New Blog Post: ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ’Choose God’s Ways’

Tell me where you want me to go and I will go there. May every fiber of my being unite in reverence to your name. (Psalm 86:11 TLB)
When we call out to God for His divine intervention, we can almost see, taste, and hear God’s response to our requests. Each of us faces thousands of small choices each day, choices that make up the fabric of daily life. We must align our choices with the instructions given to us by God’s Word, and when we align our lives with God’s will, we’ll receive His peace, His joy, His comfort. We must not struggle against God’s will, on the contrary; we must always walk in obedience and follow His will. I will instruct you (says the Lord) and guide you along the best pathway for your life; I will advise you and watch over your progress. (Psalm 32:8 TLB), what God has said, He will do, this is where we gain confidence and faith in God alone.
                                                              Prayer

Holy Spirit, thank You when I call out to You, for Your divine intervention, I can almost see, taste, and hear Your response to my requests. As I am faced with thousands of choices let  my choices align with Your perfect will. Your Word is where I receive my peace, joy, and comfort. I do not want to struggle against Your will, but on the contrary; want to walk in obedience to Your will. You will instruct me, and guide me along the best pathway for my life; You will advice me and watch over my progress. How grateful and thankful I am to You, O God; when I hear Your still, small voice whispering in my heart Your directions and choices for me to take daily, I give thanks and praise to You; in the name of Jesus. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘The Right Ways’

But when you do a kindness to someone, do it secretly—don’t tell your left hand what your right hand is doing. And your Father, who knows all secrets, will reward you.
(Matthew 6:3-4 TLB)

When Jesus says not to tell your left hand what your right hand is doing, He is teaching us that our motives for giving to God and to others must be pure. It is easy to give with mixed motives, to do something for someone if it benefits us in return. To be sure our motives are not selfish, we should do our good deeds quietly or in secret, with no thought of reward. Jesus says we should check our motives in three areas: generosity, prayer, and fasting. Those acts should not be self-centred but God-centred, done not to make us look good but to make God look good. The reward God promises is not material, and it is never given to those who seek it. We must ask ourselves would we still do these good deeds if no one would ever know about it?

                                                             Prayer

O my precious God, I rely upon the Holy Spirit of God, to show me the right way You want me to act. I desire my motives with others to be pure and in the centre of God's will. When I do something for others, let it be governed and controlled by the Holy Spirit of God, with Him showing me the right thing He wants me to do. Do not let me do anything in my own will and strength, let everything I do be in the strength of God, through the Holy Spirit of God; bringing all the glory, honour, and praise to God in the precious name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Good Deeds’

“Take care! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired, for then you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven.” When you give a gift to a beggar, don’t shout about it as the hypocrites do—blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I tell you in all earnestness, they have received all the reward they will ever get. (Matthew 6:1-2 TLB)

We must be careful how we do good deeds. We do not need to be admired by others, for then we will lose the reward from our Father in heaven. When we give to someone in need, we must do it secretly; and not do as the hypocrites do – blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! They performed their deeds with the intention of bringing glory to themselves rather than to God. Their reward was the praise of people. They will receive no reward from God. On the other hand, everything we do, we must do for the glory of Our Father and Jesus Christ. We should let others experience Jesus love, His kindness, and His mercy through us in the way we treat them. Without drawing attention to ourselves, give our help and encouragement. Give it without the expectation or hope of receiving anything in return. In doing so we will lay up treasures in heaven, where the true treasures are.

                                                                  Prayer

O my precious God, thank You for teaching me these lessons. I must be careful how I do good deeds for others, and when I do those good deeds, I must do it secretly with my Father. I lean, rely, depend upon the Holy Spirit of God, to show me how those deeds are to be done, through the almighty name of Jesus Christ. I bring all the glory, honour, praise, to God, though the name of Jesus. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Wounded By Others’

But I say: Don’t resist violence! If you are slapped on one cheek, turn the other too.
(Matthew 5:39 TLB)
When we are wounded and often wronged by others how do we handle it? Before I knew the Lord, I ranted and raged, was angry, rebelled and react to others completely in a wrong way. It has taken me many years to come to a place of peace. The Holy Spirit of God, has helped me beyond measure. He made me feel so uncomfortable within my spirit, heart, and soul when I stepped out of God’s will. Jesus said we should do good to those who have wronged us! It is quite hard and difficult to begin doing this, but as I prayed and asked God for wisdom, guidance and understanding, answers came to me as I read the Scriptures; God helped me to overcome the evil around me. Our desire should not be to keep score against others and what they have done to us, but through Jesus Christ; we must learn to love and forgive others. This is not natural – it is supernatural. Only God can give us the strength to love as He does. Instead of planning vengeance, it is always best to pray for those who hurt you. Those in the world will wound us in many ways. They will speak evil to you and about you. As Christ’s followers, we should respond to those who are hateful towards us in the same manner as Jesus did, not taking revenge or in any way return evil for evil. Forgive them. Pray for them and bless them. Let them see Jesus in you.

                                                           Prayer

Heavenly Father, I thank and praise and thank You through Jesus Christ, and in the power of the Holy Spirit of God; You have dealt with all the wounds I had before I knew You, and after I have known Your name. How grateful and thankful I am towards You, O God; for Your amazing grace, love, and mercy, You have shown towards me in the precious name of Jesus Christ. He has washed, cleansed, and purified me from all my sin by washing me I the Blood of Christ. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Faith Moves Mountains’

“Because of your little faith,” Jesus told them. “For if you had faith even as small as a tiny mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move!’ and it would go far away. Nothing would be impossible.”(Matthew 17:20 TLB)

I didn’t want to be an ordinary disciple. More than anything I wanted to be a disciple of Christ whose faith can move mountains. I asked God to grant me the mustard seed faith, in order to move mountains. A mustard seed is the tiniest seed imaginable, yet with Christ it has immense power. How amazing is that! I knew nothing was impossible for God to do. It was the power of God, plus my faith, that would move the mountains in me and also in the lives of others through prayer. Even though my faith needed to develop, I was determined nothing would stand in my way from me learning from God’s Spirit. I was in the Holy Spirit’s, ‘School of Teaching.’ I trusted in God’s power to act my faith. I examine my faith, making sure I am trusting God’s power, and not in my own ability to produce results.

                                                                Prayer

Holy Spirit, grant to me the faith of a mustard seed. I need this kind of faith to move mountains. I know nothing is impossible for God to do. With God's power and my faith, I will be able to move any mountain that stands in the way of God's will being done. I am vessel and instrument to be used for God’s glory, kingdom, and name. I have the true grit and determination that God’s will, will be done in my life and in the lives of others. I pray this prayer in the precious name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Prayer And Faith ‘

And we are sure of this, that He will listen to us whenever we ask Him for anything in line with His will. And if we really know He is listening when we talk to Him and make our requests, then we can be sure that He will answer us. (1 John 5:14-15 TLB)

The Holy Spirit of God, has emphasised here that it is God’s will that matters the most and not our own will. When we communicate with God, we do not need to demand what we want; rather we discuss with Him through prayer, what He wants for us. We must align our prayers to His will. We must continually ask Him for more faith, so that we can keep the faith He has given to us. This means our faith maybe increased within our hearts, minds, spirits, and souls; enabling us to believe through the Holy Spirit of God, what He wants us to learn and do, through Jesus Christ our Lord. This helps our faith muscles to grow, having confidence in Him, and not in ourselves. We see our prayer lives become stronger and our faith increased deeper. When we have confident faith to believe He will answer our requests, then we can be sure He will answer us.

                                                                  Prayer

Holy Spirit, thank You for helping me understand the importance of prayer and faith. Daily, I need to ask You for the help for my prayer and faith to grow. How grateful I am to You for everything You have already given to me. I can never praise, adore, and love You enough for the relationship I have with our Heavenly Father, His Son Jesus Christ; and the Holy Spirit of God. I bring to You all my praise and thanksgiving now and always in Jesus Christ’s precious name. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Love Your Enemies‘

But I say: Love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way you will be acting as true sons of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust too. (Matthew 4:44-45 TLB)

I feel it is really hard at times to love my enemies. Especially, when you know they are persecuting you. But this is what God wants us to do, act like we are true sons of God by praying for them. He shines His light into the darkness and gives us the light for the evil and the good, and then He sends rain on the just and on the unjust, through the Holy Spirit of God. He has called us to love those we might otherwise hate and those who hate us. We must recognise hatred and deal with this behaviour pattern. It makes us angry, judgmental, and cause us to have vengeful hearts. And we must never gossip about others, because this will damage their reputation, and this is a form of hatred too. God didn't come to earth to destroy lives but to save them. We must seek to require the characteristics and nature of Jesus Christ, trusting the Holy Spirit of God to help us, to remain in the purpose and will of God.

                                                               Prayer

Holy Spirit, thank You for teaching me to love my enemies! I pray for those who persecute me! Help me to receive the very nature of God, giving me His characteristics, nature and personality in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Without Christ I unable to do anything, but in Christ Jesus; I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. I praise and bless You for everything You are teaching me in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘A New Life‘

I say emphatically that anyone who listens to my message and believes in God who sent me has eternal life, and will never be damned for his sins, but has already passed out of death into life. (John 5:24 TLB)

When I became a Christian, my life changed radically. Jesus, had forgiven me all of my sins, and I knew He didn't hold anything against me any longer. Making my peace with God was the best thing I had ever done. I had such joy and happiness inside my heart, a love which I couldn’t contain. I had never felt anything like this love before. It was like my heart was on fire, it was bursting with love, joy, and happiness. I wanted to share this new found life I had with God, with everyone I met. I became a brand new person inside and out. A new life within me had begun. All the new things I was experiencing were from God. I believed in Jesus Christ, He is the Son of God; and now I was reconciled to Him through the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. He had adopted me as His child, and nothing would ever separate me from His love or life again.

                                                                          Prayer

Heavenly Father, how grateful and thankful we are for Your precious gift of life through Jesus Christ our precious Lord. We can never thank you enough for everything He has done for us. We praise and bless You now and always. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Eternal Gain‘

And anyone who gives up his home, brothers, sisters, father, mother, wife, [*] children, or property, to follow me, shall receive a hundred times as much in return, and shall have eternal life. (Matthew 19:29 TLB)

                                                             Prayer

Heavenly Father, I will give everything up for the Gospel of Christ. I will follow You, and I shall receive a hundred times as much in return, and I shall have eternal life.
My family and friends and neighbours have left me because I follow You, but I cannot live my life without You. Everything I have on earth is temporal, and everything I have gained is eternal life. I know that my momentary sacrifices are storing up treasures in heaven. This is not why I have made sacrifices. I am simply answering Your call to deny myself, take up my cross and be harnessed to You by following You. I have experienced the unsurpassed joy of knowing Christ Jesus intimately. So although I have given up everything, I sacrificed nothing – for my eternal gain is far greater than my temporal loss. My great reward is in the life in Jesus Christ and in heaven. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘God Changed Me‘

“I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.”
(John 10:11 TLB)

                                                                   Prayer

Heavenly Father, there have been times in my life when I have felt like a complete failure. It was only when I acknowledge my sin before You, my whole life began to change. Father, You have shown me what true love is. It is more than I ever could have imagined. You don’t love me because I have earned Your love. And You don’t stop loving me because I've earned Your disdain. You love me because of who You are through the Lord Jesus Christ and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. When I was dead in sin, having no hope whatsoever, You loved me with an indescribable love. You sent Your beloved Son to live and die for me. You could not unite with me because of my sin. But now, through my faith in Jesus Christ, I have exchanged my sin for Your righteousness. Because of Your atoning sacrifice, I have been cleansed and purified and clothed with Your righteousness. My worth is not based on what I have achieved or earned. It is established forever by Your love for me and proven by what You have done to give me gifts that are greater than any others – mercy, forgiveness, cleansing, and eternal life. You laid down Your life for me. This is how much You love me, and I am truly grateful and thankful for everything You have done for me through Jesus Christ my precious Lord, and through the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Entrusted To The Father‘

Everything has been entrusted to me by my Father. Only the Father knows the Son, and the Father is known only by the Son and by those to whom the Son reveals him.
(Matthew 11:27 TLB)

                                                               Prayer

Holy Spirit, everything in my life has been entrusted to Christ Jesus by our Father. Only the Father knows the Son, and the Father is known only by the Son and by those to whom the Son reveals Him. My Father’s ways are far above my ways as heaven is above earth. Jesus, You want me to know Our Father. I will stand in awe of His majesty and glory. I will shudder in amazement at His love, His righteousness, and His justice. Jesus, You don’t want me to merely to know about Him; You want me to know Him. I will look at You and Your behaviour. As I look to You, I will witness Our Father firsthand. I shall see the way He dealt with people, I will see His  dealings. Jesus, You did exactly what pleased Him. You lived Your life on earth through Him. I shall listen to His words. Every word I utter let it be at His command. Let His words – be perfectly expressed and let me act upon His words. As I do, Jesus, and the Father and the Holy Spirit of God, will come and make Their home within me. He will reveal the Father, and the Son to me and through the Holy Spirit of God, this will be my greatest joy in all my life forever and always in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Jesus Is The Good Shepherd‘

"I am the Good Shepherd." The Good Shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
(John 10:11 TLB)

                                                              Prayer

Holy Spirit, thank You for showing me; Jesus is the Good Shepherd who laid down His life for me. I am grateful and thankful to Him for this. My old sinful nature has been crucified with Christ Jesus, and it is I who no longer live; but Christ God who lives in me. This life that I now live in this body, I live by faith in the Son of God who loves me and who died for me. Today, I take up my cross and sword and follow Him and I will be harnessed to Him in everything I do. Being a true follower of Christ is so important to me. He alone can take me where no other Shepherd can lead me. He alone gives me the eternal life  and I shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch me out of His hand. He protects me through this life and He leads me safely into the next.
Only His sheep have His promise of living with Him forever in the kingdom of Our Father. He even today, intercedes for me on my behalf before the Father. My life today is merely the introduction to the life He has prepared for me. He and I have so much to accomplish during my brief time on the earth. I shall listen to His voice and follow Him. I shall praise, adore, love and worship Him now and forever more bringing all the praise and glory to God my Father, through Jesus Christ’s my precious name, and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Be A Peacemaker’

Happy are those who strive for peace—they shall be called the sons of God.
(Matthew 5:9 TLB)

                                                                Prayer

Father God, I shall be happy and I will strive for peace – I am called a daughter of God.
Father, in this world conflict defines humanity in it’s fallen state. Many are engaged in active conflict with the Father and His ways because they want to be god of their own lives. Being self-centred also keeps us in conflict with other people. When we are born-again, our nature changed.
Father God, it is You who rule over my life, and because of this the conflict I’d had, has now receded; because I willingly have yielded to the promptings of the Holy Spirit of God. My whole desire is to walk in complete submission, and obedience to obey the teachings of Christ. If I experience active or subtle conflict with others, it’s because I demand my way and judge or condemn others in their ways. Father God, You are  calling me out of the conflict. Father, You want me to be peacemaker, and enter into a greater peace with You, following and trusting You, so that Your peace does not end in me. It must flow out of my heart to others. Let me be an active peacemaker replacing criticism and gossip with love and encouragement. You made peace with me through Jesus, He took my punishment on the cross. Father, help me to influence others by becoming a peacemaker just like You, for the honour, praise, and glory of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen.
