‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Holy Spirit of Promise

Ephesians 1:14 NLT The Spirit is God’s guarantee that He will give us the inheritance He promised and that He has purchased us to be His own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify Him.

The Holy Spirit of God is God’s guarantee that we belong to Him and that He will do what He has promised. The Holy Spirit is like a down payment, a deposit, a validating signature on the contract. The presence of the Holy Spirit in us demonstrates the genuineness of our faith, proves that we are God’s children, and secures eternal life for us. His power works in us to transform us now, and what we experience now is a taste of the total change we will experience in eternity.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, since I first heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ, my faith has become strong in Him. I praise and thank You for sending Your Holy Spirit, to dwell and live within me. He has brought me the Good News of Jesus Christ. I continually ask You to give me spiritual wisdom and guidance to continue walking in the glory of Him. I pray my heart will be flooded with Light so that I can understand the confident hope He has given to those He called – His holy people who are His rich and glorious inheritance. I also pray that I will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for I believe in Him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him in the place of honour at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. I commit and commend this prayer into Your hands in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Eternal God

Deuteronomy 33:27 NLT The eternal God is your refuge, and His everlasting arm under you. He drives out the enemy before you; He cries out, ‘Detroy them!’

I declared to the Lord, He is my refuge and strength; He is my true security. I know I can trust God completely, and I have no need to put my trust in the world; as the world has let me down time and time again.
Having a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, has shown me how faithful and true Jesus Christ has been to me. Jesus, sent the Holy Spirit of God to dwell and live within me; He  has taught me the truth about the Gospel of Christ. Jesus, is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no-one can come to the Father except through Him.
Gods everlasting arms are underneath me to catch me when the shaky supports that I have trusted, collapse and fall. No storm can destroy me when I take refuge in Him. Those without God, however, must forever be cautious. One mistake may wipe them out. Living for God in this world may look risky business. But it is the godless who are on shaky ground. Because God is our refuge, we can dare to be bold.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I thank You that You are my eternal God, who is my refuge and strength. You are my true security, and I can trust You completely. I have no need to trust the world, as Your everlasting arms are underneath me. You drive out the enemy before me; You cry out,’Destory them’, and they fall. How grateful and thankful I am to You, O God, for sending Your precious Son, the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit of God; to dwell and live within me now and forever more. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – I Belong to God

Psalm 73:23-25 NLT Yet I still belong to You; You hold my right hand. You guide me with Your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny. Whom have I in heaven but You? I desire You more than anything on earth.

The moment I had my ‘Divine Encounter’ with God I knew I belonged to Him. He is my confidence and I am certain of His presence and guidance. From the time of my birth to death, I am continually in God’s grip. But far more, I have the hope of the resurrection. Though my courage and strength may fail, I know one day I will be raised to life to serve Jesus Christ forever. His is my security, and strength and I must always cling to Him. He holds me by His right hand. He guides me with His counsel, and He will lead me to a glorious destiny. Whom have I in heaven but You? And earth has nothing I desire but You.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You that I still belong to You; You hold me by my right hand. You guide and lead me with Your Holy Spirit, and guide me with Your divine counsel. You have a plan that will lead me to a glorious destiny. Whom have I in heaven but You, O God; and earth has nothing I desire besides You. You are all that I need in the name of Jesus Christ, my precious Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Waiting on God

Psalm 27:14 NLT Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.

God has shown me how I am to wait patiently for Him. Waiting on God, for me at times has not been easy. Often it seems that He is not answering my prayers or doesn’t understand the urgency of my situation. I now know this is the wrong kind of thinking, and it implies that God is not in control or is not being fair to me. But I have found God is worth waiting for. The more I read the Scriptures, the more I can see my hope should be in Him. I should wait upon the Lord, because often God uses times of waiting to refresh, renew, and teach me what He wants me to understand and know. The Holy Spirit of God has taught me how to wait upon God, and make good use of my time by discovering what God maybe trying to teach me.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, teach me how You want me to live. Lead me along the right path, protect me from all my enemies who are waiting for me. Do not let me fall into their hands, for they accuse me of things I have never done; with every breath they threaten me with violence. Yet, I am confident in the Lord, I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living. I wait patiently for the Lord. I will be brave and courageous. Yes, I will wait patiently for the Lord, for He is my ever present help in all my times of trouble, thank You Jesus for always being there for me. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Mercies

Lamentations 3:23-26 NLT Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning. I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in Him!” The Lord is good to those who depend on Him, to those who search for Him. So it is good to wait quietly for salvation from the Lord.

I knew from my own personal experience how God’s faithfulness has helped me. God, has willing responded to me, when I prayed to Him and asked Him for help. Whatever difficulty I have had to face, God has always been with me and brought me through each trial I’ve had. I submitted to the yoke of His discipline and learnt what He wanted to teach me. This involved several important factors: (1) silent reflection on what God wants, (2) repentant humility, (3) self-control in the face of adversity, and (4) confident patience, depending on the divine Teacher to bring about loving lessons in my life. God has several long-term lessons for me right now. I was willing to do my homework and obey what He wants me to do for the honour, praise, and glory of Jesus Christ.

Prayer

Holy Spirit, I ask for Your wisdom, grace, mercy, and strength to enable me to do what You require me to do for the honour and glory of Jesus Christ. I praise and thank You for all Your mercies, grace and faithfulness You have given to me as I put my hope and trust in You. I lean, depend, and rely upon You for all my needs. In Christ Jesus, I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Be Strong in the Lord

Ephesians 6:10,18 NLT A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.

In the Christian life we battle against rulers and authorities (the powerful evil forces of fallen angels headed by the devil), who is a vicious fighter. As we see in God’s Word, we must be strong in the Lord and in His mightier power. We continue to pray in the Spirit of God at all times and on every occasion. We must stay alert and be persistent in ur prayers for all believers everywhere.
God has given His people a vision to do His perfect will and with His Spirit, He helps us to see the vision He has given to us: Habakkuk 2:3 NLT The vision is for future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.
God gives us a vision, and we must be determined we will do our part within it. Our expectations must come from God, and at His appointed time He will bring His plan to pass. It may take a number of years for this vision to be born on earth, but we must remember what God has said He will do. Maybe it’s because God is doing things in other people’s lives, which may need to be dealt with first before our vision may come to pass. He may be delivering or strengthening each one of us, preparing us for what maybe ahead. I am sure that God is preparing us to cope with the task He is about to give to us. We must trust Him and have confidence in Him, but it will be in His way and on His time scale. He will never let us down, and we know He never will.

Prayer

Father, help us to keep our eyes focused upon You at all times. This is a time where we need to call out to You, to help us to be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. We must pray in the Spirit at all times and all occasions. We need to stay alert and be persistent in prayer for all believers everywhere. Help us to keep on the path of Your commandments, and wait for the vision You have prepared for our lives, to come to pass at Your appointed time. May the honour, glory, praise, joy, of the Lord Jesus Christ, be Yours now and forever more. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Joyful Call to Worship

Psalm 89:15 NLT Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship, for they will walk in the light of Your presence, Lord.

Sometimes, it is hard to walk in the way God wants us to. He wants us to walk in righteousness, justice, love, and truth. These are the foundation of God’s throne; they are central characteristics of the way God rules. They summarise His character. As we are called to be His ambassadors, we should exhibit the same traits when we deal with people. We must try to make sure our actions flow out of righteousness, justice, love, and faithfulness, because any unfair, unloving, or dishonest action cannot come from God.
Though human leaders have much to offer, we must keep our eyes on Christ, our ultimate leader. Unlike any human leaders, He will never change. Christ has been and will be the same forever. In a changing world we can trust our unchanging Lord.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I am happy when I joyfully worship You. I am able to walk in the Light of Your Presence. Sometimes, I find it hard to walk in the way You want me to. My spirit, heart, body, mind, and soul wants to walk in righteousness, justice, love, and truth. I need the Holy Spirit of God, to help me. I ask Him to fill me full with His supernatural power, grace, strength, mercy, and love in the name of Jesus Christ. I ask this prayer in His precious and holy name. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Promises

Genesis 28:15 NLT What’s more, I am with you, and I will protect you wherever you go. One day I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have finished giving you everything I have promised you.

When God, gives you a promise it may not happen straight away. Sometimes, it may be instant, other times it may be months, and even years. We must never stop praying until we see the results of God’s promises being fulfilled. It helps us to establish our relationship with God. It builds us up in faith. It shows us glimpse of what God will do when we place our trust, love, and faith in Him. We all must have that unique and personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. We cannot make man/women believe and we must not try to push our believes onto others. All we can do is tell them the truth of what God has done, then continue in prayer for them and leave them in them in the controlling hand of God. I have been praying many years for my loved ones. I have seen the glory of the Lord, as I have seen them come through to honour, glorify, and magnify the Lord. By no means did any of my family/friends come instantly to the Lord, but I know because God has seen my faithfulness to Him, and to them; He has answered me at His appointed time. One thing I have learnt in my walk with God, never to give up on them as God never gave up on me.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, hw grateful and thankful I am to You for always protecting me and taking care of me; as I place my love, trust, confidence, and faith in You. I know what You have said and promised will come to pass at Your appointed time in Jesus Christ name, and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Inspired by God

2 Timothy 3:16-17 NLT All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realise what is wrong for our lives; it corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip His people to do every good work.

God’s Word has really inspired me over the years, reading it daily has changed my life.  It has given me wisdom, understanding, knowledge, which previously I did not have. I was so ignorant before I met with God, and was not confident in anything I did.
When I began to apply God’s Word, and teachings to my life, I began to absorb His teachings, and knew I was in the ‘Holy Spirit School’. His teaching are great, awesome and true. I longed, yearned, and thirsted for God’s Word and could not get enough of His teachings. I was learning new and great things, which I had never experienced before. The Bible opened my eyes and heart to know great and exciting times were ahead for me. For the first time in my life, I had a meaning and a purpose, and felt I was going to be used by God to help others, as He had helped me. He was teaching me how to test everything I listen too, against the Word of God, which claimed to be true. It became my safeguard against false teachings, now the Word of God was giving me guidance in how to live a godly life. It is my only source of knowledge and how we can be saved. God wanted to show me what is true and He equips and empowers me to live for Him. I am now confident in my life and faith in Him.

Prayer

Father, how greatful I am to You for teaching me the truth in Your Word. Thank You for teaching me through the Holy Spirit of God, all about Jesus, and His sacrifice on the Cross for me a sinner. I have repented from everything I did before I knew Him, and now I am forgiven and have become: A new creation, created in Christ Jesus unto good works; which God before ordained I should walk ye in Him. He has set me free to love, honour, obey, Him. My heart, mind, body, soul, and spirit is full of love, praise and thanksgiving for everything He has done for me His child in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God Has Sent His Spirit

2 Corinthians 5:5 NLT God Himself has prepared us for this, and as a guarantee He has given us His Holy Spirit.

I thank God that He has sent His Holy Spirit, to abide within me. He is my guarantee of what will come. He works in my life today and assures me that the healing process will be thoroughly completed in  Christ’s presence. The Holy Spirit reminds me of Scripture, convicts me of sin, restrains me from selfish behaviour, or He prompts me to love you which is evidence that He is present within me. The moment I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour and Lord, the Holy Spirit, began His transformation process within me. Whether I deal with aches and pains or even disabling limitations, I trust God that His total renovation of my body and soul is in process. This is great to know, God has me in the Psalms of His Hands, and this really does encourage me.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I praise and thank You for sending Your Holy Spirit to abide within me. He is my guarantee of what will come to my life. He is working in my life today, and He assures me that the healing process of my body, mind, spirit, and soul; will be throughly completed in Jesus  Christ’s presence. How grateful and thankful I am to Him for everything He is doing within my life, I cannot ever thank Him enough. I surrender, relinquish, and yield and commit my life to God in the precious name of Jesus Christ, and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – The Battle Belongs to God

1 Samuel 14:6-7 NLT Let’s go across to the of those pagans, “Jonathan said to his armor bearer.” Perhaps the Lord will help us, for nothing can hinder the Lord. He can win a battle whether He has many warrior’s or only a few!” “Do what you think is best,” the armor bearer replied. “I’m with you completely, whatever you decide.”

Whenever you place your trust in the Almighty God, and not in anyone else; you will not be afraid no matter what is ahead for you. God, knows who our enemies are. He knows the trials we face and this never will affect God’s ability to help us when we cry out to Him. God honours our faith, trust, love, and faithfulness to Him. We must bravely press ahead, and do what He calls us to do in accordance to His will; in obedience to the plans He has made individually for us. He will increase our faith, trust, confidence and give us the victory no matter what may surround us. God honours our brave actions when we stand for Him even though we may be overwhelmed at the odds against us. With Him, there are always enough resources to resist the pressures we face and we will win the battle. When God calls us into action, we must bravely commit what resources we have to God, and rely upon Him to lead us into victory.

Prayer

Gracious God, how grateful and thankful we are to You. You equip and empower us, and give us all the resources needed to do the will of God. We praise and thank You for Your precious Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit of God. We trust You to guide and lead us into victory, as we pray consistently in obedience to Him. We leave all the consequences of the battle to God, we worship, praise His name forevermore, committing and commending  all our prayers to Him in His name. Amen

Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Protection

1 Peter 1:5-6 NLT And through your faith, God is protecting you by His power until You receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see. So be truly glad. This is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while.

We are all going really trying times at the moment. With this horrible virus going throughout the world, it is the faith God gives to us through Jesus Christ our Lord; which makes us strong. Having a real relationship with God through His Spirit, teaches us how to be overcomers. Reading the Word of God, and through His Word shows us His love and faithfulness and promises. What He did for His people before us, encourages us that He also will do the same for us. He protected His people when plagues came previously, so He also will protect us from this plague we have now.

Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understand. Seek His will in all you do and He will show you which path to take.

We know that He protects His people with His grace, mercy, and power. We may not know how all this will turn out, but when we trust God, we must also remember He knows everything that is going on in the world, and He will work all things together for good for those who love Him and His name.

Prayer

Jesus, we thank and praise You, for the faith You have given to us Your people to trust that everything will be alright. We thank You that You are protecting us with Your supernatural power in this world. We live in the shelter of the Most High God, and we will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God and I trust Him. For He will rescue us from every trap and protect us from deadly disease. He will cover us with His feathers, He will shelter us with His wings. His faithful promises are our armour and protection. We need not be afraid, for the Lord our God is with us wherever we go and He will lead us into victory, for the praise and honour of His precious name in Jesus Christ our precious Lord. Amen

Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Birth Your Vision

Taken from A House of Prayer- Daily Devotional – Avril English

Reading:

Daniel 9:22-23 “God’s vision will come to pass.”

Prayer

Father, through the minister of the church You instructed me to follow the Lord Jesus Christ. I am following Your instructions in obedience. Thank You for giving me the insight and understanding enabling me to put Your Words into practice and have Your teachings in the centre of my heart and life. As I pray and read Your Word, Your teachings are unfolding within my heart through the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. You say to me, “Many souls are going to be redeemed and saved through my testimony and witness.” Satan has tried all he can to shake my faith he tries to destroy my family, friends, and me. You constantly remind me of the covenant You have made with me. I cling to Your promises as You have planted the “seed in my body”. Now I pray You would birth Your vision and plans to the earth where I will be able to magnify and glorify my God. You are a great God, an Almighty God, and only You are worthy to be praised. Amen

Lessons To Be Learnt

When God tells you He is going to do something in your life you, either believe Him or doubt Him. When He speaks His Word to us, we must always trust Him to do what He has said and test it alongside Scripture. We must not want to do anything God does not want us to do. All we should want is to be in the centre of His will and do things the way He asks us to do them. His peace continues to reign within our hearts. He will never let us down. If you are still waiting for God to birth the vision He has promised you here on this earth, You may have to wait until God is ready to do this. He may be preparing us to be ready and equipping you to do His work. It is no good going out into the world if the Master has not first taught you. You must first go into the “Holy Spirit’s School of Teaching”, where He teaches the lessons you must learn.

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Confident Faith

Hebrews 11:1 NLT Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen. It gives us assurance about things we cannot see.

The beginning point of faith is believing in God’s character. He is who He says. The end point is believing in God’s promises: He will do what He says. When we believe that God will fulfill His promises even though we don’t see those promises materialising yet, we demonstrate true faith. Faith is the confidence based on past experience that God’s new and fresh surprises will surely will be ours.
Openess to His Presence is all about faith: believing that though He is invisible, He is both Real and really with us. Each one of His believers has a unique relationship with Him, it is up to the individual to have confidence and faith to trust Him and being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

Prayer

Holy Spirit, fill me in the fullness of faith. Grant to me faith that is confident in Jesus Christ. Help me to believe in God’s promises: and know He will do what He says He will do, even though those promises are yet to materialise just yet.
Holy Spirit, I pray You will enable and empower me; in Your supernatural power to follow Him. May my relationship with Jesus, be bold, courageous and strong. No, matter is ahead for me I trust that God will guide and lead me into His perfect plan forever and always in the name of Jesus Christ my precious Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Give Your Burdens to God

Psalm 145:13-14 NLT For Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. You rule throughout all generations. The Lord always keeps His promises; He is gracious in all He does. The Lord helps the fallen and lifts those bent beneath their load.

Sometime our burdens seem more than we can bear, and we wonder how can we go on. This is the time when we need to go to Jesus, and ask Him to carry the heavy load for us. (Matthew 11:28-30), we need to put onto ourselves His yoke, mantle, characteristics, and nature and take our hands off what has been troubling us.
We need to meditate on the Lord, and keep our eyes focused upon Him and not on our struggles. He is the great burden bearer. God is able to lift us up because (1) His greatness is beyond discovery (2) He does mighty acts for each generations; (3) He is full of majestic glorious splendour; (4) He does awe-inspiring deeds; (5) He is righteous; (6) He is kind, merciful, patient, loving, and compassionate; (7) He rules over an everlasting kingdom; (8) He is our Source of all our daily needs; (9) He is righteous and kind in all His dealings; (10) He remains close to those who call on Him;  (11) He hears our cries and rescues us. If we are carrying heavy burdens, turn to God for His help. He is ready to lift us up and bear your burden for us.

Prayer

Heavenly Father , Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. You rule throughout all generations. You always keep Your promises; You are gracious in all You do. Lord, You will carry all my burdens for me, as I ask You too. How grateful and thankful I am to You, almighty God;  that in the name of Jesus, I can take His yoke, mantle, characteristics, personality, nature upon myself and learn from Him. For His yoke is easy and His burdens are light. I trust in Him at all times, I pour out my heart before Him; for He is my refuge and  strength an ever present help in all my times of troubles. I give Him all the praise, thanksgiving, adoration, and love in the name of Jesus Christ my precious Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Unlimited Resources

Ephesians 3:16 NLT I pray that from His glorious, unlimited resources He will empower you with inner strength through His Spirit.

It is good to know that God fills us with His glorious, unlimited resources and He empowers us with His inner strength through His Spirit. Without Christ Jesus, living within our hearts making His home in us; we will not be able to trust Him. Our roots need to grow deep into God’s love and this will keep us strong. We also need the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit, to understand as all God’s people should, how long, wide, and deep His love is. It is so important if we want to receive God’s blessings, to stay in contact with other believers in the body of Christ. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully, but He will make you complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Prayer

Father, it is so good to know that out of Your glorious, unlimited resources You will empower me with inner strength through Your Holy Spirit. I am so thankful that Jesus lives within my heart, and He has made His home in me. He has taught me how to place my trust and condfidence fully in Him. May my roots grow deep into God’s love and I know this will keep me strong. I also know I need the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit, to understand as all God’s people should, how long, wide, and deep His love for me is. It is so important for me to receive God’s blessings as I fellowship and stay in contact with other believers in the body of Christ. May I experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully, but He will make me compete with all the fullness of His life and power, which comes from God. I give You all the praise, thanksgiving, adoration and love in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – A New Nature

Ephesians 4:22 NLT Put on your new nature created to be like God – truly righteous and holy.

When we accepted Jesus into our lives, the old life and old clothes have to be discarded. This is a once-for-all decision when we decided to accept Christ’s gift of salvation by making a daily, conscious commitment. We must never be driven by desires or impulses. We must accept this new role and head in the new direction and new way of thinking that the Holy Spirit provides. The Holy Spirit will guide and lead us into the insights of God’s plans, thoughts, and actions. It is important to be aligning in our thinking with God and His Word. In fact, our mind must be focused at all times on God. Our relationship with Jesus will become clearer and more intimate. We all should wish to be to like Christ with all of His attributes and habits and be obedient and humble before Him in every part of our lives.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, help me not to bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way I live. Help me to remember He has identified me as His own, guaranteeing me I will be saved on the day of redemption .
Help me Lord, to get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behaviour. Instead help me to be kind, tender hearted, forgiving full of mercy and grace and loving one another, just as Jesus Christ has taught me to be. I wish to be more Christ-like having all of His attributes and habits and be obedient and humble before Hm in every part of my life. I praise and thank You for answering my prayer in Jesus name. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – I Am Convicted

John 16:8 NLT And when He comes, He will convict the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness and of the coming judgment.

There are three important tasks of the Holy Spirit are (1) convicting the world of its sin and calling it to repentance, (2) revealing the standard of God’s righteousness, to anyone who believes, because Christ would no longer be physically present on earth, and (3) demonstrating Christ’s judgment over Satan.
We need the Holy Spirit so much more than we could ever imagine. He is the One who convicts the world of being in sin. He is the One who calls us to repent and reveals the standard of God’s righteousness to anyone who believes.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, how greatful I am to You, for forgiving me of all my sins in the name of Jesus Christ. Thank You for sending Your Holy Spirit to live within my heart, and He is the One who convicts me of all my sin. He enables and empowers me to admit my sins before You. I acknowledge I have sinned against You and You alone. I am so sorry for allowing the sin of “negativity”, to sin against You, and I ask You to forgive me my sin and set me free from “negativity” once and for all in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Wash and sanctify me in the Blood of Christ, and deal with negativity within me. This negativity does not fit who I am in Jesus Christ anymore. I ask the Spirit of God, to help me to become the person God wants me to become, enabling me to fit in with God’s standards and to focus on Him at all times. I praise and thank You for answering this prayer. I commit and commend it to God,  in the name of Jesus Christ my precious Lord. Amen.

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – A Great God

Psalm 18:30-32 TLB What a God he is! How perfect in every way! All his promises prove true. He is a shield for everyone who hides behind him. For who is God except our Lord? Who but he is as a rock? He fills me with strength and protects me wherever I go.

I can see through God’s Word, what a great God, He is. He is perfect in every way! All His promises have proven true to me. He is my shield and shade and He strengthens me, protects me, when I am weak He makes me strong. He guides me with His Counsel in order to send me back into an evil world to fight for Him. Then He continues to work within me because the strongest person on earth is infinitely weaker than God and needs His help. I realise even though I am a prayer warrior for Him, I know that only God can ultimately protect and save me. God doesn’t promise to eliminate challenges I face, instead, He promises to give me strength to meet those challenges with Him instructing, guiding, and leading me along the best pathway for my life. He advises me and He watches my progress.

Prayer

O gracious God, what a great God you are! You are perfect in every way. You have proven to me Your promises are true. You shield me from the enemy, and help me to overcome. For who is God except my Lord? You are my Rock, and You fill me strength and You protect me wherever I go. You guide me with Your Counsel in order to keep me on the right path. I am Your ‘Prayer Warrior’, and I know only You can ultimately use me to fight the good fight in faith, but You don’t promise to eliminate the challenges I face, instead You promise to give me strength to meet those challenges with Your instructions. You guide me along  the best pathway for my life. You advice me and watch over my progress, for the glory, honour, and praise of Your precious name Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Assurance

Psalm 121:5-8 NLT The Lord Himsellf watches over you! The Lord stands beside you as Your protective shade. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night. The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The Lord keep watch over you as you come and go both now and forever.

God’s Word brings me the assurance and hope I need to get me through each day. He protects me from the evil forces of this world. I will trust Him in everything I do, and will include Him in my day, from the moment I wake-up, and until the time when I go to bed.
He holds my day in His hands. I will not settle for a lesser power than God Himself. But not only is He all-powerful, He watches over me. Nothing diverts or deters Him. I am completely safe in His hands. I will never outgrow my need for Him. He goes before me and He is with me wherever I go. I am not afraid anymore; nor am I discouraged. He is my loving Saviour, and also my infinite God. He is omnipresent: present everywhere at once. He has made it possible for Him to go ahead of me – opening up the way – without ever leaving my side.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for watching over me, and taking care of me daily. Thank You for bringing me the assurance and hope I need to get me through each day. I trust You in everything You have planned for my life in the name of Jesus Christ. I know You will never leave me nor forsake me. I will not be afraid; nor will I be discouraged. I will not settle for a lesser power than God Himself. You are all-powerful, and You watch over me. Nothing will divert or deter You from fulfilling the plans You have made for my life, You are my loving Savour, and also my infinite God. You are omnipresent: present everywhere at once. You have made it possible and You go ahead of me- opening up the way – without ever leaving my side. How grateful and thankful I am to You almighty God. I pray that You fill me with Your glorious riches, and strengthen me with Your power; through Your Spirit in my inner most being; so that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith. I pray I may grow rich in the glory of Jesus, drawing closer and deeper with Him forever and always. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Eternal Life

John 6:63 TLB Only the Holy Spirit gives eternal life.[a] Those born only once, with physical birth,* will never receive this gift. But now I have told you how to get this true spiritual life.

The Father shows us it is never too late to bring revival to our family, friends, and neighbours. He will use us wherever He chooses. The Holy Spirit prompts us when He wishes that we help others. The Holy Spirit will equip us to enable us to transform people’s lives in the name of Jesus Christ. We must be willing to stand in the gap for these people God wants us to pray for and pray for them until they come through the darkness and into the light with Jesus Christ. We must never give up until we see our prayers answered and people saved and redeemed.

Prayer

Holy Spirit, I praise and thank You for giving me eternal life. I thank You for showing me how to get this true spiritual life. Through Jesus Christ, I am ‘Born Again’, He has forgiven me all of my sins, and He does not hold anything against me. I am forgiven from all my sin. How grateful and thankful I am to You, O God; for sending Your precious Son to live and reign within my heart.
Father, You have shown me it is never to late to bring revival to my family, friends, and neighbours. I will never give up praying for my family, friends, and neighbours no matter how long it takes. I will see my petitions and prayers answered for them at God’s appointed time. I praise and thank God now in faith, for answering all my petitions. May the joy of His salvation come into their hearts through the precious name of Jesus Christ. We are a new creation, created in Christ Jesus unto good works which God has before ordained that we should walk ye in Him. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Blessed in the Lord

Jeremiah 17:7-8 NLT But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water.Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.

Sometimes, it is hard to trust someone You cannot see, but over the years I have learnt to trust in the unseen (Jesus Christ), He has been far better to me than if I had trusted in   human beings. Trusting in God, has been far greater to me, than I could have ever imagined. He has given me the hope and confidence where men/woman never have. He has never let me down. When I have trouble, when I have put my trust in human beings; they have continually let me down. When I put my trust and turned to the Lord, I have had abundant strength, not only for my needs, but also for the needs of others. God, has planted me beside a long riverbank, where my roots grow down deep into the waters with Jesus Christ. I trust Him to lead me step by step through each day. He provides sufficient Light for me but only one day at a time. If I try to look into the future, I find myself peering into darkness: His Face shines upon me only in the present! This is where I find His gracious Love that has never failed me. I want to live ever so near to Him - flourishing in His transforming Light forever and always through the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God, in Christ.

Prayer

Father, I have set the Lord always before me. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen me with power through His Spirit in my innermost being, so that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith. And I pray that I may be rooted and established in love, may have the power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that I may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God for the honour, praise, and glory of God in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – I Belong to God

Psalm. 73:23-24 NLT Yet I still belong to You; You hold my right hand. You guide me with Your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny.

Prayer

Gracious God, I still belong to You; You hold me by my right hand. You guide me with Your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny. Those who love Your instructions have great peace and do not stumble. I long for Your rescue, Lord, so I have obeyed Your commands. I have obeyed Your laws, for I love them very much. Yes, I obey Your commandments and laws because You know everything I do.
Today, I spend time in Your presence, letting Your peace wash over my heart. I focus on Your truth and Your capability rather than my problems or incapacity. You are able to take everything that is troubling me today and exchange it for peace that is beyond what I could ever imagine. I praise and thank You always and forever more in the precious name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Path of Life

You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of Your presence and the pleasures of living with You forever. Psalm 16:11 NLT

God is my Teacher, and through the years walking with Him, has taught me to understand the Scriptures. He blesses and guides and leads me; and even at night He instructs my heart. He makes known to me the path of life; and I am filled with joy in His presence,
Learning, to trust God at first was quite hard for me, but through reading His Word daily, He has strengthened and given me confidence to trust Him in faith.
Therefore, I can come boldly to the throne of grace in prayer. He guides and leads me in prayer, through the Holy Spirit of God. He knows what He wants me to pray and how to pray with wisdom and confidence for His people. He satisfies my soul with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise His name. I have obtained mercy, grace, and divine favour which is a great honour from Him.
Whatever my troubles maybe, in Jesus Christ; I will not be shaken. The Holy Spirit of God, gives me supernatural strength and power to overcome whatever I have to face. He is my Greatest Friend, whom I trust.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, You are my hiding place. You protect me from trouble, You surround me with songs of victory. You will guide me along the best pathway for my life. You will advise me and watch my progress. I praise and thank You for everything You have done in the past, and for everything You are doing for my future in the precious name of Jesus Christ.  Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – I Know You Will Answer Me

Psalm 17:6-8 TLB Why am I praying like this? Because I know you will answer me, O God! Yes, listen as I pray. Show me your strong love in wonderful ways, O Savior of all those seeking your help against their foes. Protect me as you would the pupil of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings as you hover over me.

Knowing God is our shelter gives us strength. He guards us a mother hen guards her chicks. We will never be able to avoid pain or suffering, but with Jesus we are able to overcome all pain. We are the “apple” of His eye. When trouble comes our way, He gives us knowledge to know He has travelled the route before us. This helps us understand how we must ask Him about the traps and pitfalls we may fail to see and for Him to protect us. God is our protection. He knows what life holds for us on this earth. He has sent the legion of His angels to guard and protect us. We are protected when we put our love and faith and confidence in His abilities and not our own. God demonstrates His faithfulness to us and delivers us through each one of our trials.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I am praying like this? Because I know You will answer Me, O God! Yes, listen as I pray. Show me Your strong love in wonderful ways, O Saviour of all those seeking Your help against their foes. Protect me as You would the pupil of Your eye; hide me in the shadow of Your wings as You hover over me. You give me strength when I am weak. I know I cannot avoid pain or suffering, but with Jesus on my side I am able to overcome all pain. You have given me knowledge to know You have travelled the route before me. This helps me to understand how I must ask You to show me the traps and pitfalls I may fail to see and I ask You to protect me. You hold my life in Your hands. You have sent the legion of Your angels to guard and protect me, because I put my love, faith, confidence in Your abilities and not my own. I praise and thank You forever and always in the name of Jesus Christ, and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Blinded by Satan

2 Corinthians 4:3-4 TLB If the Good News we preach is hidden to anyone, it is hidden from the one who is on the road to eternal death. Satan, who is the god of this evil world, has made him blind, unable to see the glorious light of the Gospel that is shining upon him or to understand the amazing message we preach about the glory of Christ, who is God.

Satan will try to blind everyone from knowing the truth of who Jesus Christ is. He does not want people to be saved or redeemed. Satan is the god of this age, and his work is to deceive, not have people believe in Jesus Christ. Until we accept and receive in faith Jesus Christ is Lord and Saviour, the gospel is veiled from us. We must ask God to help us to help the needs of unbelievers and to open the door of opportunity for them so He can show us the ways and means of how to reach them with the Gospel. We need God’s love and strength to be bold and courageous, enabling us to speak up when necessary. We need to strip off anything that slows us down or holds us back. We need to fix our eyes not on what is seen but on what is unseen, as what is seen is temporary and what is unseen is eternal. We should walk by faith and not by sight.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I ask You to give me boldness and faith, so that I have courage to speak out when the opportunities, arise in Christ. Guide and lead me to the people who need the truth of the Gospel, and help me to show them the Way, the Truth, and the Light, forever in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen
