again just as you promised me. For when I left home I owned nothing except a walking stick! And now I am two armies! O Lord, please deliver me from destruction at the hand of my brother Esau, for I am frightened – terribly afraid that his is coming to kill me and these mothers and my children.

Prayer

O God, of my father Abraham, God of my father Isaac, O Lord, who said to me ‘Go back and return to your country and your relatives and I will make you prosper?’ I am unworthy of all the kindnesses and faithfulness You have shown towards me Your servant.
Save me, I pray, as You have promised me from my family and friends. You have put Yourself within my reach in Your promises, You have said it, so I know You will do it and bring this family into the one kingdom and we will become the one stick and one nation and serve the living God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
I take You at Your Word, I believe in faith You really mean it and You will do exactly what You have said You would do. I accept Your very words in which You have revealed to me. Bring Christ’s Word – Christ’s promise, and Christ’s sacrifice – His Blood, with You into my household, and not one of Heaven’s blessings can be denied me, for my love and devotion is for Jesus Christ. You have promised to put everything that has been wrong within my life right. I praise and thank You for everything You have spoken to me about my life and I pray all things will come into fruition at Your appointed time. Your Word and promises are trustworthy and true. I magnify and exalt Your name now and always in Christ Jesus. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘Hold onto God’s Teachings’

Romans 12 1-2 TLB And so, dear brothers, I plead with you to give your bodies to God. Let them be a living sacrifice, holy – the kind He can accept. When you think of what He has done for you, is this too much to ask? Don’t copy the behaviour and customs of this world, but be a new and different person with a fresh newness in all you do and think. Then you will learn from your own experience how His ways will really satisfy you.

John 8:31-32 TLB Jesus said to them, “You are truly My disciples if you live as I tell you to, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Prayer

Father God, I offer You my body as a living sacrifice, may it be pleasing and acceptable to You, O God, and this is an act of my spiritual act of worship to You. May You accept it with praise, adoration, and all of my love to You? No longer will I be conformed to the pattern of this world, but I shall be transformed by the renewing of my mind in Jesus Christ my precious Lord, and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. Then I will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – His good, pleasing and perfect will.
I hold onto the teachings of Christ, for I am Your disciple. Then I will know the truth, and the truth of the Gospel of Christ will set me free. I shall always make sure to spend regular time studying God’s Word and be saturated in prayer before Him. I know by studying His Word, everything that held me in bondage, Jesus has forgiven me and has set me free from all the forces of evil I touched before I personally had a relationship with Him.

My thoughts are changing, my words are changed, my attitudes and my actions. They are changing from one degree of glory to another, and are continually being transformed into God’s image. I shall consider carefully what I hear. With the measure I use will be measured to me – even more than ever before. I will honour, praise, glorify, and magnify my God more and more for only He is worthy to be praised and adored and loved forever and always through Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘God’s Good Purpose’

Romans 8:28 ESV And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.

Prayer

Father God, I know You work all things together for good, for those who are called by Your name according to Your purposes. Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Jesus Christ the law of the Spirit of life has set me free from the law of sin and death. My old sinful nature has been crucified with Christ Jesus, and I no longer live, but Christ God lives in me. This life that I now live in my body, I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and who died for me.
I look to be conformed into the image of Jesus Christ. Jesus died for me a sinner, He has redeemed me from sins–curse-death and He works unceasingly in my soul to restore me to my original image – His image – stamped in the Garden and distorted by sin. As I turn to God and cry out to Him in all my afflictions, I know nothing can thwart the plans He has made for my life.

My heart is bent toward Him and He will mould and shape me into His divine will. Now to Him who is able to establish me by the Gospel of proclamation in Christ Jesus. I rejoice and give thanks to the Father, for everything He has done for me through the precious and holy name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘The Big Picture’

Job 1:22 NCV In all this Job did not sin or blame God.

Prayer

Holy Spirit, I ask You to always work Your divine power within me conforming me into the image of Christ Jesus. Whatever my circumstances maybe I ask You to help me to accomplish all the tasks You have asked me to do. I ask Jesus to abide and live within me richly, living His life and power through me using my body for His glory, kingdom and name.
I desire to have His character, nature, and humility as I come before Him with a humble and lowly heart. Teach me more and more to depend upon Him; being drawn into the big picture of God’s purposes for my life. I never want to lose sight of God’s sovereign will and I ask Him to mould and shape me into the image of Jesus Christ; keeping my eyes focused on Him and His purposes at all times.
I know He is quietly but firmly at work on His masterpiece – Christ formed within me and I can be joyful always; praying continually giving thanks for all my circumstances, for this is God’s will for me in Jesus Christ my precious Lord.

Pour out Your Holy Spirit’s fire within my heart, mind, body, soul, and spirit and may His anointing come alive afresh and anew once again within my life. Igniting the flame to blaze within my heart, mind, spirit and soul making me on fire through the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God who enables and empowers me to magnify, glorify, and exalt the Name of God now and always in Jesus Christ’s name. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘Don’t Set Yourself Up’

2 Corinthians 10:5 NCV ‘We capture every thought and make it give up and obey Christ’

Prayer

Father God, my relationship with You is so important, and I must put you first. I need to know Your presence as You guide and lead me in Your perfect will. You know what is right, pure and true and what is best for me.
I ask You to bring every thought captive within my mind in obedience to Christ Jesus.
I acknowledge my defect and I do need to lean and depend upon Jesus Christ in all things.
I cannot bear fruit by myself nor can I do anything in my own strength; it is abiding in Jesus Christ which helps me to bear fruit for His glory, kingdom, and name.
Let my intimacy with Jesus Christ be kept strong, being rooted in the soil of God’s love, knowledge and wisdom poured out into me through the Holy Spirit of God who strengthens me through His supernatural power.
I pray You O God, will discipline me and make my heart obedient to Jesus Christ. This is mine inheritance in Him. I will follow the example He has left behind for me to follow.

Father God, You will control every step I take and I shall be in the places You want me to be in as I walk by faith and not by sight now and always in Jesus Christ my precious Lord. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘Nothing Is Too Difficult for God'

Psalm 91:2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust Him.”

Prayer

Lord Jesus, I admit to You my helplessness. I come to You in my weariness, and I cast all of my burdens upon You, for You care for me. I dwell in the shelter of the Most High; I will rest in the shadow of the Almighty God. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, My God, in Him will I trust.”
Father God, You will keep all Your promises You have made with me. My hope is in You all day long as I wait upon You.
I shall not be idle. I shall be active in my daily obedience to You, relying upon the things I know to do with supreme confidence in Your perfect sovereign answer.
As I wait upon You; You are at work within me when all things appear to be silent and frozen, in Your time, in Your way; You will meet all my needs and bring honour to Your name.
The Lord reigns, He is robed in His majesty and splendour. He is armed with strength and power. Only He is worthy to be praised, adored, and loved now and always. I pray in the precious name of Jesus Christ, and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. Amen.

New Blog Post: 'Pray Consistently’

Psalm145:18 NCV ‘The Lord is close to everyone who prays’

Mark 5:34 NKJ God’s help is always available, but it given only to those who seek Him. Nothing results from apathy. God honours consistent faith. When arks are built, lives are saved. When armies march, wells tumble. When a lunch is shared, thousands are fed. And when His garment is touched, whether by the hand of a diseased woman in Galilee, or your hand – Jesus stops. He always responds to faith. Listen: ‘Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace.

Prayer

Lord, You are close to me for I call upon Your name; I call to You in truth. You have fulfilled the desires of my heart for I fear You; You hear my cries and save me. You watch over me for I love You. My mouth will speak in praise and thanksgiving to the Lord. Your help will always be available to me for I seek Your Kingdom.
I am consistent in constant faith You will honour me. Bring my family and me into the ark of God; save them please Lord as You saved me.
When armies march against me, they will tumble and be destroyed. O Lord, You, have searched me and You know me. You know when I sit down and when I rise, You perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; You are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue You know it completely, O Lord. You hem me in – behind and before, You have laid Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.
Where can I go from Your Spirit? Where can I flee from Your presence? If I go up to the heavens, You are there; if I make my bed in the depths, You are there. Search me, O God, and know my heart, test me and know my anxious thoughts see if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting I ask this prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, my precious Lord. I come to You, through the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit, of God, and commit my will and my ways to Jesus Christ my precious Lord now and forever more. Amen.
