‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – I Give Thanks to God

Psalm 100 NLT Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth! Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before Him, singing with joy. Acknowledge that the Lord is God! He made us and we are His. We are His people the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving, go into His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and His faithfulness continues to each generation.

The day I acknowledged that Jesus was God, and He came to live within my heart, my life has been changed radically. I shout out my praises to Him, and appreciate everything He did for me on the Cross of Calvary. He paid all my sin debts in full and He paid the price and penalty for all my sins. When I think of all the millions of people that are in the world, Jesus, loved me so much He sent someone into the hospital to find me. It still blows my mind away even to this present day. He loved me enough that He was not going to let me go and continue to live my life in sin.

Jesus, over the years has broken all the chains of darkness upon my life and He set me free from sin, the world and everything in it. The moment I heard that still small voice in my heart in the early hours of  Sunday morning, God was saying to me, “Avril, everything that has been wrong in your life, I the Lord Your God, will put everything right,” I knew my life would never be the same again. I had the assurance things were about to change and as I left the hospital my heart was bubbling over with excitement, love, joy, and peace and the heaviness I had in my heart before I went into the hospital was now all gone.

Prayer

Lord, I sing praises to Your precious and holy name. I shout for joy for all You have done for me. I worship You in beauty of Your holiness godliness, and righteousness. I enter Your gates with thanksgiving, praise, adoration, and love. For whom have I in heaven but You, O Lord, and earth has nothing I desire besides You. Thank You for sending Your Holy Spirit to help and comfort me and to seal me with Your presence and glory. I am Your child and You will never leave me nor forsake me as I trust in You O God.  I commit and commend this prayer to You in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Life of Integrity

Psalm 101:1-3 NLT I will sing of Your love and justice Lord. I will praise You with songs. I will be careful to live a blameless life – when will You come to help me? I will lead a life of integrity in my own home. I will refuse to look at anything vile and vulgar. I hate all who deal crookedly; I will have nothing to do with them.

When I became a Christian, I made the decision that I wanted nothing to do with anything that would dishonour the name of Jesus Christ. In my own home my husband as far as I know has not committed His life to God, but daily I pray for him and my whole household.  The Holy Spirit of God, will convict my husband and family of sin when He is ready to do so. It is not my place to convict anyone of sin, but the most important thing I must do is pray for them. I ask the Holy Spirit of God, to touch them with His grace, mercy, and love. He knows His children by name, so it is my place to pray that they too will know the glory of God’s Kingdom and name.

It has been so hard at times for me, but through all my trials and tribulations I have never given up on God, or given up on my family. I will continue to praise and thank God for everything He is doing in my life and also in the lives of those whom I love. I try to be careful to live a blameless life- and know without God’s help I can do nothing. I try to avoid anything that is evil and keep my eyes and mind focused on Jesus Christ, continually asking Him for the supernatural power of His Holy Spirit for all the help I need. He will enable and empower me  to live a life that is pleasing and acceptable to Him. As God changes me I pray God will change my family also, and one day we will be untied joined together in the three cord fold that cannot be easily broken in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Prayer

Father God, I want to praise and thank You for everything You are doing in my family and my life. I cannot tell You how grateful and thankful I am to You for Your grace, mercy, and love. I thank You for the joy of Your Salvation You have given to me. I also pray You will give Your Salvation to my family and friends throughout the world. I ask You to rescue and save them as You rescued and saved me for the glory, praise, and honour of Your name. I come to You in the name of Jesus Christ and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God and I commit and commend this prayer to You. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Unfailing Love

Psalm 143:8 NLT Let me hear of Your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting You. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to You.

Genesis 28:15 NLT What’s more, I am with you, and I will protect you wherever you go. One day I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have given you everything I have promised you.

I listen to God each morning, for I know His unfailing love is with me. I trust He will show me where He wants me to walk. For He has promised me, “I will instruct you (says the Lord) and guide you along the best pathway for your life; I will advice you and watch your progress. (Psalm 32:8 TLB).

God has made this covenant promise with me, and I trust He will do what He has said. I may not know where I am going, but I am assured He knows where He wants me to be. This is when I have to walk by faith and not by sight, trusting, God through Jesus Christ and through the Holy  Spirit of God, is a hard thing to do. But when you see the history of what God has done with godly men/women iin the Bible, you begin to understand what He did for them He surely will do for you as long it’s part of His plans.

This is where true faith comes to the forefront even when you cannot see physically what God is doing are you going to trust Him? I have seen what God has continually done for me and continues to do for me, He has never let me down and at His appointed time His Word has come to pass. Depending, leaning, relying upon the Holy Spirit of God in the name of Jesus Christ, through prayer and studying God’s Word, mediating upon God’s Word has strengthened me, and given me the confidence I need to live my life in faith.

Prayer

Gracious and loving God, I praise and thank You for everything You have done and are doing in my life. Thank You for sending Your Holy Spirit into my life, bringing Your truth to life within my heart, mind, body, spirit, and soul. I trust You will work out Your plans You have ordained for my life and I have the assurance Your plans will come to pass at Your appointed time. In the precious name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Righteousness and Peace

Psalm 85:9-13 NLT Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him, so our land will be filled with His glory. Unfailing love and truth have met together. Righteousness and peace have kissed! Truth springs up from the earth, and righteousness smiles down from heaven . Yes, the Lord pours down His blessings. Our land will yield it bountiful harvest. Righteousness goes as a herald before Him, preparing the way for His steps.

I know my salvation has come from God, and know He loves me, I also love Him with all my heart, mind, body, spirit, and soul. I cannot thank Him enough for rescuing and saving me from the darkness of this world. He has filled my land with His glory, and no matter where I am and what I am doing, I know His presence is with me wherever I go.

God has revived me, and has brought me back to a spiritual life. The deeper I go with God, the more He fills me with His righteousness and peace. I seek God’s righteousness and His kingdom as Jesus pointed out, the more I do this then the more God will reveal that He is taking care everything else.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing the truth into my life, through Your precious Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank You for sending the Holy Spirit of God, to place a seal of ownership upon my life which can never be broken. Thank You I am a child of God, and You are my precious Saviour and Redeemer. Thank You I receive all of Your blessings and a  bountiful harvest of Your love and peace. I seek Your righteousness and Your kingdom, as Jesus pointed out to me, the the more I do this then the more God will reveal that He is taking care of everything else for me in Jesus name. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Unfailing Love

Psalm 13:5-6 NLT But I trust in Your unfailing love. I will rejoice because You have rescued me. I will sing to the Lord because He is good to me.

Sometimes, I feel God is slow to act on my behalf. Even, though many times I have felt like this I have not allowed my feelings and emotions to get in the way of my love and faith in God. I continue to trust God no matter how long I have to wait for God’s justice to be realised. When I become impatient, I remember God steadfastness, and ask Him to increase my  faith and love for Him.  When I have felt the pressure of my problems I have never given up or given in to my emotions, feelings, and despair, however I cling to Jesus Christ, and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit, He gives me the faith and strength and courage to carry on enabling and empowering to continually trust Him no matter what my circumstances may look like in the world.

Prayer

Gracious and loving God, I praise and thank You for given me Your unfailing love. I will rejoice in You because You have rescued me. I will sing praises to You my Lord and God, because You have always been good to me, even when I have not deserved it. I relinquish and yield all my emotions, feelings, and despair to You in the name of  Jesus Christ my precious Lord. I  ask You to increase me in my faith, love, confidence, and trust, enabling and empowering through the Holy Spirit of God, to live my life in the honour, glory, and praise of His holy and precious name. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – I Wait Quietly Before God

Psalm 62:5-6 NLT Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in Him. He alone is my Rock and my Salvation, my Fortress where I will not be shaken.

My hope is in continually in God. I wait quietly before Him, He is my hope, my rock and my salvation, my fortress in whom I trust and I will not be shaken. I confess my feelings and emotions to God. My prayers to God, has been built upon my faith and trust in HIm. He has released me from all emotional stress. Trusting God to be my rock, salvation, and fortress has changed my entire outlook in my life. No longer must I be held captive by resentment towards others when they have hurt me. When I rest in God’s loving strength and feel His arms circled around me, nothing can shake me. I may think such people are “lighter than a breath of air.”

What then can tilt the scales when God weighs me? Trusting God is working within me and for me. Wealth, honour, power, or prestige add nothing to my value in God’s eyes; only the faithful work I do for Him has eternal value.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I wait quietly before You, for my hope is in You all day long. You alone are my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken. I praise and thank You for always being beside me and helping me overcome all my feelings and emotions. You alone are the One I trust. My love, confidence, faith, trust completely belong to You in the precious and holy name of Jesus Christ my precious Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Do Not Be Afriad

Deuteronomy 31:6 NLT So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.

God has made me strong and courageous! From being frightened and feeling insecure before I knew God personally, God has changed me and given me the confidence, strength, faith, and the security I needed to follow Him. Now, I am bold and courageous not alone anymore. Having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, has changed me and in my ways of thinking. He is my confidence and strength an ever present help in all my times of trouble. Now, I can do anything through Christ Jesus, who strengthens me.

God has never forced His will upon me, He lets me decide whether I want to follow Him or not. Daily, He guides and leads me and goes ahead of me to show me the way He has prepared for me to walk. To fulfill God’s purposes and will for my life, I need the content and substance of His Word written deep upon my heart and mind, this gives me the confidence, strength and courage to go forth in His precious and holy name. He makes sure I do not fail nor does He abandon me in whatever the task He has asked me to do. In God’s supernatural power He has filled me full with the presence and power of His Holy Spirit, and He enables and empowers me to have His assurance that I will never be alone ever again.

Prayer

Father, thank You that You have made me strong, bold, and courageous in Jesus Christ my precious Lord. I have no need to be afraid anymore, for You guide and lead me in Your perfect will and You guide me along the best pathway for my life. I am ever grateful and thankful to You for the relationship we have together, this has given me the faith and sercurity I needed to live my life for the glory, honour, praise, in the name of Jesus Christ, and through the presence and supernatural power of Your Holy Spirit, You have enabled and empowered me to fulfill the purposes of Your plans for my life to glorify, magnify, and to lift up Your name in praise and thanksgiving for everything You have done for me in the precious name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Preserve the Teachings of God

Isaiah 8:16-18 NLT Preserve the teaching of God; entrust His instructions to those who follow Me. I will wait for the Lord, who has turned away from the descendants of Jacob. I wil put my hope in Him. I and the children of the Lord has given me serve as signs and warnings to Israel from the Lord of Heaven’s Armies who dwells in His Temple on Mount Zion.

I faithfully preserved the teachings of God and passed on these words from generation to generation, I have the book of Isaiah today. I have the responsibility to pass on God’s Word to my children and grandchildren, encouraging them to love the Bible, read it, and learn from it. Then they will faithfully pass it on to their children and grandchildren.

Sometimes, it has been difficult for me as a believer, I have had to be patient waiting for God and this is the most difficult testing I must face, waiting for illness to pass, for a child to return to God and the church, or for God to make matters right in a particular situation. I know many of the prophecies God has given me through the prophets have come true, but  sometimes what the prophets have said still haven’t been fulfilled as yet, I am prepared to wait and accept the Lord’s timing not mine.

Prayer

Lord of Heaven’s Armies, You who dwell in Your Temple in Mount Zion, I come before You today, I offer You my body as a living sacrifice pleasing and acceptable to God. I bring You sacrifices of praise and thanksgiving, and turn my life over to God completely. I ask You to have Your perfect will in my life, and I will preserve Your teachings; I entrust Your instruction to those who follow You. I will wait for Lord, to do what He wants to do even though at times this is a difficult thing for me to do. I put my hope in You. I am waiting upon You to act and to accomplish everything You have promised to do at Your appointed time, in Jesus precious and holy name. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God Guides Me

Psalm 25:4-5 NLT Show me the right path, O Lord, point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by Your truth and teach me, for You are my God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in You.

I asked Father God, for guidance and to lead me along the best pathway for my life. I believe I have received God’s guidance in faith. He shows me He is guiding and leading me through the Word of God. This is where I gain my knowledge and understanding from. By reading the Bible constantly I learn from it, I have gained the wisdom to perceive God’s direction for my life. I cannot demand any answers from God, but I can ask for direction. When I am willing to seek God, learn from His Word, and obey His commands, this is when I receive His specific guidance for my life and I put my hope in Him.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for showing me the right path, and pointing out the road You want me to follow. Continue to lead me by Your truth and teach me, for You are my God who has saved me in the name of Jesus Christ and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. All day long I put my hope, faith, trust, in You and I will willingly walk in submission and obedience to Thee in the precious name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Promises Come True

Joshua 23:14 NLT Soon I will die, going the way of everything on earth. Deep in your hearts you know that every promise of the Lord your God has come true. Not a single one has failed.

God had a plan and a purpose for the nation of Israel, and through his power and mercy he ensured that these plans succeeded. In the same way, God has a purpose for your life, and while you may fail, he will not. Take the opportunity today to submit your heart to his will. Know that not one good thing that God has planned for you will fail.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, You have a plan for each of Your children on the earth. I am one of those children, and I know Your plans and promises will come true, and they will succeed over my life. I may fail in what I do, but I know You will not fail in what You want to do for me.

Today, I take the opportunity and I submit, surrender, relinquish, and yield my heart to Your perfect will. I seek to be in the centre of Your will in the name of Jesus Christ.  I know that not one good thing You have planned for me will fail. I praise and bless You forever and always in the name of Jesus Christ my precious Lord, and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God I will walk in obedience to God. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Light and Truth

Psalm 43:3-4 NLT Send out Your light and truth; let them guide me. Let them lead me to Your holy mountain, to the place where You live. There I will go to the altar of God – the Source of all my joy. I will praise You with my harp, O God, my God!

I go to God each day and ask Him to send His light and truth; to guide and lead me to the places He wants me to be in. God’s truth provides for me the right path He wants me to follow, and God’s light provides the clear vision I am to follow. When I feel surrounded by darkness and uncertainty, this is when I seek the face of God’s light and truth more and more. I know He will guide and lead me for He is the only God I desire to be with, I will not recognise any other God but Him. With all of my heart, mind, body, spirit, and soul, I lean upon, depend upon, and rely upon the Holy Spirit of God, in the name of  Jesus Christ, for He is the Light of the World and only He is worthy to be praised adored and loved.

Prayer

O my precious God, send out Your light and truth; let them guide and lead me to Your holy mountain, to the place where You live. There I will go to the altar of God – the Source of all my joy. I will praise, adore, and love You with my whole heart, mind, body, spirit, and soul. Only You are worthy to be praised, adored, and loved, forever in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord, and in  the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God, I give thanks. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Obedience to God

Proverbs 31:25 NLT She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.

The Lord has been my strength all the way through my life, even when I did not have a personal relationship with Him, as I do now. I look back through my life, and I can see His hands has always been upon me. He has watched over me and taken care of me, and I find this quite amazing.

He has taught me how to be an excellent wife and mother to my husband and child. Instead of me being rebellious towards my husband, the Lord my God has changed my attitudes, habits, and will. He challenged me one day when He said to me, “Avril, if you cannot obey your husband, then you cannot obey Me”. I nearly choked when I heard God say these words to me. From the moment I heard those words from God, I vowed to God, I would win my husband to Him through my obedience to Him in the name of Jesus Christ. I am still waiting on God to do this for me, but because I was willing to change from what I was with my husband previously, Jesus Christ, has been working His supernatural power within me, and within him, and is changing his life and my life daily.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I praise and thank You for all your faithfulness You have given to me. I lift up Your name and glorify, magnify, and exalt Your name forever more. No matter how hard the task is for me, I know Your ever present help is with me day by day. I thank and praise You for the strength and courage You have given to me in my life. I want You to know I appreciate everything You are doing for me in the precious name of Jesus Christ and in the supernatural power of the Holy  Spirit of God. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Chosen Ones

Isaiah 41:9-10 NLT For I have chosen you and will not throw you away. Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with My victorious right hand.

I am so grateful and thankful that God chose me even though I do not deserve Him. He has chosen me to represent Him to the world, and with His help I will not fail to do this, I never want to be in captivity again. Nor do I wish to walk in darkness ever again. Every believer has been chosen by God and everyone of us share the responsibility of representing Him to the world. One day all of God’s faithful people will be together again this is something we most certainly can look forward too. There is no need to fear because: (1) God is with us, (“I am with you”); (2) God has established a relationship with us (“I am Your God”); and (3) God gives us assurance of His strength, help, and victory over sin and death. Are you aware of all the ways God has helped you?

Prayer

Gracious and loving Father, I praise, adore, and love You for the rest of my life on the earth. I can never thank and praise You enough for all the goodness You have showed towards me. I am so grateful and thankful You chose me to be Your precious child and You enable me and empower me to represent You to the world. I thank You for Your Son the Lord Jesus Christ, and I thank You for the Helper the Holy Spirit of God, who helps me and teaches me what You want me to do for the glory of Your Kingdom and name. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Sacrifice of Praise

Hebrews 13:15-16 NLT Therefore, let us offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to His name. And don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God.

Ever since I have known the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, with my lips I confess God’s name in praise. I praise God and give Him my time before the rush of the day begins. It is so important for me to set a time and place so that I can meet with God and give Him my full attention. I incude Him with whatever is going on in my life, and ask Him for His divine wisdom, knowledge, guidance, and instructions in how He wants me to handle things.
I offer Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming my allegiance to His precious name. I include that I must thank Jesus Christ for His sacrifice on the cross and when given the opportunities, I tell others about what He has done for me, He also can do for them. Acts of kindness and sharing are particualarly pleasing to God, even when I go unnoticed by others I still spread the Good News of the Gospel of Christ.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I come before You with praise, thanksgiving, adoration, and love, I thank You for Your precious Son Jesus Christ, and for the sacrifice He made for me on the cross. I proclim my allegiance to His name. Through the supernatural power of His Spirit, He enables me to live a life worthy of His calling. I share in His divine nature and make every effort to apply His benefits promised to me. My faith in Jesus Christ will produce a moral benefit, and only He can further my witness equipping me with everything I need to fulfil His purpose and plans for my life. I come boldly to Throne of Grace and commit and commend my life to God, in the precious name of Jesus Christ, and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Vision Came to Pass

Habakkuk 2:3 NLT Then the Lord said to me, “Write My answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others. The vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.

When the Lord brought these words into my life in March 1989, and told me He wanted me to write a book, I laughed and thought He had gone crazy, as I did not have any qualification to do a task like this. But nevertheless I never doubted He would do as He had said. My husband bought me a  ‘Word Processor’, and for me this was the confirmation I needed to do what God commanded me to do.
Through many years of prayer, I kept asking God what He wanted me to write about? I leaned and depended upon the Holy Spirit of God, to give me wisdom, guidance and instruction and how this book was to be written. It took me many years but I meditated upon the Word of God, (Habakkuk 2:2-3), and these words continued to encourage me with God’s help the book would be written. This was important to me, never to give up no matter how long it would take me to do this task. I was not going to be disobedient to God, but I was going to walk in obedience to Him.
Through the Scriputues I could see how God had helped other godly men/women doing tasks they thought they couldn’t do, and thought if God could help them do the task He had asked them to do, then also He would help me write a book.
He anointed, empowered, and gave me confidence with the Holy Spirit of God’s help, the book was written and completed. ‘A House Of Prayer – Daily Devotional’ was published in November 2012.
I had waited 23 years for the vision to come to pass.  God’s Word, was certain and true and He did not fail me. I gave thanks, praise, adoration, and love in the precious name of Jesus Christ, His Words had come to pass.

Prayer

Father God,how grateful and thankful I am to You, I trusted You to help me do what You called me to do, and You did not let me down. I thank You for all the help You gave to me through the Holy Spirit of God, so that Your name could be glorified and exalted in the precious name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Remarkable Secrets

Jeremiah 33:2-3 NLT “This is what the Lord says – the Lord who made the earth, and formed and established it, whose name is the Lord: Ask Me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about the things to come.”

God assures me that I only have to ask God and God would answer me. At times it is not easy to wait for the answers to come from God. Yet, God is ready to answer my prayers, but I must ask for His assistance. Sometimes, I forget to do this. Surely God could take care of my needs without me asking, I ask myself. Then I remember when I ask God, I am acknowledging that He alone is God and I cannot accomplish anything in my own strength or will, everything is His domain to do. When I ask I must humble myself, lay aside my willfulness and worry, and be determined to obey Him, which is what I want to do more than anything else I want to be obedient to God.

Prayer

Dear Lord Jesus, You have said, “You will answer my prayers and tell me remarkable secrets I do not yet know, the things to come.” I praise and thank You for assisting me and giving me the assurance all will come to pass at You appointed time. What I do know is You will be faithful and true to me. I must remember to include You in each decision I make, and acknowledge that You alone are God and I cannot accomplish anything in my own will and strength, as I recognsie everything is Your domain to do. I praise and thank You that I can rely upon, depend upon, and lean upon the Holy Spirit of God, who prays with me in accordance to the will of God, in the name of Jesus Christ my precious Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Remain Faithful

2 Timothy 3:14-15 NLT But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you. You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus.

  • God Spirit, has taught me everything I know. He from the moment I gave my life to Jesus Christ, began to teach me the Scriptures and how to understand the Word of God, and how to pray. I have learnt how to discern who the false teachers are; and not abandon my faith or modified the doctrine I have been taught. I have looked to the past and hold onto the basic teachings about Jesus, that are eternally true. I am surrounded by false teachings. But I must not allow our society to distort or crowd out God’s eternal truth. I spend time every day reflecting on the foundation of my Christian faith, and have found in God’s Word, the great truths that build up my life in the glory of Jesus Christ, and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God.

  • Prayer

  • Lord Jesus, thank You for the things You are teaching me through the Holy Spirit of God. He has taught me the truth, and I know I can trust Him who has taught me. He has taught me the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given me the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus. How grateful and thankful I am to You, for the truth of the Gospel of Christ Jesus. He has set me free from all the strongholds and freeholds, the grip of Satan (my enemy; now I am free to worship, adore, love, exalt, and glorify my God forevermore, in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Waiting on God

Psalm 62:5-7 NLT Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken. My victory and honour come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.

My faith and confidence is in God alone. Through the years walking with Him, I can honestly say, “No matter what trials I have had to go through, God has sustained me with His righteous right hand.” Sometimes, when He asks me to wait quietly before Him, at times it is a hard thing for me to do. My heart tells me I want to do things the way God wants me to do things, but then I find myself becoming impatient not waiting on God to act. The the Holy Spirit of God, reminds me of His teachings. I have learnt the lesson to continually praise God each day. I continually praise God through both the good and difficult times in my life. By praising God, I find my heart is elevated from daily distractions to lasting confidence.

Prayer

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Robe of Righteousness

Isaiah 61:10 NLT I am overwhelmed with joy in the Lord my God! For He has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me in a robe of righteousness.

I was so overwhelmed with joy, when I met with my Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ. I confessed my sins before God, in Jesus name and He set me free. He has filled me with His Holy Spirit, from the top of my head to the tips of my toes with His presence and glory. I am a new person and I belong to Jesus Christ my old life is gone; and a new life has begun! (2 Cornithians 5:17 NLT)
Now I have put on my new garments – He has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me in a robe of righteousness, I have made my peace with God and am in a right relationship with Him.
The Holy Spirit of God is producing the good fruits within my life, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things. My confidence and trust is built upon the Rock and Foundation of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, how grateful and thankful I am to You for rescuing me from the world and forgiving me all my sin. Now, I belong to You in Jesus Christ and my old life has gone; and a new life has begun.
Fill me full with the Spirit of God, and produce in me the good fruits of the Spirit. I receive love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness , gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things. I submit and surrender my life to God, in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord. He will guide and lead me into His perfect will as I follow Him.  Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – My Confidence Is In God’s Presence

Psalm 73:23-24,28 NLT You guide me with Your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny. Whom have I in heaven but You? I desire You more than anything on earth.
But as for me, how good it is to be near God! I have made the Sovereign Lord my shelter, and I will tell everyone about the wonderful things You do.

My confidence is in God’s presence and guidance. From birth to death, I am continually in God’s grip. But far more, I have the hope of the resurrection. Though my courage and strength may fail, I know that one day I will be raised to life to serve Him forever. He is my security, and I must cling to Him.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, my confidence is in Your presence and guidance. You guide me with Your Holy Spirit, leading me to a glorious destiny in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Whom have I in heaven but You? And earth has nothing I desire more than You. But as for me, how good it is to be near You, O God. I am continually in God’s grip. I have made the Sovereign Lord my shelter, and I will tell everyone about the wonderful things You do.
But far more, I have the hope of the resurrection. Though my courage and strength may fail, I know that one day I will be raised to life to serve the Lord Jesus Christ forever. He is my security, and I must cling to Him forever and always. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Search for the Lord

Psalm 105:4-6 NLT Search for the Lord and for His strength; continually seek Him. Remember the wonders He has performed, His miracles, and the rulings He has given, you children of His servant Abraham, your descendants of Jacob, His chosen ones.

I search for the Lord daily. I ask Him to guide and lead me into His perfect will. He is my strength, and ever present help in my times of trouble. Sometimes, He seems far away from me, this is when I become persistent to search for Him with all of my heart, mind, body, spirit, and soul.
I remember the wonders He has performed within my life, His miracles, and the rulings He has given to me. I remember the promises Jesus has made with me, I become more and more familiar with the way He has helped me, and I can see how He has helped people in the past as well. This has given me strength and courage. Godly people of the Old and New Testament, teaches me how God helped the men/women of the Bible, He also was willing to help me. Reading the Bible, records the history of God’s people. In searching its pages I have discovered a loving God who is waiting daily for me to find Him.

Prayer

Gracious Father, thank You for giving me the wisdom and strength to continually seek You with all of my heart, mind, body, spirit, and soul. I seek You daily. I ask You to guide and lead me through Your Holy Spirit, and grant me the advice to follow the best pathway for my life, in the name of Jesus Christ.
I am so grateful and thankful for the miracles and the rulings You have given to me. I remember the promises God made with His people in the Old and New Testament, and through His teachings, my obedience to Jesus Christ, will also give me His promises too. I am becoming more and more familiar with the way He has helped me. I praise, exalt, and glorify my awesome God, now and always in the precious name of Jesus Christ, and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God Keeps me. From Sinning

Exodus 20:20 NLT Don’t be afraid, “Moses answered them, “for God has come in this way to test you, and so that your fear of Him will keep you from sinning.”

I have learnt through the Holy Spirit of God, that I do not want to sin, but what I do want is to live a life that is holy, godly, righteous. When God test me, it is right that I should fear Him, because this fear keeps me from sinning. Through Scriptures, He has shown me His almighty power; so that I would know He is the true God; and therefore I would obey Him. I know when I walk a life of obedience, His power is available to me. God wants me to follow Him out of love rather than fear. To overcome this fear, I have had to think more about His love, for His perfect love expels all fear.

Prayer

Almighty and merciful God, I come before You with praise and thanksgiving for everything You have done for me, in the past, present, and for my future, Your plans for me will come to pass in the name of Jesus Christ my precious Lord. Thank You for my Helper, the Teacher, the Comforter, whom You sent to guide and lead me into all truth, through the wisdom of God. I am ever grateful for the teaching He is continually giving to me, as I search for His truth in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – You are My Inheritance

Psalm 16:5-8 NLT Lord You alone are my inheritance, my cup of blessing. You guard all that is mine. The land You have given me is a pleasant land. What a wonderful inheritance! I will bless the Lord who guides me; even at night my heart instructs me. I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for He is right beside me.

It has been my human nature to make my own plans and then I ask God to bless them. How wrong I have been. Instead, what I should have done is seek God’s will first. I constantly need to be thinking of the Lord and His way of living, then I will gain the insights that will help me make the right decisions and live the way God desires. Communicating with God allows Him to counsel me and give me wisdom.
I will not be shaken, as I have this unique sense of security because I am led by God. I don’t expect God to exempt me a believer from day-to-day circumstances of life. But, when I pray I do believe that He is listening, and He will guide me and instruct me into the best way to live my life. I can move ahead, knowing with a confident heart what is right in God’s eyes. I know that God will keep me from straying off His chosen path.

Prayer

Father God, You alone are my inheritance, my cup of blessing. You guard all that is mine. The land You are given to me is a pleasant land. What a wonderful inheritance I will receive. I will bless the Lord who guides me; even at night my heart instructs me. I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for He is right beside me, He holds me by His right hand. I thank Him that I can seek His will for my life, and follow His commandments always and forever more in the precious name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Do Not Be Afraid

Isaiah 41:10 NLT Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with My victorious right hand.

God chose me, I did not choose Him; even though I did not deserve it. He has chosen me to represent His Son Jesus Christ to the world, and at times this is a very hard thing for me to do, but God’s Word encourages me.
When I feel inadequate and feel unable to do what God commands me to do, I pray and seek God’s face and ask Him for wisdom, guidance, ecouragement, and strength. I wait upon Him to bring to my mind and heart the Scripture, I need to help me to walk in obedience to Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit of God, strenthens me and empowers me to act upon His Word to honour Jesus Christ precious name.
Now all believers are God’s chosen people, and all share the responsibility of representing Him to the world. One day God will bring all His faithful people together. I do not need to fear because: (1) God is with me (“I am with you”); (2) God has established a relationship with me (“I am Your God”); and (3) God gives me assurance of His strength, help, and victory over sin and death. I am aware of all the ways God has helped me, are you?

Prayer

Father God, thank You that I do not need to be afraid anymore. I know You are God and You are with me. I will not be discouraged, for You will strengthen me and help me. You will hold me up  with Your victorious right hand. I praise and thank You through the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God, and in the precious name of Jesus Christ, I will be obedient to God and bring the ‘Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ’, to the heart and core of Your people. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Fullness

Colossians 2:9-10 NLT For In Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through the union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.

When I met with Jesus Christ, I realised I did not need to seek God by means of other religions, cults, or unbiblical philosophies as the world does. Christ alone holds all the answers to the true meaning of life because He is life. Christ is the unique source of knowledge and power for the Christian life. I do not need anything in addition to what Christ has provided for me to be saved. Some days I may not feel like it, but Jesus, the vacuum is gone; the full power and presence of God has taken up residence in my mind and heart. I am a new person, equipped for life and satisfied in God.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, I do not need to seek God by means of religious cults or unbiblical philosophises, as others may be doing. Christ alone holds all the answers to the true meaning of life, because You are life. You are the unique source of knowledge and the power for the Christian life. You are in me, and You have given me Your life. This is all I need. You are the head over all principalities, dominions, and powers. You make me ready and equip me for any crisis or circumstance that may come. When I need anything, all I need to do is call upon Your name, and You will give me spiritual guidance and wisdom and lead me in the power of the Holy Spirit of God. When I need Your guidance, You will give me a very clear and present witness to lead me day or night. When enemies surround me, You will deliver me. Your means are sovereign and supernatural, and Your provisions are complete and sure. I can trust in the Lord, as the prophets before me did. He helped them, and He will also help me. Honour, glory, and praise are His alone. Amen
