New Blog Post: "God’s Righteousness"

Psalm 5:12 NIV For surely, O Lord, You bless the righteous; You surround them with Your favour as with a shield.

It takes time to know how to walk in a righteous way with God. We have to learn this lesson through the Holy Spirit of God. It does not come naturally in manmade rules but it comes through the supernatural power of the Spirit of God. He is the One who teaches us how to do this.
Firstly, we must want to walk in the way that Jesus walked with His Father in uprightness and honesty. We must be observant to the morality which is all around us. We must have a correct moral code that gives glory and praise to God through the Holy Spirit of God.
Secondly, we must always consider that we are behaving in the way God wants. We must want to glorify His Name and our behaviour will show this. Our conscience will be pricked by God’s Spirit if we walk out of step with God.
We should ask God for the Spirit of Discernment which will enable us to discern the evil forces around us. God is the One who will shine forth His light into the darkness and make us aware when we are not in His will. The evil one will do all he can to make us walk in the wrong path. The Holy Spirit of God will make us strong and we will be able to overcome the darkness with His help. This is why God sent the Holy Spirit of God to us. When He, the Spirit of truth comes; He will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on His own; He will speak only what He hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come. He will bring glory to Me by taking from what in Mine and making it known to you. All that belongs to the Father is Mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is Mine and make it known to you. (John 16:13-15 NIV). We must always be perceptive to the Holy Spirit of God seeking His guidance and instruction handling things in His way and in accordance to His will through prayer and reading the Word of God. God will bless His righteous people and surround them with His favour and His shield as long as their hearts believe in the Lord Jesus Christ walking in faith through Him then the righteousness of God will prevail.
