‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Is Working

1 Peter 1:2 TLB Dear friends, God the Father chose you long ago and knew you would become his children. And the Holy Spirit has been at work in your hearts, cleansing you with the blood of Jesus Christ and making you to please him. May God bless you richly and grant you increasing freedom from all anxiety and fear.

It is good to know that God the Father chose me long ago and He knew I would become His chid. The Holy Spirit of God, has been at work within my heart, even before I knew and accepted Him as Lord and Saviour of my soul. He has been cleansing me with the precious blood of Jesus Christ, making me ready to please Him. 
I know about these things because God has sent His Spirit to tell me, and His Spirit searches out and shows me all of God’s deepest secrets. God has actually given me His Spirit (not the world’s spirit), to tell me about the wonderful free gifts of grace and blessing that God has given to me. Knowing the truth about my Father, and the knowledge I now have through His Spirit about Him, I can understand the Father, the Son of God, and the Holy Spirit of God have made their home within my heart, mind, body, spirit, soul. I am so happy now more than I can ever say, having a relationship with Jesus Christ, is the most important decision I could have made. 

Prayer 

Heavenly Father, thank You for accepting me as Your child. I love and adore You, in the name of Jesus Christ . I am so grateful and thankful for everything You are teaching me through the Holy Spirit of God. I desire Your plans, dreams, and visions You have purposed for my life, and may I honour, praise and gloryify You through my testimony and witness that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I glorify, magnify, and exalt You now and forever more. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Truth

2 Timothy 3:10-11 NLT But you, Timothy, certainly know what I teach, and how I live, and what my purpose in life is. You know my faith, my patience, my love, and my endurance.  You know how much persecution and suffering I have endured.

I can honestly say, from the moment I gave my life to the Lord Jesus Christ, my life has changed radically. I knew without a shadow of a doubt I had met with my Saviour and Lord but it had taken me forty years to find the truth.
He has taught me everything, who I am today is because of the Holy Spirit of God’s teachings. How I live, and what my purpose in life is and through prayer and reading God’s Word, I draw closer and nearer to Him daily. He knows my faith, my patience, my love, and my endurance. He knows how much persecution and suffering I have endured. Yes, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. 
Through all the trials and tribulations I have been through, I have remained faithful to the things I have been taught. I know they are true, I know I can trust Him who has taught me. I had been taught the holy Scriptures and through the years I have been given wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God, and is useful to teach me what is true and make me realise what had been wrong in my life. It corrects me when I am wrong and teaches me to do what is right. God is using me through His teachings and is preparing me and equipping me to reach out to His people to do the work He has called me to do. 

Prayer

Gracious and loving God, how grateful and thankful I am to You for saving and redeeming me from my evil ways. I praise and thank You for the truth of Your teachings. Your teaching has helped me to grow in confidence. My faith and trust is built upon the Rock and Foundation of the Lord Jesus Christ. 
I ask today, that You would fill me and anoint me in the supernatural power of Your Spirit; that He would empower and enabled me to help Your people. I commit and commend this prayer to You, with praise, adoration, and love in the precious name of Jesus Christ my precious Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Commit to the Lord


Psalm 37:4-5 TLB Be delighted with the Lord. Then He will give you all your heart’s desires.  Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust Him to help you do it, and He will. 


Reading the Word of God teaches us how to understand the Scriptures by praying to God and also listening in our hearts to what God says. Our joy is constantly in Him. Our expectations, dreams, plans, and ambitions are in Him. No longer do we want to do anything in our strength or will. What we should want more than anything is to be in the centre of what God has willed. After all, God has a plan for each person’s life so we should not doubt Him. We must commit our will and ways to God in the Name of Jesus Christ daily.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I delight in You. I thank You for Your precious Son Jesus Christ, who You sent to live within me. I praise and thank You for Your Holy Spirit, who guides and leads me in the truth of Your Word. I commit and commend my life into Your precious hands, and I do expect You to work out Your divine purpose and plans You have ordained for my life. My great expectations, dreams, plans, and ambitions are in You. No longer do I want to anything in my strength of will. I desire to be in the centre of Your will and surrender completely to Your perfect will in the precious name of Jesus Christ my precious Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me In God’s Word’ – Perfect Peace

Isaiah 26:3-4 TLB He will keep in perfect peace all those who trust in him, whose thoughts turn often to the Lord! Trust in the Lord God always, for in the Lord Jehovah is your everlasting strength.

We must consistently go to God, and seek His face through prayer. He will bring us to place where we have no need to be anxious or troubled any longer. We must continually trust Jesus, to deliver us through the trials we face. He is the only One who can keep us in perfect peace. We must turn our thoughts towards the Lord. Trusting, in the Lord at all times is a hard thing to do, especially when our human bodies want to try and help Him work things out. What we must remember Jesus, already knows the outcome of each predicament we may have, so it is best to take our hands off all things and take His yoke and mantle upon ourselves and cast all our burdens upon Him as He suggests in: (Matthew 11:28-30 TLB). 
If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus.

Prayer

Jesus, You have said: “Come to Me and I will give you rest – all of you wo work so hard beneath a heavy yoke. Wear My yoke – for it fits perfectly – and let Me teach you; for I am gentle and humble, and you shall find rest for your souls; for I give you only light burdens.”
(Matthew 11:28-30TLB) 
Jesus, I cast all my cares and burdens upon You. I take my hands off all things great and small. I ask You to work out Your perfect plans for me. I will trust You to do whatever You have planned to do for my life, and I will not be anxious or troubled any longer. You will keep me in perfect peace because I put my faith and trust in You. I turn all my thoughts towards You and have confident faith to believe what You have said You will do for the honour, glory of Your name. Amen

“Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Trust God

Proverbs 3:1-6 TLB My son, never forget the things I’ve taught you. If you want a long and satisfying life, closely follow my instructions. Never tire of loyalty and kindness. Hold these virtues tightly. Write them deep within your heart.  If you want favor with both God and man, and a reputation for good judgment and common sense, then trust the Lord completely; don’t ever trust yourself.  In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success.

Trusting in God is the backbone of our faith. We must acknowledge God in everything we do. We must not lean upon our worldly understanding but depend upon God to give us the understanding we need from Him to walk with Him. He teaches us that we no longer need to carry any burden or heavy loads. Jesus wants to carry them for us if we will let Him. We must allow Him to do what is best for us. He helps us to make the right choices and decisions. We must never omit any God-given ability for any reason. Jesus wants us to trust in His ideas and be counselled by Him. We must bring everything to Him in prayer. He will unfold the plans He has for us and bring us to the place where we will understand at His appointed time.

Prayer

Jesus, I trust You with all my heart, mind, body, spirit, and soul. You have always been loyal and true to me, and have never let me down. I praise and thank You that I can always rely and depend upon You to guide and lead me into Your perfect will forever more. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Anointed in the Holy Spirit

Acts 2:4 TLB And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in languages they didn’t know,[a] for the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.

God told His people to wait until the Holy Spirit came and anointed them with His love, fire, and power. He is the One who helps us live our lives for Jesus Christ. He ignites the flame and causes the fire of God’s Word to burn brightly within our hearts. He anoints us with His spiritual gifts and expects us to use those spiritual gifts for His glory, kingdom, and name. He enables His people to speak in different languages through the Holy Spirit of God. This is called the tongues of God. We can use this gift of tongues in prayer, praise, and worship.

 Prayer 

Heavenly Father, I obeyed You and I waited for the Holy  Spirit of God to anoint me with His supernatural power, love, and fire. Now, He has changed my life and He enables and empowers me to live my life for Jesus Christ. How grateful and thankful I am to Him who ignites the flame of God within me, His Word burns brightly within my heart. I am His vessel and He uses me for His glory, to spread the Good News of Christ Jesus, to the world for His glory, kingdom, and name. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Filled in God’s Spirit

Acts 9:17 TLB So Ananias went over and found Paul and laid his hands on him and said, “Brother Paul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road, has sent me so that you may be filled with the Holy Spirit and get your sight back.”

Day by day God will teach us to do things in His will and in His ways. He is the One who teaches us how to depend upon Him and not on ourselves. Our growth is gradual, but the reading of Scriptures enlightens our knowledge and changes our mind-set to that of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit teaches how we are to apply the Word of God to our lives and how to make things personal to us. He gives us His wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to help us understand what He wants us to do and know. Acknowledging our faith and relationship with Christ needs to go deeper. We must ask for His blessings to come upon us. We must commit our will and ways to Him in the authority of the Spirit of God and never depend upon our flesh again.

Prayer

Father, I ask You to fill my body full in Your supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God, in the name of Jesus Christ. I submit and surrender to God, completely in the name of Jesus. There is no question of me being disobedient to You, I acknowledge to You, I do need to go deeper in my faith and relationship with Jesus Christ. You have spoken Your Word to me in: 
Psalm 32:8 TLB, “I will instruct you (says, the Lord), and guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will  advice you and watch your progress.”
May You increase my faith, and strengthen me in my body enabling, empowering and equipping me to do Your will in Jesus Christ name. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Trust Jesus

Colossians 2:6-7 TLB And now just as you trusted Christ to save you, trust Him, too, for each day’s problems; live in vital union with Him. Let your roots grow down into Him and draw up nourishment from Him. See that you go on growing in the Lord, and become strong and vigorous in the truth you were taught. Let your lives overflow with joy and thanksgiving for all He has done.

The Holy Spirit teaches us everything we know: how to pray, how to read His Word, and how to understand what His Word means to us. As long as our eyes are focused upon God and not on our situations then we have no need to be anxious about anything. He is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent in our lives. We must continue to focus upon His perspectives trusting in His power.

Prayer 

Holy Spirit, I ask You to think through me, live through me, love through me. May my roots grow down deep into Jesus Christ, and help me to remember to draw from His amazing grace, courage, strength, and nourishment to feed my spirit, soul, and heart. Fill me full with Your supernatural power of Your Spirit, from the top of my head to the tips of my toes; to help me to cope daily with the problems I face. I ask this prayer in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God Purifies Us

2 Corinthians 7:1 TLB Having such great promises as these, dear friends, let us turn away from everything wrong, whether of body or spirit, and purify ourselves, living in the wholesome fear of God, giving ourselves to him alone.

God purifies us through the supernatural power of His Spirit. We must freely give ourselves totally to God and do things in His will and ways. Learning that by trying to do good thing in our own strength just does not work. God’s Spirit will grant us the success He desires us to have. We have to stop struggling and depend upon God. The more we learn to do things in God’s will, ways, and in His grace then things will go well for us. We must ask for His grace and favour daily and have the desire to be close to Him.

Prayer 

Heavenly Father, I ask You to fill me today, with Your grace and favour and keep me close to You. I take on Your promisea,, and turn away from everything that is wrong, whether of body, or spirit, and purifying myself, living in the wholesome fear of God, giving myself completely to Him in the precious and holy name of Jesus. 
I thank You for purifying me through the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. I shall do things in the way God instructs me to. He will guide me along the best pathway for my life. He will advise me and watch my progress. This is all I nead to remember:  If God is for me, who can ever be against me in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord. I commit this prayer into His hands and leave all my prayers in His tender care. Amen

Entrust your loved ones to Me. Release them into My protective care. They are much safer with Me than in your clinging hands. 

Dear Jesus, I think I sometimes confuse loving others with rescuing them. When a loved one has a problem, I often feel responsible to come up with a solution. I plunge headlong into problem-solving mode, as if I’m obligated to provide sound advice. Please help me stop feeling responsible to fix people, since that is Your role—not mine. 

Beloved, it is indeed My prerogative to bring about change in people’s lives, as I choose to do so. You can be part of the process, but remember that I am the Author and Director of the drama: You need to follow My script, rather than creating your own. Do not usurp My role in people’s lives, no matter how much you long to help them. When you feel compelled to rescue a loved one, take a good look at the quality of your love. Learn from Me, because I have all authority in heaven and on earth: I could rescue or control anyone at will. Yet I intentionally created people with the capacity to choose good or evil. I wanted them to be free to love Me—or not. Love that has no choice is not real! Subordinate your deficient, controlling love to My perfect, empowering Love. Prayerfully release your loved ones to Me. Restrain your urges to solve their problems. Instead, use your time and energy to listen to them and pray for them. Trust in My Love and My unsearchable wisdom. I can work changes in your loved ones’ lives: beyond anything you might ask or imagine. As you release these precious ones to Me, linger a while in My unfailing Love—for them and also for you.

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” Matthew 28:18 

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. Ephesians 3:20–21 

Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul. Psalm 143:8

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God is Great

Psalm 147:5-6 TLB How great he is! His power is absolute! His understanding is unlimited. The Lord supports the humble, but brings the wicked into the dust.

The day we believed and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ we begin to understand who we are in Him. We must not accept the negativity from man/women about ourselves, which is untrue. First, we have to admit to God we have allowed such feelings and emotions to affect our relationship with Him by limiting what He has given us. Even when family and friends doubt the plans and actions God may have scheduled for our lives, we still must obey God, and we will be blessed by doing so. God will show us through His Spirit how we should deal with the Devil and his evil demonic forces, which control our mind-set. He empowers us through His supernatural power and teaches us to bind the Devil’s works, which rise up against us. Praying is the only way to deal with the trials we face. Matthew 18:18, tells us how to overcome the demonic forces by binding the strong man then dealing with him in Jesus Christ’s name and blood. We should allow nothing to cause us to doubt God’s Word or promises. Jesus is the One who set us free through His Cross and the truth of His Word. He will do the same for us all.

Prayer

Father God, You are great! Your power is absolute! Your understanding is unlimited. You support the humble in heart, and You bring the wicked to the dust. How grateful and thankful we are for Your Holy Presence, Your precious Son Jesus Christ, who dwells and lives in us. We are thankful He shows us through prayer, how to deal with our enemies, and through the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit He has won the victory for us in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Waiting on God

Psalm 130:5–6 NIV I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in His word I put my hope. My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning. 

When the Lord asks me to wait on Him, sometimes this is a hard thing for me to do. He encourages me when I am waiting for Him to act. He asks me to put my trust, confidence, faith, and hope in Him. I have done this many times and not once has God ever let me down, I hold onto the the promises He has made with me. He strengthens my faith as I read and meditate on His Word. This is where my faith is strengthened and increased. The more you read the Bible, the more truth of the Bible comes alive within your heart.
I ask the Holy Spirit of God to enrich and enlighten my heart, enabling me to see all things through God’s eyes and His perspective. He is in complete control of every situation I have in my life. I am connected with Jesus, at a deep level and I can always find Him in the midst of my activities. He constantly enlightens and enriches me and increases me in my faith to completely trust in Him. The more I include Him  in my activities, the more I am aware of His presence being in the centre of my life. My days become brighter, my routines become lighter and they sparkle with the liveliness of His company.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You that You enable me to wait for You to act in Your presence. I praise and thank You for the Helper the Holy Spirit of God. He has taught me how to wait for Your plan to come to fruition, in the precious name of Jesus Christ so, I have no need to be anxious or troubled how things will work out. You have everything worked out in accordance to Your great plans for my life in Christ. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Trusting God

Proverbs 3:5–6 AMP Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths. 

The Holy Spirit, helps me to trust in God in faith. He helps me to have trusting thoughts as He controls my mind. All He wants from me is my full cooperation. He shows me how I must rely upon Him and not lean on my own understanding. I have no need to be in control of my life any longer. God has shown me He has always been in control of my life before I was born to the earth. He has a great plan for me and He is constantly showing me what that plan is. I follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit of God in faith, knowing in faith He is in control of everything I do. If I wander away from the path He wants me to walk on, He gently brings me back again and puts me back onto the right path He has ordained and planned for me. 
Prayer, has been the greatest asset to me. I have learned how to pray, wait for God to act, have the patience to wait on God; and most importantly; I expect Him in confident faith to answer my prayers at His appointed time. 
Yes, at times I have found it hard to do this, but as I see the answer to prayer come, my confidence and faith has been built upon the Rock and Foundation of Jesus Christ. I dedicate and I commit and commend my life to Him forever and always.

Prayer 

Lord Jesus, I lean on, trust in, and I am confident in You Lord with all of my heart and mind and I do not rely upon my own insight or understanding. In all my ways I know, recognize, and acknowledge You, and You will direct me and make straight my paths.
I thank You for the help You have given to me through the Holy Spirit of God, who helps me to think thoughts that are trusting. I know He needs my cooperation, so I willingly give it to Him.  I will stop trying to rely upon my own understanding which helps me to feel in control, now I ask Your Holy Spirit, to control my mind completely. I look to You – trusting You in faith as I pray to You and acknowledge I need You every step and breath I take in the precious name of Jesus Christ. I commit my will and ways to the Lord, and I trust Him in all things great and small. I know He shall bring all my petition in prayer to pass at His appointed time. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – The Path of Life


ACTS 2:28 You have made known to me the paths of life; You will fill me with joy in Your presence. 

God shows His Word is within our hearts. He anoints our mouths and lips to do His speaking. We must obey when He asks us to speak to His people. There is no question of being disobedient. We should always be completely obedient to Him and be under His control. He prompts us to speak or when to be quiet through the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. God guides and leads us to His people as He knows each and every person by name.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, You are showing me the path for my life; You fill me with joy in Your presence I am thankful and grateful to You for this. I lean on, trust in and I am confident in You, Lord; with all of my heart and mind and I do not rely upon my own insight or understanding. You, Lord are my defence, my God my Rock and my Refuge. Whatever my circumstances may be, You can tell me something about myself as I lean upon Thee. 
I know You have a special plan for my life, which only You can fulfill it. You have set me on the path to achieving Your goals for my life. I recongnise my worth daily as I follow You always in Jesus Christ my precious Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Plans are Perfect

Jeremiah 29:11 TLB For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

We need to arrive at the place in our relationship with God to realize that He provides hope which no one can destroy. He is the Leader, and He is the One who stirs our heart and encourages us to move forward with Him. God makes His own plans for each individual. Sometimes, we may have to risk our faith and trust to crossover the “Red Sea”. By us completely putting our trust in Him, God may deliver us after we complete our walk through the “Red Sea”. God supported us after He parted the sea. Yes, in God’s eyes there are no losers only lives being changed for His glory. God has the cure for our inferiorities. It is the staff of His righteousness, which continues to heal. We need to grasp what God does for us and go forward with Him. In Christ we can meet each challenge. We no longer need to worry regarding our future, because God has every detail in His plan mapped out for us.

Prayer

Father, You have a plan for my life which no one can destroy. You have given me the hope to place my trust completely in You, in the name of Jesus Christ. You will guide and lead me through the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God, and I will arrive at my destination at Your appointed time. I move forward with You. I trust You will lead me into the promised land, the promise You made with my ancestors. I love You Lord, with all my heart, mind, body, soul, and spirit and know You will never let me down. I commit this prayer into Your hands in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – The Fullness of Christ

Ephesians 3:19 AMP That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]! 

We must continually ask God to fill us completely with His fullness, so we have the richest measure of the divine Presence: becoming a body wholly filled and flooded with Jesus Christ and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. We can experience His love in the full measure of Christ. 
Going through trials, we experience the love and faithfulness of Jesus Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge and understanding. He delivers us through the trials and at the same time increases our faith to grow in Him. Trials, help us to trust Him more although at times we may not realise this. We must remember always, that God is with us, and He holds us with His right hand. He guides us with His counsel, and afterwards He will take us into glory. What a wonderful revelation this is to know one day we shall be with our precious God again, something we can truly look forward too.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, how grateful and thankful we are to You; for everything You give to us through Your precious Son Jesus Christ. Thank You for filling us completely with the fullness of Christ, giving us the richest measure of His divine Presence. We praise and bless You for the Holy Spirit of God, who helps us determine Your purpose and Your will for our lives enabling and empowering us to walk a godly, holy, and righteous life for the glory of Jesus Christ. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Jesus, Anchor’s My Soul

Psalm 32:7-8 TLB You are my hiding place from every storm of life; you even keep me from getting into trouble! You surround me with songs of victory. I will instruct you (says the Lord) and guide you along the best pathway for your life; I will advise you and watch your progress.

When I find myself being troubled, I go straight to God, and search for Him with all of my heart. I know He is the only One who can help me with my restless heart. When I focus on my troubles they seem to be out of control. I remember God’s teachings to me, and ask the Holy Spirit of God, for the help I need. I ask Him to carry my burdens for me as I cast them upon Him. I am grateful and thankful to God, He gives me courage to carry on in Jesus Christ, precious name. 

Prayer

Jesus, I have fled to You for refuge and can have great confidence as I hold onto the the hope that lies before me. This hope is strong and trustworthy anchor for my soul. It leads me through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary. 
I come into Your sanctuary. You are my hiding place from every storm of my life; You even keep me from getting into trouble! You surround me with songs of victory. You will instruct me and You will guide me along the best pathway for my life; You will advise me and watch my progress. 
I will trust You to lead me step by step through each day. You will provide sufficient Light for me one day at a time, so that I do not run ahead of You; but I wait upon You almighty God to get me to the place You want me to be at Your appointed time. My future is in Your hands, and I trust You to work it all out in accordance to the plans for my life, in Jesus name I come. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God Influences my Decisions

Romans 8:26 TLB And in the same way—by our faith[a]—the Holy Spirit helps us with our daily problems and in our praying. For we don’t even know what we should pray for nor how to pray as we should, but the Holy Spirit prays for us with such feeling that it cannot be expressed in words.

God is the One to influence the decisions we make. We must want to know what His will is for us. We should have the desire to be convicted of sin through His Spirit and the Word of God. We should not want sin to rule in our hearts. We must want to do good as Jesus has taught us. He is our confidence and strength, and He will keep our feet from being snared by our enemies. He does not withhold any good thing from us if He feels that we may deserve it. He has the power to act. We must have the desire to have our faith increased and to see for ourselves the God of the Bible still acts as He did thousands of years ago. It should not matter what people may think about us. What should matter is what God thinks of us. Having confidence in God’s Scriptures helps us to be calm and quiet when facing trials and difficulties. He never lets us down as we trust in the godly influence He makes upon our lives.

Prayer

Jesus, my faith and confidence is in You. I thank You for sending the Holy Spirit of God to me, He enables and empowers me to pray in accordance to the will of God. I praise You that He influences the decisions I make.  I can depend, rely, and lean upon Him that I am walking in accordance to His Sovereign will. I lift up Your name now and forevermore. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – My Faith is in God

2 Peter 1:1 TLB To: All of you who have our kind of faith. The faith I speak of is the kind that Jesus Christ our God and Savior gives to us. How precious it is, and how just and good He is to give this same faith to each of us.

My faith is totally reliant upon Jesus Christ and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. Without having the Trinity, living and abiding in me, I am nothing but dust to the earth.  I am ‘Born Again’ and I accept I am a new creation, created in Christ Jesus unto good works which God has before ordained I should walk in Him. How and earth I managed in this world without Him, doesn’t bare thinking about. I know I am forgiven and accepted into His eternal Kingdom. He has taken all my sins away on the Cross and He remembers my sins no more. 
Having a real relationship with Jesus, is the best decision I made. He is loyal and true. He has never let me down as man/woman have. I know my faith in Him will always be rewarded. I trust Him completely and willingly turn every detail of my life over to Him.  He shows me how to deal with whatever comes into my life. I look to Him for my answers through prayer, acknowledging I need His help is what He wants to hear from me. I willingly submit, surrenender, relinquish and yield my life into the controlling hands of the Holy Spirit of God, knowing He will guide and lead me into God’s perfect plans. After praying to Him and acknowledging I need His help, I commit my prayers into His hands take my hands off the situation; and trust He will work all things together for good for those that love God and are called in accordance to His purpose and will.  

Prayer

Father, thank You for the enabling power of Christ Jesus, I rely upon Him to continue to help me make the right decisions; I accept it is through His grace that I can overcome. I know the right thing to do, and by His grace I will do it. I ask You Lord about Your desires for me, and I think about how I can use the rest of my earthly life to bring honour, praise and glory to You. I pray for Your guidance and instruction and open my ears to hear You calling my name forever and always in Jesus name. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Godly Living

1 Timothy 2:1-4 TLB Here are my directions: Pray much for others; plead for God’s mercy upon them; give thanks for all he is going to do for them. Pray in this way for kings and all others who are in authority over us, or are in places of high responsibility, so that we can live in peace and quietness, spending our time in godly living and thinking much about the Lord. This is good and pleases God our Savior, for He longs for all to be saved and to understand this truth.

Surrendering your life to the authority of Jesus Christ is a daily decision. If we pray our requests before Christ and intercede for His people, then we must expect Him to answer us at His appointed time. We must never give up until we see our prayers answered. After all, He is an all-powerful and an all-knowing God. Whatever is needed in one’s life, He will take care of it for them. We need to pray daily to be empowered by the Spirit of God and be under the Holy Spirit’s leadership. We must stand firm in our faith in Christ. We need the Holy Spirit of God to enable us to do so. He gives us a new middle name “Stand”, and this is what we should intend to do when the enemy tries to steal from us. We stand in God and then throw the enemy back at him. Remembering our past, present, and future experience God has given us leads us to victory against them. God works many miracles within us and helps us deal with the many Goliaths we have experienced. He continues His deliverance within each of us daily and into the future. Walking in obedience and surrendering our lives to Christ is the only option we should want to take.

Prayer

Father, I thank You that You enable and empower me to live a Godly life in quietness and peace. I praise and thank You for delivering me from all the giants I allowed to come into my life. I surrender to the authority of Christ Jesus, and I “Stand” in Him. I thank You also for sealing my spirit, soul, heart and mind in the Holy Spirit of God. I ask You to continually renew my mind, into the mind of Jesus Christ.
I pray for others too, that they also may have the knowledge and wisdom of the truth Your Word. I commit and commend this prayer to You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, giving You all the praise and thanksgiving. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ - Divine Guide

1 John 2:27 TLB But you have received the Holy Spirit, and He lives within you, in your hearts, so that you don’t need anyone to teach you what is right. For He teaches you all things, and he is the Truth, and no liar; and so, just as He has said, you must live in Christ, never to depart from him.

It has taken me over three decades to arrive at the place I am now in with God. I realised more and more how much I needed to depend, lean, and rely upon the Holy Spirit of God. He is my ‘Divine Guide’. My Helper, the Holy Spirit, leads my steps when I follow Him. He is the One who has taught me what is good and right. He has taught me all things I need to know. He does not want me to go astray, and if I do waver from the wrong path, He gently prompts me back onto the right path He wants me to walk in. 
I am so grateful and thankful I have received the Holy Spirit of God, and invited Him to live and reign over me. I willingly surrender, submit, and relinquish all that I am to Him in obedience to His Soveriegn will. I don’t need anyone to teach me what is true. For the Spirit teaches me everything I need to know. 
He is the Truth, and He is not a liar. He guides me into the path of His commandments and leads me step by step. 

Prayer

Father, thank You for bringing the Truth into my heart and placing Your seal of ownership upon my life through the Holy Spirit of God. How grateful and thankful I am to You for bringing me the truth of Jesus Christ my precious Lord. He has set me free from all my sin, and washed me in the Blood of Christ, enabling and empowering me to love, honour, obey, Him, through the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God.  
No-more do I desire to try and live my life on my own, but I trust You in faith that the plans You have made for my life will come to pass at Your appointed time. Thank You that You have everything under Your control. I praise and bless You for bringing the me into the place I am in today. I take my hands off everything, asking You to continue to work out Your perfect plans for my life that will glorify, magnify, and exalt Your name, in the name of Jesus Christ my precious Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – What a Wonderful God

2 Corinthians 1:3-7 TLB What a wonderful God we have—he is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the source of every mercy, and the one who so wonderfully comforts and strengthens us in our hardships and trials. And why does he do this? So that when others are troubled, needing our sympathy and encouragement, we can pass on to them this same help and comfort God has given us. You can be sure that the more we undergo sufferings for Christ, the more he will shower us with his comfort and encouragement. We are in deep trouble for bringing you God’s comfort and salvation. But in our trouble God has comforted us—and this, too, to help you: to show you from our personal experience how God will tenderly comfort you when you undergo these same sufferings. He will give you the strength to endure.

Prayer

Father God, I have such a wonderful and awesome God – He is the Father of my precious Lord Jesus Christ, the Source of every mercy, and the One so wonderfully comforts and strengthens me in my hardships and trials. God You are the Lord of my life, and You have every right to use me to comfort and encourage others around me. As Your servant, I must be willing to do Your will, even when it hurts. I will not waste my suffering but instead I will use it to bring glory to the Lord Jesus Christ now and forever more. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – He Gives Me Strength

Joel 2:25 TLB “And I will give you back the crops the locusts ate!—my great destroying army that I sent against you.

God promises to restore to us what the locusts have stolen from our lives. Once we confess our sins to God, immediately we are forgiven. He does not want us to hold onto sins anymore. God’s blessings are promised to those who sincerely and consistently follow Him. God promises that after the final Day of Judgment, His people will never again experience this kind of disaster. He is restoring us now and has filled our hearts with such joy and with a new song. Enough years of our lives have been wasted; we must not intend to waste any more years. God is so merciful and gracious to us and puts such hope within our hearts. God fulfils our purpose now, and we appreciate everything He does and gives us on this earth. He rescues us with His grace, mercy, and His great kindnesses. We know God can and will bring good in our wasted years. Through humility and through our failures He helps us to understand our weaknesses. He shows us we may have a lot in common with others.

Prayer

Father, You have given me strength to overcome the darkest hours of my life. You have set me free to live my life for Thee. I desire to follow the Holy Spirit of God to lead me in the paths of Your commandments. You will restore to me what the locusts have stolen. No longer am I alone but You dwell and live in me through Your precious Son Jesus Christ and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. I am so grateful and thankful for the life I now have in Jesus Christ, and I will follow Him now and forever more into eternity. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Working for Good

Romans 8: 28 TLB  And we know that all that happens to us is working for our good if we love God and are fitting into his plans.

When an opportunity is blocked, remember that God has a reason. And He’s providing love and protection, even in your disappointment. The Lord is also keeping His promise to work everything for your good (Rom. 8:28). When one door has closed, another will open. Be wise and watch for it.

Prayer

Father God, how grateful and thankful I am to You, for working out Your perfect plan for my life. Even when I feel that the opportunities I may have, seemed to be blocked; I must always remember You have allowed it because You know what is best for me. You love me and protect me from any wrong moves I may want to take and You help me to overcome the disappointments I may have because things are not working out as I expected them too.  I thank You for the supernatural power of Your Spirit, who guides and leads me and at His appointed time I will arrive at the place He wants me to be at Your appointed time. I am certain and assured that as one door closes, another one will be opened, so I shall be wise and watch for it as I am prompted and led by Your Word through the name of Jesus Christ I give all the praise and thanksgiving now and forever more. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Waiting on God

We must learn to wait patiently for God to help us. When we are going through trials, this is the time to realise we must trust in God, and ask Him for the help we need. We are not alone in the world, but we do have a God who is with us wherever we go. We must remember this. When things don’t seem to be going in the way we first thought, this is the time to pray and seek God’s face and ask Him for guidance and instruction and to lead us into His Sovereign will. This can be a hard thing to do at times, but having the Holy Spirit of God living in us gives us the assurance we need to believe the promises He has made with us in the name of Jesus Christ. Moment by moment He is ready to guide and lead us one step at a time. Ask Him for His help, and He will show you the way.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I will wait patiently for You to deliver me from the trial I am in. I know You have heard my cry, and I trust You to deliver me through this trial in faith in Jesus Christ my precious Lord. Thank You for sending the Holy Spirit to live and dwell in me and I trust He will guide and lead me moment by moment one step at a time. I ask You for Your help, and I know He will show me the way in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
