New Blog Post: "Stand Firm"

Colossians 4:12 NIV Epaphras, who is one of you and a servant of Christ Jesus, sends greetings. He is always wrestling in prayer for you, that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured.

Are you secure in God? Do you keep your eyes focused and fixed upon the Lord Jesus Christ in all things?
Over the years God has shown me He wants me to be completely obedient and walk a  surrendered life with Him. I have learnt not to let my earthly emotions and feelings get in the way of walking with Him this is so important to me. Depending and leaning upon the Holy Spirit of God has helped me to do this. I am so grateful and thankful to God for sending His Holy Spirit to reside in me. He has comforted me and helped me to get my life into a Godly order. Yes, at times it has been hard to do what God wanted me to do. But perseverance has helped me not to give up. I have become stronger in my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His Word has strengthened me. I am determined not to go back into my old way of life. Having a new life with Jesus has made me appreciate all the good things He has done for me. God has given me the freedom to choose what I want to do. He has never made me do anything I don’t want to do but He has given me the choice to do whatever I want. I have wrestled in prayer with God and wrestling prayer has taught me to stand firm in His will and now I am becoming mature and fully assured in everything I do.
This is something we must learn. It does not happen overnight. It is praying day by day to God including Him in each decision we make. He is so faithful to His people and He guides and leads us into the purpose of His will even when we may not understand fully what He is doing. We may think we have got it all wrong. The more I get closer to God the more the enemy attacks me. The enemy hates it when I pray to God in fact he gives me more hassle to try to turn me away from God. He puts all kinds of obstacles in my way to divert me from focusing on God and prayer. Thankfully, God has won the victory over my life and I am ever grateful and thankful to Him for not giving up on me. Now I have a positive attitude that the plan God has for my life no man can put asunder. I do not need to worry or be anxious about anything anymore because I know God is in control of every detail of my life on this earth.
