Come and Join me In God's Word - God‘s Presence Is With Me

Psalm 16:11 TLB You have let experience the joys of life and the exquisite pleasures of Your own eternal presence.

God is showing me more and more that I am to walk in the coming ‘New Year’, knowing His presence will be with me always. I am about to begin a new adventure with Him. After waiting two and a half years His promises are about to come to pass. He is taking me into the promised land where His blessings await me (Genesis 12:1-4 TLB). I have never doubted His promises would not come to pass, but He has taught me the joys of patience and obedience waiting on Him to work out all the consequences of His plans for my life without me giving Him a helping hand. This is something we must learn. God does not get things wrong. If He says He is about to do something and it’s in accordance with His will, then although we are unable at times to see what He is doing, this is where faith comes in. I have learnt now to take my hands of everything and walk one step at a time with Him.

Prayer

Father, I want to thank You for Your peaceful Presence in my life regardless of my feelings. I whisper Your Name in loving tenderness. Your peace which lives continually in my spirit, will gradually work it’s way through my entire being. Father, I need not be anxious about the plans You have made for my life, You will guide and lead me in the way I should go. I will allow You to show me the next steps I am to take. I know You will never lead me into anything I am not ready for. I ask You Lord, for Your guidance In both my plans for next year and in the steps I need to take to get there. May God richly bless me as I surrender, submit, relinquish, and yield my will and ways in the almighty name of Jesus Christ and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. I commit and commend this prayer to Him. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Faith in God

Hewbrews 11:1 NLT Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.

My faith is in the character of God. He is who He says He is. I believe in God’s promises, as He has yet to let me down, since I became aware of who He is. He has always done what He has promised to do for me. I know at times I cannot see what He is doing, but nevertheless that does not alter the facts of what He has said to me He will do. This is where my faith and hope comes from having confidence in Him that what He has said will actually happen; it has given me the assurance about things I cannot see.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the confident faith You have given to me through Your precious Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank You for showing me Your character and You are who You say You are. I believe in the promises You have made with me, for Your Word does not lie. I am assured what You say to me, You will fulfill all at Your appointed time, in the name of Jesus Christ and in the supernatural power of the Holy  Spirit of God. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Presence

Psalm 73:23-24 NLT Yet I still belong to You You hold my right hand. You guide me with Your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny.

My confidence is in God’s presence and guidance. From birth to death, I am continually in God’s grip. But far more, I have the hope of resurrection with Him. Though my courage and strength may fail, I know that one day I will be raised to life with the Lord Jesus Christ, to serve Him forever. He is my security, my ever present help and I cling to Him with all my spirit and soul.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, my confidence is in Your presence and guidance. From birth to death, I am continually in Your grip. But far more, I have the hope of resurrection with Jesus Christ . Though my courage and strength may fail, I know one day I will be raised to life with the Lord Jesus Christ, to serve Him forever. My security, faith, trust, is in Him alone and I cling to Jesus with all my heart, mind, spirit, body, and soul. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – The Lord Helps Me

Psalm 40:2-3 NLT I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along.

When I have had to wait on God, I have not at times found it easy; but I have received four benefits by me waiting. (1) God lifted me out of my despair, (2) God set my feet on solid ground, (3) God steadied me as I walked and (4) God put a new song in my heart to praise, worship, adore and love Him more. Often I have to wait for God’s blessings and sometimes I go through a trial of waiting.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank You for giving me the strength and patience to wait upon You. Thank You for helping me when I cry out to You. You lift me out of my despair, out of the mud and mire. You set me upon the solid ground of God, steadying me as I walk along the path with You. How grateful and thankful I am to You always and forever more, I place my love and trust in You. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – We Should Fear God

Ecclesiastes 3:14 NLT And I know that whatever God does is final. Nothing can be added to it or taken from it. God’s purpose is that people should fear Him.

I have learnt the purpose of my life is to fear the all-powerful God. I also love the all-powerful God because I respect Him. I stand in awe at all the wonderful things He has done for me and because of who He is. My purpose in life starts with whom I know, not what I know or how good I am. It is impossible to fulfill my God-given purpose unless I revere, exalt, and praise God. I give Him first place in my life now and forevermore.

Prayer

Heavenly God, You are God and I know whatever You do is final. I I know nothing can be added to it or taken from it. God’s purpose is that people should fear Him. I have learnt the purpose in my life is to fear the all-powerful God, but I also love the all-powerful God because I respect Him.  I stand in awe at all the wonderful things You have done and continue to do for me and because of who You are. My purpose in life starts with whom I know, not what I know or how good I am. It is impossible to fulfill by God-given purpose unless I revere, exalt, and praise God in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord, and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. I give the Almighty God, first place in my life now and forever more. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Requirements

Deuteronomy 10:12-13 NLT And now Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the Lord your God, and live in a way that pleases Him, and love Him and serve Him with all your heart and soul. And you must always obey the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good.

Often I ask God, Lord, what do You require of me? I wait upon Him and listen to His response to my question? Sometimes, it is not always what I want to hear, other times I am jumping with joy, because I have the answers I want to hear. It is hard to follow the commands of God, and to live in a way that pleases Him, but one thing I do know that is certain, I love Him and serve Him with all my heart and soul. I fear God (have reverence for Him). Live in a way that pleases Him. Love Him. Serve Him with all my heart and soul. Obey His commands to the best of my knowledge and ability. I live my life in faith, trust, love, confidence, in the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God.

Prayer

Gracious God, You require me to fear the Lord my God, and live in a way that pleases You. I want to do this too. I love You and serve You with my all my heart and soul. I surrender, submit, and relinquish my life to You, in obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Ask God for Wisdom

James 1:5 NLT If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and He will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.

When I need God’s wisdom, I go straight to the ‘Throne of God’, and I ask Him for wisdom in the name of Jesus Christ. I need God’s wisdom and guidance in everything I do. It helps me through trying times. God’s wisdom is practical. The wisdom from God relates to life during the most trying times. It is not a wisdom isolated from suffering trials. This wisdom is a tool which trials are overcome. An intelligent person may have profound ideas, but a wise person puts profound ideas into action. Intelligence will allow some to describe several reasons why the car broke down. The wise person chooses the most likely reason and proceeds to take action. God’s wisdom is divine, and it goes beyond common sense. It is Christlike. Asking for wisdom is ultimately to be like Christ.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I do ask You for wisdom, and also I ask for confident faith in what I hope for and assurance for the things I cannot see. Thank You for the Scripture which helps me gain the confidence I need in my times of struggles and circumstances. I truly believe what You have said You will do in my life, You will do in the name of Jesus Christ at Your appointed time. I thank You for the Holy  Spirit, who helps me work through any doubts I may have and He helps me overcome in the name of Jesus Christ.  Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Praise the Lord

Psalm 57:9-11 NLT I will thank You, Lord, among all the people. I will sing Your praises among the nations. For Your unfailing love is as high as the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches the clouds. Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens. May Your glory shine over all the earth.

I will thank and praise the Lord as He has prepared my new day. I thank Him for His faithfulness and will honour Him with my songs of praise and thanksgiving. I don’t have to have sleepless night’s worrying, about the things I cannot change, I use those wakeful hours to meditate on an expression suitable for the world. God has shown me how to turn times of stress into times of blessing by considering God’s faithfulness in comparison with my fleeting problems. I have no need to worry when I can invest my time in praying, worshiping, and praising, God, i can never thank Him enough for all the goodness God has bestowed upon me In Jesus  Christ.

Prayer

I will thank You, Lord, among all the people. I will sing Your praises among the nations. For Your unfailing live for me is high as the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches the clouds. Be exalted, O God, about the highest heavens. May Your glory shine over all the earth. I praise and thank You, with all of my heart, mind, body, spirit, and soul, for all Your goodness You have bestowed upon me in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

My Hope is in God

Romans 5:3-6 NLT We can rejoice , too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they can help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us because He has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love. When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners.

Even when I have trials and problems I can still find within my heart to rejoice in God, for I know that this can help me to develop endurance. The future is hard especially what is going on in the world today, but having the hope and trust in God, will resolve all the issues we face. We will not escape having difficulties, but we do have a great God, who is always present with us, and He has promised never to leave us nor forsake us. The Father loved us so much that He sent His Son to bridge the gap between us. The Father and the Son send the Holy Spirit to fill our life with love and to enable us to live by His power. When we feel utterly helpless, Jesus always comes just at the right time, we need His help to overcome life’s difficulties and Satan’s attacks.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I can rejoice, too, when I run into problems and trials, for I know that they can help me develop endurance.  And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens my confident hope of salvation. The hope I have in Jesus does not lead to disappointment. For I know how much God loves me because He has given me the Holy Spirit to fill my heart with His love. How grateful and thankful I am to You almighty God, for whatever my future holds. You have given me the gift of trust, love, faith, and hope in Jesus Christ, who has bridge the gap between us and He will resolve all the problems and trials I face. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Wait with Patience

Psalm 27:14 NLT Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.

It is really has been hard for me to wait patiently for the Lord. Even now as I write, I am waiting on the Lord to answer my prayer. I have been waiting over two years for this specific prayer to be answered, but I will never give up on God until He answers me and see His faithfulness fulfilled. All God wants from me is my trust and have faith to believe what He has said to me, He will do.

He is testing my faith, but I know He will build my faith in confidence even though I am unable to see what He is doing behind the scenes. I know He is working out the plans and purpose He has for my life, and He most certainly does not need my help to do this.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I am waiting upon You to move the mountains in my life in the name of Jesus  Christ. You know what You are doing and it’s up to me to trust that the purpose of Your plan will come to pass at Your appointed time. I will wait patiently upon the Lord for You to do what You have said and promised. May Your name be magnified, glorified, and exalted forever and always, in the name of Jesus Christ, and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Ask God for Wisdom

Proverbs 2:6-9 NLT For the Lord grants wisdom! From His mouth come knowledge and understanding. He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity. He guards the paths of the just and protects those who are faithful to Him. Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair, and you will find the right way to go.

We must seek God, and ask Him through the Holy Spirit of God, to grant us His wisdom in the name of Jesus Christ. He will give His wisdom and victory to the godly but not to those drifting through life or acting irresponsibly with His gifts and resources. If we are faithful to Him and keep His purpose in life clearly in mind, He will keep us from pride and greed.

We gain wisdom through a constant process of growing. First, we must trust and honour God. Second, we must realise that the Bible reveals God’s wisdom to us. Third, we must make a lifelong series of right choices and avoid moral pitfalls. Fourth, when we make sinful choices and mistakes, we must learn from our errors and recover. For example some people have more insight than discretion, others have more knowledge thank common sense. But we pray for all aspects of wisdom and take the steps to develop them.

Prayer

Father God, I ask You to fill me full with Your wisdom, knowledge, understanding, guidance, insight, and direction today. I need all these spiritual gifts to enable and empower me to do the things You are calling me to do. Without You I can do nothing, but in Christ Jesus, I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. I thank You for protecting me and being a shield and shade to me, thank You, that You watch over me and take care of me for the glory, honour, praise of Your kingdom and name. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God Keeps His Promises

Psalm 145:13-14 NLT For Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. You rule throughout all generations. The Lord always keep His promises; He is gracious in all He does. The Lord helps the fallen and lifts those bent beneath their loads.

Sometimes, my burdens are so heavy and more than I can bear. I wonder to myself, how on earth can I go on? I am at the crossroads of my life, wondering which route God wants me to take. I meditate on the Word of God, asking Him to make things clear to me. God led me to this Scripture:  Psalm 32:8 TLB I will instruct you (says the Lord) and guide you along the best pathway for your life; I will advise you and watch your progress.

God through His Word has given me the promise I needed to hear. I can trust Him to do what He says He will do.

I have commited the burden to Him and continue to meditate on His promises. He is faithful in His character, nature, and personality, so I have faith to know He will not let me down. His greatness is beyond discovery, He does mighty acts for each generation, He is full of majestic, glorious splendour, He does awe-inspiring deeds, He is righteous, He is kind, merciful, patient, loving, and compassionate, He rules over an everlasting kingdom, He is my source of all my daily needs, He is righteous and kind in all His dealings, He remains close to those who call on Him, He hears our cries and rescues us. So, I remember all that God is and when I feel I am about to fall under my heavy loads God really does lift me up.

Prayer

Gracious and loving God, thank You for Your encouragement for me today. I trust You to guide and lead me along the best pathway for life. I wait patiently for You to prepare the way You want me to go. I lift up Your name with praise, thanksgiving, adoration, and love. There is no other God in my life for me but Thee. I come to You in the precious name of Jesus Christ my Lord, and through the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Life is Short

Psalm 144:3-4 NLT O Lord, what are human beings that You should notice them, mere mortals that You should think about them? For they are like a breath of air; there days are like passing shadow.

Life is short, and our days are numbered. The time we have on the earth should be used wisely, our time could pass us by like a “passing shadow.” Our life is like the morning fog – it’s here for a while, then it’s gone. Because life is short, live for God while you have the time. Do not waste your time or life by selecting an inferior purpose that has no lasting value. Only God can make your life worthwhile, purposeful, and meaningful.

Prayer

Gracious God, we are human beings and we should be thankful that You notice us. We know our time on this earth is limited, so help us to use the time we have wisely, or our time could pass us by like a “passing shadow.” Our life is short, so let us live for God and do His bidding for the glory, honour, and praise of the Lord Jesus Christ. Do not let us waste our time or life, by selecting an inferior purpose that has no lasting value. Help us to realise only God can make our lives worthwhile, purposeful, and meaningful in the precious name of Jesus Christ we give thanks and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God we ask. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God Is Building Me Up

Jeremiah 24:6-7 NLT I will watch over and care for them, and I will bring them back here again. I will build them up and not tear them down. I will plant them and not uproot them. I will give them hearts that recognise me as the Lord. They will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to Me wholeheartedly.

When I acknowledged Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour and Lord, I realised I had been in a foreign land, and in captivity. I was in exiled for those first forty years of my life, I never realised even then how God was watching over me and taking care of me. I did not have a personal relationship with Jesus then, but it was only after He came to find me, and I accepted Him, as my personal Saviour and Lord, the Holy Spirit of God, began transforming me into image of Jesus Christ. A new spiritual birth was taking place.

He was building me up and not tearing me down. He was planting me and not uprooting me. The Holy Spirit of God, was watering the seeds within my heart, mind, body, spirit, and soul, enabling and empowering me to grow in faith in His supernatural power. He is changing my life moment by moment causing my faith to grow strong in Him. He is my God and my King, my Master and  my Lord. I am His child, and He is my God. I am wholeheartedly committed to Him and He is committed to me, for the glory, honour, and praise of His holy name.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, how grateful and thankful I am that You have always watched over me and taken care of me. Thank You for bringing me back again to the land You exiled me from. Thank You for my new spiritual birth in the name of Jesus Christ, and now I am able to recognise and acknowledge You as my personal Saviour and Lord. My faith and love is rooted and ground in Christ, to the honour, praise, and glory, of my Heavenly Father.

Thank You for my Helper the Holy Spirit of God, who teaches me the Truth, the Way, and the Life, of the Lord Jesus Christ I am ever grateful and thankful to Him now and forever more. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Word is Written Upon my Heart

Psalm 119:10-12  NLT I have tried hard to find You – don’t let me wander from Your commands. I have hidden Your Word in my heart, that I might not sin against You. I praise You, O Lord; teach me Your decrees.

Daily, I search for God’s Word to keep within my heart so that I don’t wander away from His commands. He has hidden His Word deep within my heart, so when I do sin the Holy Spirit of God, will immediately convict me of my sin, enabling me to repent and become clean once again before God. I have asked God to write His Word upon my heart and mind, so that I never forget His teachings. I memorise Scriptures, and use Scripture in my prayer’s to Him. I have learnt the enemy does not like God’s Word spoken to him, especially when it is used in faith and confidence in the name of Jesus Christ and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. I make sure I put God’s Word to work in my life, making it a vital guide for everything I do.

Prayer

Almighty and merciful God, I thank and praise You that through the name of Jesus Christ, You have forgiven me all of my sin. I ask You to help me not to wander away from Your truth and be obedient to Your commandments. I have hidden (keeping), Your Word deep within my heart. You have written Your Word upon my heart, mind, spirit, and soul. I am every grateful and thankful to You, O God, that You enable and empower me through the supernatural power of Your Spirit, to live a righteous, holy, and godly life in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Pay Attention O God

Psalm 5:1-3 NLT O Lord, hear me as I pray; pay attention to my groaning. Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God, for I pray to no one but You. Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to You and wait expectantly.

I get up early in the morning, the first thing I do when I wake up is to praise and thank God for the new day. I am eager to come and sit with Him, so I quickly get into the shower, get dressed and pray that I am dressed in the full amour of God, and ask God to protect me from the evil one.

I go downstairs where my dog greets me, she is excited that I am up and ready to take her for her morning walk. When I get home I make sure she is fed and watered, then I make my cup of coffee, gather my Bible, Prayer Journal, and Daily Readings and sit in my favourite place and give God my full attention.

The secret of a close relationship with God is to pray to Him earnestly each morning. This is when my mind is free from problems, and I can commit the whole day to Him. I am regularly in communication with Jesus, I know He is present with me wherever I am and wherever I go. He helps my faith and friendship to grow in Him. This is so necessary for me to have a strong relationship with God. I need to communicate with Him daily. Having this regular time to pray and read God’s Word is the most important part of my day.

Prayer

O Lord, hear me as I pray to You. I give You my full attention, as I cry out to You for help. You are my King and my God for I pray to no one but you. Listen to my voice in the morning Lord. Each morning I bring all of my requests to You and wait expectantly for You to answer me in the precious name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – He Has Redeemed Me

Psalm 107:1-2 NLT Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! His faithful love endures forever. Has the Lord redeemed you? Then speak out! Tell others He has redeemed you from your enemies.

God has truly helped me in the latter days of my life. Before I knew Him personally, I wandering around the world like a lost sheep. It was when God came to me rescue me, my life changed. I have Jesus Christ to praise and thank for this. He has done so much for me and I have so much to thank Him for. He has been so faithful to the promises He has made with me, and where man/women has let me down God never has. I have learnt to trust and have confident faith, that no matter what I have had to go through in life, God’s presence is with me every second, minute, hour, of each new day. He will always be with me to love, support,  encourage and give me the help I need. All of His works I thank and praise Him for. I will tell of His mighty deeds and about the majesty and glory of His everlasting kingdom. The Lord has kept His covenant to me; and He has been full of grace, love, and poured out His mercies upon me. This is always great to remember His grace, mercy, love, and faithfulness will see us through until one day we will meet Him personally in eternity.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I want to exalt and praise Your blessed and holy name, in the name of Jesus Christ. I want to thank and praise You for Your mercy, grace, love, and faithfulness You have shown towards me Your child. I cannot thank You enough for everything You have done for me and continue to do for me through Your precious Son and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God, I give thanks. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – I Give Thanks to God

Psalm 100 NLT Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth! Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before Him, singing with joy. Acknowledge that the Lord is God! He made us and we are His. We are His people the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving, go into His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and His faithfulness continues to each generation.

The day I acknowledged that Jesus was God, and He came to live within my heart, my life has been changed radically. I shout out my praises to Him, and appreciate everything He did for me on the Cross of Calvary. He paid all my sin debts in full and He paid the price and penalty for all my sins. When I think of all the millions of people that are in the world, Jesus, loved me so much He sent someone into the hospital to find me. It still blows my mind away even to this present day. He loved me enough that He was not going to let me go and continue to live my life in sin.

Jesus, over the years has broken all the chains of darkness upon my life and He set me free from sin, the world and everything in it. The moment I heard that still small voice in my heart in the early hours of  Sunday morning, God was saying to me, “Avril, everything that has been wrong in your life, I the Lord Your God, will put everything right,” I knew my life would never be the same again. I had the assurance things were about to change and as I left the hospital my heart was bubbling over with excitement, love, joy, and peace and the heaviness I had in my heart before I went into the hospital was now all gone.

Prayer

Lord, I sing praises to Your precious and holy name. I shout for joy for all You have done for me. I worship You in beauty of Your holiness godliness, and righteousness. I enter Your gates with thanksgiving, praise, adoration, and love. For whom have I in heaven but You, O Lord, and earth has nothing I desire besides You. Thank You for sending Your Holy Spirit to help and comfort me and to seal me with Your presence and glory. I am Your child and You will never leave me nor forsake me as I trust in You O God.  I commit and commend this prayer to You in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Life of Integrity

Psalm 101:1-3 NLT I will sing of Your love and justice Lord. I will praise You with songs. I will be careful to live a blameless life – when will You come to help me? I will lead a life of integrity in my own home. I will refuse to look at anything vile and vulgar. I hate all who deal crookedly; I will have nothing to do with them.

When I became a Christian, I made the decision that I wanted nothing to do with anything that would dishonour the name of Jesus Christ. In my own home my husband as far as I know has not committed His life to God, but daily I pray for him and my whole household.  The Holy Spirit of God, will convict my husband and family of sin when He is ready to do so. It is not my place to convict anyone of sin, but the most important thing I must do is pray for them. I ask the Holy Spirit of God, to touch them with His grace, mercy, and love. He knows His children by name, so it is my place to pray that they too will know the glory of God’s Kingdom and name.

It has been so hard at times for me, but through all my trials and tribulations I have never given up on God, or given up on my family. I will continue to praise and thank God for everything He is doing in my life and also in the lives of those whom I love. I try to be careful to live a blameless life- and know without God’s help I can do nothing. I try to avoid anything that is evil and keep my eyes and mind focused on Jesus Christ, continually asking Him for the supernatural power of His Holy Spirit for all the help I need. He will enable and empower me  to live a life that is pleasing and acceptable to Him. As God changes me I pray God will change my family also, and one day we will be untied joined together in the three cord fold that cannot be easily broken in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Prayer

Father God, I want to praise and thank You for everything You are doing in my family and my life. I cannot tell You how grateful and thankful I am to You for Your grace, mercy, and love. I thank You for the joy of Your Salvation You have given to me. I also pray You will give Your Salvation to my family and friends throughout the world. I ask You to rescue and save them as You rescued and saved me for the glory, praise, and honour of Your name. I come to You in the name of Jesus Christ and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God and I commit and commend this prayer to You. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Unfailing Love

Psalm 143:8 NLT Let me hear of Your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting You. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to You.

Genesis 28:15 NLT What’s more, I am with you, and I will protect you wherever you go. One day I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have given you everything I have promised you.

I listen to God each morning, for I know His unfailing love is with me. I trust He will show me where He wants me to walk. For He has promised me, “I will instruct you (says the Lord) and guide you along the best pathway for your life; I will advice you and watch your progress. (Psalm 32:8 TLB).

God has made this covenant promise with me, and I trust He will do what He has said. I may not know where I am going, but I am assured He knows where He wants me to be. This is when I have to walk by faith and not by sight, trusting, God through Jesus Christ and through the Holy  Spirit of God, is a hard thing to do. But when you see the history of what God has done with godly men/women iin the Bible, you begin to understand what He did for them He surely will do for you as long it’s part of His plans.

This is where true faith comes to the forefront even when you cannot see physically what God is doing are you going to trust Him? I have seen what God has continually done for me and continues to do for me, He has never let me down and at His appointed time His Word has come to pass. Depending, leaning, relying upon the Holy Spirit of God in the name of Jesus Christ, through prayer and studying God’s Word, mediating upon God’s Word has strengthened me, and given me the confidence I need to live my life in faith.

Prayer

Gracious and loving God, I praise and thank You for everything You have done and are doing in my life. Thank You for sending Your Holy Spirit into my life, bringing Your truth to life within my heart, mind, body, spirit, and soul. I trust You will work out Your plans You have ordained for my life and I have the assurance Your plans will come to pass at Your appointed time. In the precious name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Righteousness and Peace

Psalm 85:9-13 NLT Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him, so our land will be filled with His glory. Unfailing love and truth have met together. Righteousness and peace have kissed! Truth springs up from the earth, and righteousness smiles down from heaven . Yes, the Lord pours down His blessings. Our land will yield it bountiful harvest. Righteousness goes as a herald before Him, preparing the way for His steps.

I know my salvation has come from God, and know He loves me, I also love Him with all my heart, mind, body, spirit, and soul. I cannot thank Him enough for rescuing and saving me from the darkness of this world. He has filled my land with His glory, and no matter where I am and what I am doing, I know His presence is with me wherever I go.

God has revived me, and has brought me back to a spiritual life. The deeper I go with God, the more He fills me with His righteousness and peace. I seek God’s righteousness and His kingdom as Jesus pointed out, the more I do this then the more God will reveal that He is taking care everything else.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing the truth into my life, through Your precious Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank You for sending the Holy Spirit of God, to place a seal of ownership upon my life which can never be broken. Thank You I am a child of God, and You are my precious Saviour and Redeemer. Thank You I receive all of Your blessings and a  bountiful harvest of Your love and peace. I seek Your righteousness and Your kingdom, as Jesus pointed out to me, the the more I do this then the more God will reveal that He is taking care of everything else for me in Jesus name. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Unfailing Love

Psalm 13:5-6 NLT But I trust in Your unfailing love. I will rejoice because You have rescued me. I will sing to the Lord because He is good to me.

Sometimes, I feel God is slow to act on my behalf. Even, though many times I have felt like this I have not allowed my feelings and emotions to get in the way of my love and faith in God. I continue to trust God no matter how long I have to wait for God’s justice to be realised. When I become impatient, I remember God steadfastness, and ask Him to increase my  faith and love for Him.  When I have felt the pressure of my problems I have never given up or given in to my emotions, feelings, and despair, however I cling to Jesus Christ, and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit, He gives me the faith and strength and courage to carry on enabling and empowering to continually trust Him no matter what my circumstances may look like in the world.

Gracious and loving God, I praise and thank You for given me Your unfailing love. I will rejoice in You because You have rescued me. I will sing praises to You my Lord and God, because You have always been good to me, even when I have not deserved it. I  ask You to increase me in my faith, love, confidence, and trust, enabling and empowering through the Holy Spirit of God, to live my life in the honour, glory, and praise of His holy and precious name. ‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – I Wait Quietly Before God

Psalm 62:5-6 NLT Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in Him. He alone is my Rock and my Salvation, my Fortress where I will not be shaken.

My hope is in continually in God. I wait quietly before Him, He is my hope, my rock and my salvation, my fortress in whom I trust and I will not be shaken. I confess my feelings and emotions to God. My prayers to God, has been built upon my faith and trust in HIm. He has released me from all emotional stress. Trusting God to be my rock, salvation, and fortress has changed my entire outlook in my life. No longer must I be held captive by resentment towards others when they have hurt me. When I rest in God’s loving strength and feel His arms circled around me, nothing can shake me. I may think such people are “lighter than a breath of air.”

What then can tilt the scales when God weighs me? Trusting God is working within me and for me. Wealth, honour, power, or prestige add nothing to my value in God’s eyes; only the faithful work I do for Him has eternal value.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I wait quietly before You, for my hope is in You all day long. You alone are my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken. I praise and thank You for always being beside me and helping me overcome all my feelings and emotions. You alone are the One I trust. My love, confidence, faith, trust completely belong to You in the precious and holy name of Jesus Christ my precious Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Do Not Be Afriad

Deuteronomy 31:6 NLT So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.

God has made me strong and courageous! From being frightened and feeling insecure before I knew God personally, God has changed me and given me the confidence, strength, faith, and the security I needed to follow Him. Now, I am bold and courageous not alone anymore. Having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, has changed me and in my ways of thinking. He is my confidence and strength an ever present help in all my times of trouble. Now, I can do anything through Christ Jesus, who strengthens me.

God has never forced His will upon me, He lets me decide whether I want to follow Him or not. Daily, He guides and leads me and goes ahead of me to show me the way He has prepared for me to walk. To fulfill God’s purposes and will for my life, I need the content and substance of His Word written deep upon my heart and mind, this gives me the confidence, strength and courage to go forth in His precious and holy name. He makes sure I do not fail nor does He abandon me in whatever the task He has asked me to do. In God’s supernatural power He has filled me full with the presence and power of His Holy Spirit, and He enables and empowers me to have His assurance that I will never be alone ever again.

Prayer

Father, thank You that You have made me strong, bold, and courageous in Jesus Christ my precious Lord. I have no need to be afraid anymore, for You guide and lead me in Your perfect will and You guide me along the best pathway for my life. I am ever grateful and thankful to You for the relationship we have together, this has given me the faith and sercurity I needed to live my life for the glory, honour, praise, in the name of Jesus Christ, and through the presence and supernatural power of Your Holy Spirit, You have enabled and empowered me to fulfill the purposes of Your plans for my life to glorify, magnify, and to lift up Your name in praise and thanksgiving for everything You have done for me in the precious name of Jesus Christ my Lord. ‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Preserve the Teachings of God

Isaiah 8:16-18 NLT Preserve the teaching of God; entrust His instructions to those who follow Me. I will wait for the Lord, who has turned away from the descendants of Jacob. I wil put my hope in Him. I and the children of the Lord has given me serve as signs and warnings to Israel from the Lord of Heaven’s Armies who dwells in His Temple on Mount Zion.

I faithfully preserved the teachings of God and passed on these words from generation to generation, I have the book of Isaiah today. I have the responsibility to pass on God’s Word to my children and grandchildren, encouraging them to love the Bible, read it, and learn from it. Then they will faithfully pass it on to their children and grandchildren.

Sometimes, it has been difficult for me as a believer, I have had to be patient waiting for God and this is the most difficult testing I must face, waiting for illness to pass, for a child to return to God and the church, or for God to make matters right in a particular situation. I know many of the prophecies God has given me through the prophets have come true, but  sometimes what the prophets have said still haven’t been fulfilled as yet, I am prepared to wait and accept the Lord’s timing not mine.

Prayer

Lord of Heaven’s Armies, You who dwell in Your Temple in Mount Zion, I come before You today, I offer You my body as a living sacrifice pleasing and acceptable to God. I bring You sacrifices of praise and thanksgiving, and turn my life over to God completely. I ask You to have Your perfect will in my life, and I will preserve Your teachings; I entrust Your instruction to those who follow You. I will wait for Lord, to do what He wants to do even though at times this is a difficult thing for me to do. I put my hope in You. I am waiting upon You to act and to accomplish everything You have promised to do at Your appointed time, in Jesus precious and holy name. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God Guides Me

Psalm 25:4-5 NLT Show me the right path, O Lord, point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by Your truth and teach me, for You are my God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in You.

I asked Father God, for guidance and to lead me along the best pathway for my life. I believe I have received God’s guidance in faith. He shows me He is guiding and leading me through the Word of God. This is where I gain my knowledge and understanding from. By reading the Bible constantly I learn from it, I have gained the wisdom to perceive God’s direction for my life. I cannot demand any answers from God, but I can ask for direction. When I am willing to seek God, learn from His Word, and obey His commands, this is when I receive His specific guidance for my life and I put my hope in Him.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for showing me the right path, and pointing out the road You want me to follow. Continue to lead me by Your truth and teach me, for You are my God who has saved me in the name of Jesus Christ and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. All day long I put my hope, faith, trust, in You and I will willingly walk in submission and obedience to Thee in the precious name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Promises Come True

Joshua 23:14 NLT Soon I will die, going the way of everything on earth. Deep in your hearts you know that every promise of the Lord your God has come true. Not a single one has failed.

God had a plan and a purpose for the nation of Israel, and through his power and mercy he ensured that these plans succeeded. In the same way, God has a purpose for your life, and while you may fail, he will not. Take the opportunity today to submit your heart to his will. Know that not one good thing that God has planned for you will fail.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, You have a plan for each of Your children on the earth. I am one of those children, and I know Your plans and promises will come true, and they will succeed over my life. I may fail in what I do, but I know You will not fail in what You want to do for me.

Today, I take the opportunity and I submit, surrender, relinquish, and yield my heart to Your perfect will. I seek to be in the centre of Your will in the name of Jesus Christ.  I know that not one good thing You have planned for me will fail. I praise and bless You forever and always in the name of Jesus Christ my precious Lord, and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God I will walk in obedience to God. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Light and Truth

Psalm 43:3-4 NLT Send out Your light and truth; let them guide me. Let them lead me to Your holy mountain, to the place where You live. There I will go to the altar of God – the Source of all my joy. I will praise You with my harp, O God, my God!

I go to God each day and ask Him to send His light and truth; to guide and lead me to the places He wants me to be in. God’s truth provides for me the right path He wants me to follow, and God’s light provides the clear vision I am to follow. When I feel surrounded by darkness and uncertainty, this is when I seek the face of God’s light and truth more and more. I know He will guide and lead me for He is the only God I desire to be with, I will not recognise any other God but Him. With all of my heart, mind, body, spirit, and soul, I lean upon, depend upon, and rely upon the Holy Spirit of God, in the name of  Jesus Christ, for He is the Light of the World and only He is worthy to be praised adored and loved.

Prayer

O my precious God, send out Your light and truth; let them guide and lead me to Your holy mountain, to the place where You live. There I will go to the altar of God – the Source of all my joy. I will praise, adore, and love You with my whole heart, mind, body, spirit, and soul. Only You are worthy to be praised, adored, and loved, forever in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord, and in  the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God, I give thanks. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Obedience to God

Proverbs 31:25 NLT She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.

The Lord has been my strength all the way through my life, even when I did not have a personal relationship with Him, as I do now. I look back through my life, and I can see His hands has always been upon me. He has watched over me and taken care of me, and I find this quite amazing.

He has taught me how to be an excellent wife and mother to my husband and child. Instead of me being rebellious towards my husband, the Lord my God has changed my attitudes, habits, and will. He challenged me one day when He said to me, “Avril, if you cannot obey your husband, then you cannot obey Me”. I nearly choked when I heard God say these words to me. From the moment I heard those words from God, I vowed to God, I would win my husband to Him through my obedience to Him in the name of Jesus Christ. I am still waiting on God to do this for me, but because I was willing to change from what I was with my husband previously, Jesus Christ, has been working His supernatural power within me, and within him, and is changing his life and my life daily.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I praise and thank You for all your faithfulness You have given to me. I lift up Your name and glorify, magnify, and exalt Your name forever more. No matter how hard the task is for me, I know Your ever present help is with me day by day. I thank and praise You for the strength and courage You have given to me in my life. I want You to know I appreciate everything You are doing for me in the precious name of Jesus Christ and in the supernatural power of the Holy  Spirit of God. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Chosen Ones

Isaiah 41:9-10 NLT For I have chosen you and will not throw you away. Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with My victorious right hand.

I am so grateful and thankful that God chose me even though I do not deserve Him. He has chosen me to represent Him to the world, and with His help I will not fail to do this, I never want to be in captivity again. Nor do I wish to walk in darkness ever again. Every believer has been chosen by God and everyone of us share the responsibility of representing Him to the world. One day all of God’s faithful people will be together again this is something we most certainly can look forward too. There is no need to fear because: (1) God is with us, (“I am with you”); (2) God has established a relationship with us (“I am Your God”); and (3) God gives us assurance of His strength, help, and victory over sin and death. Are you aware of all the ways God has helped you?

Prayer

Gracious and loving Father, I praise, adore, and love You for the rest of my life on the earth. I can never thank and praise You enough for all the goodness You have showed towards me. I am so grateful and thankful You chose me to be Your precious child and You enable me and empower me to represent You to the world. I thank You for Your Son the Lord Jesus Christ, and I thank You for the Helper the Holy Spirit of God, who helps me and teaches me what You want me to do for the glory of Your Kingdom and name. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Sacrifice of Praise

Hebrews 13:15-16 NLT Therefore, let us offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to His name. And don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God.

Ever since I have known the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, with my lips I confess God’s name in praise. I praise God and give Him my time before the rush of the day begins. It is so important for me to set a time and place so that I can meet with God and give Him my full attention. I incude Him with whatever is going on in my life, and ask Him for His divine wisdom, knowledge, guidance, and instructions in how He wants me to handle things.
I offer Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming my allegiance to His precious name. I include that I must thank Jesus Christ for His sacrifice on the cross and when given the opportunities, I tell others about what He has done for me, He also can do for them. Acts of kindness and sharing are particualarly pleasing to God, even when I go unnoticed by others I still spread the Good News of the Gospel of Christ.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I come before You with praise, thanksgiving, adoration, and love, I thank You for Your precious Son Jesus Christ, and for the sacrifice He made for me on the cross. I proclim my allegiance to His name. Through the supernatural power of His Spirit, He enables me to live a life worthy of His calling. I share in His divine nature and make every effort to apply His benefits promised to me. My faith in Jesus Christ will produce a moral benefit, and only He can further my witness equipping me with everything I need to fulfil His purpose and plans for my life. I come boldly to Throne of Grace and commit and commend my life to God, in the precious name of Jesus Christ, and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Vision Came to Pass

Habakkuk 2:3 NLT Then the Lord said to me, “Write My answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others. The vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.

When the Lord brought these words into my life in March 1989, and told me He wanted me to write a book, I laughed and thought He had gone crazy, as I did not have any qualification to do a task like this. But nevertheless I never doubted He would do as He had said. My husband bought me a  ‘Word Processor’, and for me this was the confirmation I needed to do what God commanded me to do.
Through many years of prayer, I kept asking God what He wanted me to write about? I leaned and depended upon the Holy Spirit of God, to give me wisdom, guidance and instruction and how this book was to be written. It took me many years but I meditated upon the Word of God, (Habakkuk 2:2-3), and these words continued to encourage me with God’s help the book would be written. This was important to me, never to give up no matter how long it would take me to do this task. I was not going to be disobedient to God, but I was going to walk in obedience to Him.
Through the Scriputues I could see how God had helped other godly men/women doing tasks they thought they couldn’t do, and thought if God could help them do the task He had asked them to do, then also He would help me write a book.
He anointed, empowered, and gave me confidence with the Holy Spirit of God’s help, the book was written and completed. ‘A House Of Prayer – Daily Devotional’ was published in November 2012.
I had waited 23 years for the vision to come to pass.  God’s Word, was certain and true and He did not fail me. I gave thanks, praise, adoration, and love in the precious name of Jesus Christ, His Words had come to pass.

Prayer

Father God,how grateful and thankful I am to You, I trusted You to help me do what You called me to do, and You did not let me down. I thank You for all the help You gave to me through the Holy Spirit of God, so that Your name could be glorified and exalted in the precious name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Remarkable Secrets

Jeremiah 33:2-3 NLT “This is what the Lord says – the Lord who made the earth, and formed and established it, whose name is the Lord: Ask Me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about the things to come.”

God assures me that I only have to ask God and God would answer me. At times it is not easy to wait for the answers to come from God. Yet, God is ready to answer my prayers, but I must ask for His assistance. Sometimes, I forget to do this. Surely God could take care of my needs without me asking, I ask myself. Then I remember when I ask God, I am acknowledging that He alone is God and I cannot accomplish anything in my own strength or will, everything is His domain to do. When I ask I must humble myself, lay aside my willfulness and worry, and be determined to obey Him, which is what I want to do more than anything else I want to be obedient to God.

Prayer

Dear Lord Jesus, You have said, “You will answer my prayers and tell me remarkable secrets I do not yet know, the things to come.” I praise and thank You for assisting me and giving me the assurance all will come to pass at You appointed time. What I do know is You will be faithful and true to me. I must remember to include You in each decision I make, and acknowledge that You alone are God and I cannot accomplish anything in my own will and strength, as I recognsie everything is Your domain to do. I praise and thank You that I can rely upon, depend upon, and lean upon the Holy Spirit of God, who prays with me in accordance to the will of God, in the name of Jesus Christ my precious Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Remain Faithful

2 Timothy 3:14-15 NLT But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you. You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus.

  • God Spirit, has taught me everything I know. He from the moment I gave my life to Jesus Christ, began to teach me the Scriptures and how to understand the Word of God, and how to pray. I have learnt how to discern who the false teachers are; and not abandon my faith or modified the doctrine I have been taught. I have looked to the past and hold onto the basic teachings about Jesus, that are eternally true. I am surrounded by false teachings. But I must not allow our society to distort or crowd out God’s eternal truth. I spend time every day reflecting on the foundation of my Christian faith, and have found in God’s Word, the great truths that build up my life in the glory of Jesus Christ, and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God.

  • Prayer

  • Lord Jesus, thank You for the things You are teaching me through the Holy Spirit of God. He has taught me the truth, and I know I can trust Him who has taught me. He has taught me the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given me the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus. How grateful and thankful I am to You, for the truth of the Gospel of Christ Jesus. He has set me free from all the strongholds and freeholds, the grip of Satan (my enemy; now I am free to worship, adore, love, exalt, and glorify my God forevermore, in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen
