A House Of Prayer: New Blog Post: 'Security In God'

Job 8:14-15 ESV His confidence is severed, and his trust is a spider’s web. He leans against his house, but it does not stand; he lays hold of it, but it does not endure.

Prayer

O my beloved God, You are my Saviour and Redeemer. You are my salvation, and I will trust in You and I will not be afraid. You are my Lord Jehovah who is my strength, my song, and my salvation in front of me and behind me. O God, help me to trust You from this hour, this minute, and to trust You with my body, mind, spirit, and soul. I trust and acknowledge You to choose and select my path. Show me how to seek You with all my heart. Remove any doubts from me, as doubts do not come from God. I refuse them. God, I ask You to anoint me with a greater faith in Jesus Christ. Please give me more of Your anointing than I had before, as I want more of Your presence within me. Holy Spirit, when Satan comes with his lies, please show me how to deal with them in the truth of God’s Word and promises. Amen.

We all need the basic security and will do almost anything we can to feel secure. Eventually our money, possessions, knowledge, and relationships will fail or be gone. Only God can give us lasting security, so we must trust Him for our security. If we attain a secure foundation with God then the feelings of insecurity will not undermine us.

New Blog Post: Come Into God’s House And Meet With Him In Prayer- ‘My Captivity Has Ended‘

Key Verse: Ezekiel 39:25 “Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will now bring Jacob back from captivity and will have compassion on all the people of Israel, and I will be zealous for My holy name.

Prayer

Almighty God, thank You for ending my captivity. You are showing me Your mercy and compassion. I accept responsibility for my past shame and treachery against You. I admit my sins before You and ask for Your forgiveness. The story of the battle continues. The defeat of the evil forces will be final and complete against me, they will be destroyed by divine intervention. Because of this victory, Your name will be known throughout the world. Your glory will be evident, and the nations will understand that You alone are in charge of human history. You will clearly show Your love for Your people by restoring them to their homeland.  Your holiness will be displayed to the nations. You are zealous for Your holy reputation. Then Your people will know You are the Lord their God – responsible for sending them away into exile and responsible for bringing them home again. You will leave none of Your people behind. The message for me is an exciting one: with God on my side, I am assured of ultimate victory over my foes. God will fight for me on my behalf. He will pour out His Spirit upon me. Your holiness will be displayed by what happens to me in Jesus Christ Name. Amen

Lesson’s to be Learned

The story of my battle continued. The defeat of the evil forces would be final and complete; God would destroy them by His divine intervention. Because of this victory, I would testify to the glory of God’s name throughout the world. His glory will be evident, and the nations will understand that He alone is in charge of human history. God will clearly show His love for His people by restoring them to their homeland. It was God who exiled me into another land. The reason being He wanted to deliver me from everything that wasn’t of Him. He showed His great mercy towards me. He was zealous for His holy reputation. I had accepted responsibility for my past shame and treachery against God. I admitted all my sin before Him before I knew His name. He was responsible for sending me away into exile and He was responsible for bringing me home again. He would never leave me behind. He has ended my captivity by bringing me back to the place He exiled me from.

’New Blog Post – ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet wHim in Prayer’ - ‘Help Me In My Mistakes’

                                                  Reading: Proverbs 2:8-10

                                                      “He guards the course.”

                                                                  Prayer

Father, You guard the courts of the just and protect the way of Your faithful ones. I praise and thank You for this. Father, I have made many mistakes in my life because I was unable to make the right choices or make right decisions. I did not know Your name then. When I met with Jesus, this was the best choice and decision I have ever made. I accept Him as my personal Saviour and Lord. Grant me Godly Wisdom. Lead me into the decisions, which are right, just, equitable, and good, not only for me personally but with everyone who is involved with me.
You know the great plans You have for me. Let me walk a life that is completely surrendered to the Lordship of Christ and yield to the obedience of His Sovereign and perfect will. I desire only those things You want for me with my life in Christ Jesus. Amen

New Blog Post – ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Obedience Is The Only Way’

                                                              Prayer

Father God, just tell me what to do and I will do it. As long as I live I’ll wholeheartedly obey You in Jesus’ name, and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God; I do so pray.
Make me walk along the path of righteousness, holiness, and godliness, for I know how delightful they really are.
Holy Spirit, help me to prefer obedience in everything I do. Turn me away from wanting any other plans than Yours. Revive my heart towards You. Reassure me that Your promises are for me, for I trust and revere You.
Lord, I am overflowing with all Your blessings, just as You promised. Now teach me good judgment as well as knowledge. For Your laws are my guide. I use to wander off until You showed me how to return into You. Now, I closely follow all You say and obey the Holy Spirit of God. You are good and do only good; make me follow Your lead, for I will obey Your laws with all my heart for glory, honour, praise of Jesus’ name. Amen.

New Blog Post: - ‘Reading Today’ : ‘Jesus Matters Most’

I perceived that there is nothing better for them to be joyful and to do good as long as they live. (Ecclesiastes 3:12 ESV)

What truly matters is what Jesus thinks of us. We must not step out of His will, Jesus gives us the hope and faith we need. He fills us with joy and peace and knows whether we love Him or not.His life must overflow through our lives through the Holy Spirit of God. We have to come to the place with Him to accept His people for who they are. We should not wish to be judgmental or critical, especially when their faith is weak. Jesus is the One who heals any hurt, pain, abuse, and rejection that people give to us. We must ask Him to give us a pure heart, spirit, and mind to be renewed with the mind of Christ. We need His help in making all the right choices. We must learn to depend and lean upon Him and become more sensitive to the Spirit of God’s leading. We need to act quickly when we are behaving badly and ask that the Spirit of God to convict us immediately should we act incorrectly. We need godly emotions to flow into our lives and reject any other emotion except God’s. We need Jesus to give us the Spirit of Discernment, enabling us to discern the falsehood, deceit, and deception. We must want to walk on the path of righteousness, holiness, and godliness, this is the path which is straight and narrow.

For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few. (Matthew 7:14 ESV)

New Blog Post: - ‘Reading Today’ : ‘Boast About Our Love for God‘

I must go on boasting. Though there is nothing to be gained by it, I will go on to visions and revelations of the Lord. (2 Corinthians12:1 ESV)

We must not allow Satan to occupy our minds or to take up residence within our hearts. He knows our weaknesses, and the Devil uses our weaknesses against us every opportunity he can. It is through the Holy Spirit of God, who enlightens our hearts and minds to what is happening in the world. We need to seek God’s kingdom and His righteousness and ask Him to set us free from the enemies strongholds. We must continue to boast of our love for God, worshipping, praising, thanking Him, for everything He has done for us. Being a witness and testifying the goodness of the Lord, showing others we meet on our journey how great God is through Jesus Christ, and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God; He is the Sovereign Lord; and we should worship no other God but Him.

On behalf of this man I will boast, but not on my own behalf I will not boast, except of my weaknesses. (2 Corinthians 12:5 ESV)

New Blog Post – ‘Dispel the Enemy‘

No matter what happens always be thankful, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:18 TLB)

We must approach God’s throne with a thankful heart and reflect upon all the promises He has made with us. Singing praises to God, is the way we should be. It doesn’t matter what our trials and our circumstances maybe, when we place our trust in God, He will deliver us at His appointed time. Binding and blocking the strongholds we may have allowed into our lives is what Jesus has taught us to do. In Mark 3:27 TLB it says, ‘Satan must be bound before his demons are cast out,[*] just as a strong man must be tied up before his house can be ransacked and his property robbed.’ Praising and thanking God is one way we able to defeat the enemy. Another way to dispel the enemy is by praying in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Jesus has sent His Holy Spirit, and sealed us with His presence. He helps us in our journey with God to walk in holiness, godliness, and righteousness. It we step out of line, He will convict us of our sin. He enable us to repent and turn away from sin back to God, where He will cleanse us with the Blood of Christ. In the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God; He helps us to discern and teaches us how to dispel all the influences the enemy has had upon our lives before we had a relationship with Christ. Jesus has forgiven us once and for all, the enemy has no more holds upon us as we place our love, trust, faith, and confidence in God and not in man. God is already at work behind our back, working everything together for good – even if we are not yet experiencing that good.

God, who has called you to become His child, will do all this for you, just as He has promised. (1 Thessalonians 5:24 TLB)

New Blog Post – ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘God’s Spokesman’

Now go ahead and do as I tell you, for I will help you to speak well, and I will tell you what to say.” (Exodus 4:12 TLB)

God spoke and told me He wanted me to speak to the heart and core of His people, like Moses I was afraid. I had always felt inadequate in my life, but after my ‘Divine Encounter’ with Jesus Christ, and depending upon the Holy Spirit of God, I began to become bold and courageous. I loved God with all my heart, mind, body, spirit, and soul. However, I did need the supernatural strength and power of the Holy Spirit of God, to equip and empower me from heaven, to be obedient to Christ. I needed His wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and courage to speak God’s Word. I trusted God completely in everything. He has a plan for my life, so I knew He would direct my path to those who were in need of His love and comfort. Speaking out to others is hard to do, but standing on the promises of God, gave me confidence. I believed in faith He was building my life upon the rock and foundation of Jesus Christ, so I trusted Him when He called me to go; I obeyed His commandments. I had a great and faithful God. He has never let me down yet. Seeing God’s hand in my every day life, knowing He answers my prayers, gives me confidence and faith to go deeper with Him. He is a wonderful and awesome God, who has proved His faithfulness to me time and time again.

Dear brothers, warn those who are lazy, comfort those who are frightened, take tender care of those who are weak, and be patient with everyone. (1 Thessalonians 5:14 TLB)

New Blog Post – ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Saved by Christ’

I don’t mean to say I am perfect. I haven’t learned all I should even yet, but I keep working toward that day when I will finally be all that Christ saved me for and wants me to be. (Philippians 3:12 TLB)

I found it a wonderful experience when Jesus Christ saved me, I could now partake in experiencing the mighty power that raised Christ from death. He began teaching me suffering with Christ is sharing in His death so, I too can experience the resurrection. I wanted to work desperately towards what Jesus wanted me to become – focusing all my energies on Him, forgetting the past and the holds it had upon me. Now, I could look forward to the future God has for me. I wanted more than anything to obey the truth and follow the examples of Christ, which He left for me to follow, walking in submission and yielding and dedicating my life to the Holy Spirit of God. I laid aside everything harmful that would get in the way of my walk with God. I did not want anything that may distract me from being an effective Christian for God. All I wanted to be was what God had created me to be and follow Him all the days of my life on earth.

No, dear brothers, I am still not all I should be, but I am bringing all my energies to bear on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead.
(Philippians 3:13 TLB)

New Blog Post – ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Delighted in God’

Be delighted with the Lord. Then he will give you all your heart’s desires. (Psalm 37:4TLB)

Reading the Word of God teaches us how to understand the Scriptures by praying to God and also listening to our hearts to what God says. Our joy is constantly in Him, our expectations, dreams, plans, and ambitions are in Him. No longer do we want to do anything in our own strength or will. What we should want more than anything is to be in the centre of God’s will. After all, God has a plan for each persons life so we should not doubt Him. We must commit our will and ways to God in the name of Jesus Christ, daily. We should ask the Holy Spirit of God, to fill us afresh and anew with His supernatural strength, power, presence, and glory. He will enable and empower us to glorify, magnify, and exalt His name to all whom we meet and we will be able to testify, glorify, what Jesus has done for us.

Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him to help you do it, and he will.
(Psalm 37:5 TLB)

New Blog Post – ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘True Doctrine‘

The Lord God has given me his words of wisdom so that I may know what I should say to all these weary ones. Morning by morning he wakens me and opens my understanding to his will. (Isaiah 50:4 TLB)

The Lord has been very clear to me that He wants me to speak His Doctrine to His people. God has taught me how to remember and meditate upon His Word, by writing it upon my heart and mind. He has shown me the importance of  Scripture and praying with the  Spirit is very powerful. We are praying God’s Word back to Him. Having faith to believe God’s Word, establishes the truth in our hearts, minds, body’s, spirit’s, and soul’s. It gives us faith, confidence, trust, to believe our prayer’s are answered at His appointed time when we are obedient to Him. Declaring God’s works to His people is essential. We must spread the Good News, the Gospel of Christ; as far and wide as we can. Every opportunity God gives to us, we must speak out in truth and express God’s love. Our words must be seasoned with salt and spoken with grace. He commands us to pour oil in the ear, we must not offer a man what he wants to hear. Speaking the truth they can be saved, and only by Christ’s truth they can be set free.

A good man is known by his truthfulness; a false man by deceit and lies.
(Proverbs 12:17 TLB)

Keep a close watch on all you do and think. Stay true to what is right and God will bless you and use you to help others. (1 Timothy 4:16 TLB)

New Blog Post – ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘God Understands‘

If you want favor with both God and man, and a reputation for good judgment and common sense, then trust the Lord completely; don’t ever trust yourself. (Proverbs 3:4-5 TLB)

Trusting in God is the backbone of our faith. We must acknowledge God in everything we do. We must not lean upon our worldly understanding but depend upon God to give us the spiritual understanding we need from Him to walk with Him. He teaches us that we no longer need to carry any burden or heavy loads. Jesus wants to carry them for us if we will let Him. We must allow Him to do what is best for us. He helps us to make the right choices and decisions through the Holy Spirit of God. We must never omit any God - given ability for any reason. Jesus wants us to trust in His ideas and be counselled by Him. We must bring everything to Him in prayer. He will unfold the plans He has for us and bring us to the place where we will understand at His appointed time.

In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success. (Proverbs 3:6 TLB)

New Blog Post – ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Dealing with Evil’

So everywhere we go we talk about Christ to all who will listen, warning them and teaching them as well as we know how. We want to be able to present each one to God, perfect because of what Christ has done for each of them. This is my work, and I can do it only because Christ’s mighty energy is at work within me. (Colossians 1:28-29 TLB)

The day we believed and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ we begin to understand who we are in Him. We must not accept the negativity from man/women about ourselves, which is untrue. First, we have to admit to God we have allowed such feelings and emotions to affect our relationship with Him by limiting what He has given us. Even when family and friends doubt the plans and actions God may have scheduled for our lives, we still must obey God, and we will be blessed by doing so.
God will show us through His Spirit how we should deal with the Devil and his evil demonic forces, which control our mind-set. He empowers us through His supernatural power and teaches us to bind the Devil’s works, which rise up against us. Praying is the only way to deal with the trials we face. Matthew 18:18, tells us how to overcome the demonic forces by binding the strong man then dealing with him in Jesus Christ’s name and blood. We should allow nothing to cause us to doubt God’s Word or promises. Jesus is the One who set us free through His cross and the truth of His Word. He will do the same for us all.

How great he is! His power is absolute! His understanding is unlimited. The Lord supports the humble, but brings the wicked into the dust. (Psalm 147:5-6 TLB)

New Blog Post – ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘New Person’

So get rid of all that is wrong in your life, both inside and outside, and humbly be glad for the wonderful message we have received, for it is able to save our souls as it takes hold of our hearts. (James 1:21 TLB)

Through the Holy Spirit we are accepted by Him. We can now see ourselves through His eyes. He tells us we have been with Him from the very beginning. He gives us His love and contentment. The moment we accepted Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour and Lord into our lives, our lives will be changed radically. We experience a love, which is different from anything we previously experienced. We become joyous, happy, and full of love and happiness. We want to share Christ’s love with others as we wish they too would experience the same love we experience in Him. He plants the seed of God within us, and we wish His seed and love to flow from our heart to the heart of His people, sharing in the Kingdom of God and wanting others to be saved. His peace and joy are the products of our acceptance in Him. We can now see our life from His point of view. We do not need to struggle or feel lonely anymore, as He encourages us and shows us how to deal with negativity, incorrect thoughts, and ways that could lead to self-pity by the messages He sends to us, through His Spirit in our hearts. We are a new creation, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God ordained we should walk in Him.

When someone becomes a Christian, he becomes a brand new person inside. He is not the same anymore. A new life has begun! (2 Corinthians 5:17 TLB)

New Blog Post – ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Common Sense’

Lord, deal with me in loving-kindness, and teach me, your servant, to obey; for I am your servant; therefore give me common sense to apply your rules to everything I do.
(Psalm 119:124- 125 TLB)

Getting to know the Holy Spirit of God, should be a driving factor in our spiritual walk. We should be determined to be dependant upon Him to learn the truth about the Lord Jesus Christ. Through God’s Word, we ask the Holy Spirit of God, to increase our faith enabling  us to trust Jesus Christ more. We must ask Him for great fire to come down from heaven, enabling us to communicate the Gospel of Christ to His people. We need a greater discernment to help us better understand the Scriptures as well as increase our awareness of evil. Equally, we need to apply the Scriptures to our life situations that we often find ourselves in. This is the example that Christ gives us to follow. We need to be alert for the lessons He wishes to teach us, be it to learn, receive, hear, or see, and then put these into practice. We should be grateful and thankful to God for His grace, love, mercy, and peace He continually gives us.

Guide me with your laws so that I will not be overcome by evil. (Psalm 119:133 TLB)

New Blog Post – ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘All Glory to God’

Thank the Lord for all the glorious things he does; proclaim them to the nations.
(Psalm 105:1 TLB)

When we give the Lord all glory for all the things He does for us, we will never run out of new and surprising territory to explore. We should sing praises and tell everyone about His miracles. We should express our gratitude to Him for everything He does for us. This great adventure of seeking God and acknowledging Him, makes us want to make the right decisions He wants us to make. By meditating on His ways shows us how kind He has been to us and He delivers us and He reinforces our faith in times of adversity. Gratitude is also an acknowledgment of the truth. It shows appreciation of how God has lovingly blessed us. The colour of His kindness is vibrantly alive on the canvas of our lives. We first must learn to appreciate the artisan the artistic strokes of His love and kindness towards us. Praying for wisdom and asking God to show us all the things He does for us is wise. Doing this you will see how you can perceive the love and kindness shown towards us by Him, then we will stand in awe of all the goodness, grace, and mercy of the Lord, He gives to us daily.

Sing his praises and tell everyone about his miracles. Glory in the Lord; O worshipers of God, rejoice. Search for him and for his strength, and keep on searching!
(Psalm 105:2-4 NLT)

In that wonderful day you will say, “Thank the Lord! Praise his name! Tell the world about his wondrous love.[*] How mighty he is!” Sing to the Lord, for he has done wonderful things. Make known his praise around the world. (Isaiah 12:4-5 TLB)

New Blog Post – ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Godly Nature’

Those who let themselves be controlled by their lower natures live only to please themselves, but those who follow after the Holy Spirit find themselves doing those things that please God. (Romans 8:5 TLB)

We must allow God to control our natures. If we surrender and follow the Holy Spirit of God, He helps us to keep in the perfect will of God. If we do not include the Holy Spirit of God in our lives, we can find ourselves beginning to struggle. Yes, there will be times we may get anxious, worried, troubled, but having the Holy Spirit of God; as our Helper, Teacher, and Comforter, we find He helps us to stay in the will of God and He enables us to live our lives in peace. If we lose our peace, it could be that sin has crept into our hearts once again, and we will find if we pray and seek God and ask Him to show us the error of our ways, He will bring to light any sin that needs to be confessed in our hearts. Searching for God through prayer, is essential. He brings into the light, what is necessary and needed for us to live a holy and godly life. We must not try to work things out in our own strength. Jesus already knows all the answers we will ever need. Choosing to trust Jesus in faith is the best decision we can make. Jesus is our best friend. Knowing He is constantly beside us gives us courage and strength to overcome whatever life throws at us. Be fully committed into following Jesus, putting into action our faith this is what God wants us to do.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in Me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.(Philippians 4:6,9 NKJV)

New Blog Post – ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Crucified with Christ‘

Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin. (Romans 6:6 NKJV)

Before we came to Christ, sin had a chokehold on our lives, and we could do nothing but to serve it as it’s obedience slaves. It took the Lord Jesus Christ, to remove our sin when He took the Cross at Calvary, He paid our sin debt in full. When we acknowledged Jesus as Saviour and Lord, and accepted Him into our hearts and lives this is when our life in Him truly begins. We have become a part of Him, and so we died with Him, so to speak, when He died; and now we share His new life and shall rise as He did. Our old evil desires were nailed to the cross with Him; that part of us that loved to sin was crushed and fatally wounded, so that our sin-loving body is no longer under sin’s control, no longer needs to be a slave to sin; for when we are deadened to sin we are freed from all its allure and its power over us. And since our old sin-loving nature “died” with Christ, we know that we will share His new life. Christ rose from the dead and will never die again. Death no longer has any power over Him. He died once and for all to end sin’s power, but now He lives forever in unbroken fellowship with God. So look upon your old sin nature as dead and unresponsive to sin, and instead alive to God, alert to Him, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Do not let sin control your puny body any longer; do not give in to its sinful desires. Do not let any part of your bodies become tools of wickedness, to used for sinning; but give yourselves completely to God – every part of you – for you are back from death and you want to be tools in the hands of God, to be used for His good purposes.

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8 NKJV)

New Blog Post – ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘God’s Riches‘

Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgements and His ways past finding out! (Romans 11:33 NKJV)

We can never completely grasp and understand God’s ways or why He does what He does, but we can worship Him for the goodness and love and mercy that He has already shown us! When I placed my love, trust, and faith in God, He took the veil away from my eyes so that I was able to see Him through my spiritual eyes, and listen to Him with my spiritual ears.
We should approach the throne of God through prayer, and be confident to know God is listening to us. He will answer our prayers when we are consistent in prayer.  God’s Word, shows us God’s personality, character, and nature. We can see how godly men/women before us handle their situation’s and circumstances. They continually focused upon God at all times. We must do the same. We are so blessed we have Jesus Christ living and abiding in us, and the Helper, the Holy Spirit of God, who teaches us the truth. Yes, we will make mistakes at times, but it is good to know that when we admit our mistakes, God forgives us and helps us and He is the only One who can put things right.

Oh, what a wonderful God we have! How great are his wisdom and knowledge and riches! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his methods!  For who among us can know the mind of the Lord? Who knows enough to be his counsellor and guide? And who could ever offer to the Lord enough to induce him to act? For everything comes from God alone. Everything lives by his power, and everything is for his glory. To him be glory evermore. (Romans 11:33-36 TLB)

New Blog Post – ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Faithful to God‘

And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry. (1 Timothy 1:12 NKJ)

God has given me the strength and courage to enable me to listen to Him, He has caused me to be faithful. He has chosen me as one of His messengers, to reach out to His people in bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to them. I know first-hand what God has done for me He could do for others. Sharing my story is what I believed God wanted me to do. This particular morning I was beginning a new job. God called me to be cautious. He told me the enemy would trip me up, but He would be their to catch me. His words came true. My ankle gave way and I began to fall. It happened so quickly, but remembering what God had said, “I shouted out in the name of Jesus’”,  Satan I come against you. An ambulance was called and the paramedics treated me. At the hospital I was told I had a serious knee injury. I was unable to do the job I was going to do and had to give in my resignation. God did take care of me, even though I had to go through this trial; but He helped me to cope with the leg injury. I believed God would bring good out of my situation reaching out to others through me. Although I was on crutches for eight years, God helped me to cope with my disability. I drew closer to God in those years, He was teaching me how to pray for others. I learnt the Word of God, and prayed God’s Word over the people He wanted me to pray for. I began to understand how powerful prayer was and is, my relationship with God became deeper and richer as I saw my prayers being answered.

Oh, how kind our Lord was, for he showed me how to trust him and become full of the love of Christ Jesus. (1 Timothy 1:14 TLB)

New Blog Post – ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Weapons of Warfare‘

I use God’s mighty weapons, not those made by men, to knock down the devil’s strongholds. These weapons can break down every proud argument against God and every wall that can be built to keep men from finding him.
(2 Corinthians 10:4 TLB)

When we have strong faith, God enables us to use our faith with supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. God has been training me for many years to use faith and His Word to fight the good fight with weapons of warfare. I truly believe when I pray that in accordance to God’s will, He hears my prayers for the heart and core of His people and He will act when it is in alignment to His will. Everything with God has a timing and a place. He works behind the scenes and gets His people ready, to prove His plans for their lives. He builds their faith, trust, confidence, for He wants them to get closer to Him and trust Him to bring the right outcome for their lives. He never get things wrong. He works all things out right when we trust Him. His plans will always out weigh our plans. His plans work out for our good. He allows situations and circumstances to happen in our lives because it will teach us to reach out to Him to resolve the problems we may have. When things become tough remember who is the One who is in control of our lives. He is in all things and He will never allow anything to hurt or harm us. If we remember who is in control then no matter what we may have to face, God will deliver us through when He is ready. He sustains us in His peace and joy and this represents to others we are living out our faith in the Lord.

And we are sure of this, that he will listen to us whenever we ask him for anything in line with his will. And if we really know he is listening when we talk to him and make our requests, then we can be sure that he will answer us. (1 John 5:14-15 TLB)

New Blog Post – ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Delivered‘

“Is this the one who rolled his burden on the Lord?” they laugh. “Is this the one who claims the Lord delights in him? We’ll believe it when we see God rescue him!” (Psalm 22:8)

God came and rescued me when I confessed my sins before Him, and cast all my burdens upon the Lord. I believed in Jesus Christ my precious Lord, and now I was in a personal relationship with Him, I did this through connecting to Him in prayer. I am not empty vessel any longer, God has filled me with His joy and gladness; and I advertise to the world His goodness and mercy. He has made me secure in Jesus Christ, and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. He is the only One who can satisfy my needs. My deficits are no match for His abundance, and my cries find a home in His ears. I have put my love, faith, trust, confidence, in God. My relationship with Him is growing steadily. He has grafted me into the ‘Vine of God’ and I am abiding in Him. Jesus Christ, has changed my life radically; and I can never give Him enough thanksgiving, praise, worship, adoration, and love for everything He has done for me. He has delivered me from the darkness of this world, and adopted me as His child into the kingdom of light; where I now live with Him.

When he calls on me, I will answer; I will be with him in trouble and rescue him and honor him. I will satisfy him with a full life[*] and give him my salvation.” (Psalm 91:15-16 TLB)

New Blog Post – ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Filled with Joy‘

When I pray for you, my heart is full of joy because of all your wonderful help in making known the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now.
(Philippians 1:4 TLB)

I attended church for many years, but no one within the church had asked me, ‘Did I believe in Jesus Christ?’ I went into hospital for a major operation, it was there I met a teacher. I was drawn towards her. She had come from another ward into my ward after her operation. I could see she was in difficulty, and so I felt prompted to go and help her. We became friends. Spending time together our friendship began to grow. One day she challenged me. Did I believe that I was a sinner and Jesus Christ died on the Cross for me. My response to her question was: ‘Yes I Do’. From the moment I said ‘Yes’ to her question, I felt something had changed within me. Early in the morning, I felt myself confessing my sins to God, asking Him to forgive me everything I had done that was contrary to His will. It was then I heard a small still voice say to me, “Avril, everything that had been wrong in your life; I the Lord thy God will put everything right.” God had forgiven me. My friend and I talked things through. We both realised God had planned our operations and wanted us to be in the hospital at the same time. Three times her operation had been cancelled and three times my operation had been cancelled. We could see God had planned everything. She showed me God has always been in control of every detail of my life. God had made all things possible for me, He gave me the choice to believe He was the Son of God, and when I acknowledged Him; He filled me with the supernatural power of  the Holy Spirit of God and I became a Christian.

When I pray for you, my heart is full of joy because of all your wonderful help in making known the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now. And I am sure that God who began the good work within you will keep right on helping you grow in his grace until his task within you is finally finished on that day when Jesus Christ returns. (Philippians 1:4-6 TLB)

We’ll believe it when we see God rescue him!” Lord, how you have helped me before![*] You took me safely from my mother’s womb and brought me through the years of infancy. (Psalm 22:8-11 TLB)

New Blog Post – ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘God’s Peace‘

Then I lay down and slept in peace and woke up safely, for the Lord was watching over me. (Psalm 3:5 TLB)

God is the only One who can give us peace, rest and safety. As we trust and put our faith in Him, He will watch over us daily. Being busy all the time takes us away from God. BUSY, means: ‘Being Under Satan’s Yoke.’ This is what Satan wants, he wants us to be BUSY because it takes our focus off God. I knew God was showing me He wanted me to rest in Him. He wanted me to rest in His Spirit, and be attentive to His Spirit. He wanted me to practise sitting in His presence throughout the day, and I had already decided I would obey Him. Satan was trying to deter me from doing this as he wanted me to come away from God, he did not want me to meditate on God’s Word nor did he want me to worship or praise God. God wanted to strengthen me and draw me closer to Himself and I wanted this too. Sometimes we get distracted from walking along the path God has for us. We must have faith, persistence, and self-discipline to enable us to do what God wants us to do for our lives. This is learnt through the Holy Spirit of God. He gives us His blessings and strength to walk in the ways of God and not in the ways of man. We must be led by God through Jesus Christ, listening to the Holy Spirit at all times; taking steps as He leads us through each moment of the day. So, let your hearts and minds rest on Christ, through needful prayer and worship, and be sensitised to His voice; understanding what He will require from us.

And the Lord replied, “I myself will go with you and give you success.” (Exodus 33:14 TLB)

Always be joyful. Always keep on praying.  No matter what happens, always be thankful, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 TLB)

I will praise the Lord no matter what happens. I will constantly speak of his glories and grace. (Psalm 34:1 TLB)

New Blog Post – ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Word of Wisdom’

The Lord God has given me his words of wisdom so that I may know what I should say to all these weary ones. Morning by morning he wakens me and opens my understanding to his will. (Isaiah 50:4 TLB)

God has given me the ability to comfort others in their times of need. I can sympathise with others, having experienced some of the things they may be going through. It is putting my experiences into practise, what God had done for me; He also could do for them. Being prayerful, is a necessity, it is the key for us to be able to reach out to others with God’s Spirit. He guides and leads us in each situation and we must call upon His name for His help to help them. God had shown me He wanted me to work with women’s problems. I intended to be obedient to His calling. God was with me and He equipped and empowered me with Godly wisdom. I could not do anything in my own will and strength. I knew I was totally dependant upon God through my faith and praying for them daily. God was the only One who would bring them through. Trusting God through His Spirit in the name of Jesus, Christ, He enables me to speak the right words to help His people.

Lord, open my ears to hear Your message of hope and speak it to someone in need.

But not everyone who hears the Good News has welcomed it, for Isaiah the prophet said, “Lord, who has believed me when I told them?”[*] Yet faith comes from listening to this Good News—the Good News about Christ. (Romans 10:16-17 TLB)

And we are sure of this, that he will listen to us whenever we ask him for anything in line with his will. And if we really know he is listening when we talk to him and make our requests, then we can be sure that he will answer us. (1 John 5:14-15 TLB)

New Blog Post – ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Trust Christ‘

And now just as you trusted Christ to save you, trust him, too, for each day’s problems; live in vital union with him. Let your roots grow down into him and draw up nourishment from him. See that you go on growing in the Lord, and become strong and vigorous in the truth you were taught. Let your lives overflow with joy and thanksgiving for all he has done. (Colossians 2:6-7 TLB)

I trusted Jesus Christ to save me, and I trusted Him to give me the faith to believe He will grow me up in faith. These things do not happen overnight, bit by bit my trust seemed to grow through the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. Each day I face problems, trials, tribulations, this turns my attention to God. I remember the time I’d had a Mammogram and within a few days after having the procedure, a letter came from the hospital, the  Radiographer wanted to discuss my procedure I’d had done. My first reaction was to seek God. I ask God outright. Have I got cancer? I asked Him to give me a clear ‘Yes or No’, as the Bible states. The answer came back ‘Yes’! This brought me deep into prayer. God was preparing me before I had my appointment at the hospital. I put my trust completely in God. I saw the Radiologist. He told me outright they had found cancer. God’s Words came true. They did a Biopsy straight away, I was being referred to see an Oncologist. He discussed with me the operation and the treatment that would follow. I am pleased to say, ‘God delivered me from the Cancer.’ God has been such a loving and faithful God to me. I can never thank Jesus enough for all His grace, mercy, strength and power He has given to me the faith to believe I would overcome this disease. I am clear of cancer and in my eighth year of freedom.

I will give you back your health again and heal your wounds. Now you are called “The Outcast” and “Jerusalem, the Place Nobody Wants.”  But, says the Lord, when I bring you home again from your captivity and restore your fortunes, Jerusalem will be rebuilt upon her ruins; the palace will be reconstructed as it was before. The cities will be filled with joy and great thanksgiving, and I will multiply my people and make of them a great and honored nation. (Jeremiah 30:17-19 TLB)

New Blog Post – ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘God’s Teachings‘

My son, never forget the things I’ve taught you. If you want a long and satisfying life, closely follow my instructions. Never tire of loyalty and kindness. Hold these virtues tightly. Write them deep within your heart. If you want favor with both God and man, and a reputation for good judgment and common sense, then trust the Lord completely; don’t ever trust yourself. (Proverbs 3:1-5 TLB)

Jesus, has taught me through the Holy Spirit of God; that I should never forget His teachings. I wanted to learn everything I could from Him and more than anything else I wanted to obey His instructions. I never wanted to go back into my old way of life. My relationship with Jesus Christ is very important to me. Before I open my Bible and daily readings I pray for wisdom, discernment, and understanding and ask the Holy Spirit of God to open my ears to hear what He wants me to hear, and open my eyes to see what He wants me to see. I pray He will enlighten the path He wants me to walk on. God’s Word has enriched my life and my faith is growing deeper in Jesus Christ. I am so thankful and grateful to God for the new life He has given to me through His precious Son Jesus Christ my Lord. I trust Him completely.

                                                        Prayer

All these new things are from God who brought us back to himself through what Christ Jesus did. And God has given us the privilege of urging everyone to come into his favor and be reconciled to him. (2 Corinthians 5:18 TLB)
May the Lord of peace himself give you his peace no matter what happens. The Lord be with you all. (2 Thessalonians 3:16 TLB)

New Blog Post – ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Sanctified in Christ’

“‘ Then it will be as though I had sprinkled clean water on you, for you will be clean—your filthiness will be washed away, your idol worship gone. And I will give you a new heart—I will give you new and right desires—and put a new spirit within you. I will take out your stony hearts of sin and give you new hearts of love.[*] And I will put my Spirit within you so that you will obey my laws and do whatever I command.” (Ezekiel 36:25-27 TLB)

God has cleansed, sanctified, and purified my heart from all my sin. He has given me a new clean heart through Jesus Christ. When I was in the world I had all the wrong desires which was contrary to what God wanted from me. It was when I confessed my sin before God and  acknowledged Jesus Christ as my Saviour and Lord; I knew I had my own personal divine  encounter with God. God spoke straight into my heart, ‘Avril everything that has been wrong in your life, I the Lord Your God shall put everything right.’ How my heart was filled with joy when I heard those words to me. At the time I never realised how wrong my life had been. God is doing a remarkable work in my life. Daily, I ask God to keep me on a righteous path of holiness, godliness, and righteousness keeping me close to Jesus Christ. I never want to walk in the darkness ever again. God has set me free and I praise and thank Him with all of my heart, mind, body, spirit, and soul in the name of Jesus Christ.

                                                               Prayer

And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts, living within you as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvellous love; and may you be able to feel and understand, as all God’s children should, how long, how wide, how deep, and how high his love really is; and to experience this love for yourselves, though it is so great that you will never see the end of it or fully know or understand it. And so at last you will be filled up with God himself. (Ephesians 3:17-19 TLB)
