‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Message

Colossians 1:26-27 NLT This message was kept secret for centuries and generations past, but now it has been revealed to God’s people. For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing His glory.

God’s message was kept secret from me for forty years. I had attended church but at the time did not understand it, because of my ignorance. I thought the Bible was a load of rubbish. How wrong I have been. I acknowledged Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour and Lord, and asked Him to forgive me all my sin, now I am a new creation, created in Christ Jesus unto good works; which God has before ordained I should walk ye in Him.
Living in God’s wonderful Light, has set me free from the darkness of this world. For the first time in forty years, I found peace with God. I received God’s promise, the Holy Spirit of God. He came and took up residence within my heart, He is my teacher, and He teaches me everything I need to learn. He fills me with His wisdom, knowledge, understanding, insight, revelation. He enables and empowers me to understand the plans God has made for my life.
I will instruct you (says the Lord) and guide you along the best pathway for your life; I will advice you and watch your progress (Psalm 32:8 TLB).
God’s secret plan is “Christ lives in me”- God planned to have His Son, Jesus Christ, live in the hearts of all who believe in Him. Do you know Christ? He is not hidden if you will come to Him.

Prayer

Almighty and merciful God, I praise and bless You for Your precious Son Jesus Christ, my Saviour and Lord. I thank You for saving and redeeming me and washing me in power of Jesus Christ’s Shed Blood. He has sanctified and consecrated me and set me free from the darkness of this world. I glorify, magnify, and surrender completely to Him now and forever more. I commit and commend this pray to You in His name. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Kingdom

Hebrews 12:28-29 NLT Since we are receiving a Kingdom that unshakeable, let us be thankful and please God by worshipping Him with holy fear and awe. For our God is a devouring fire.

There is five ways that I can be thankful to God. (1) I can be thankful that God answers my prayers. (2) I can be thankful for God’s provision for my needs. (3) I can be thankful for God’s blessings. (4) I can be thankful for God’s character and wondrous works. (5) I can be thankful for my brothers and sisters in Christ.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I am so thankful I have received a Kingdom that is unshakeable, I am so grateful and thankful to You for sending Your precious Son, Jesus Christ; who lives and dwells and reigns within my heart. I am so grateful and thankful to You for the presence of Your Holy Spiri, whose supernatural power helps me to honour, worship, magnify, glorify, and praise Your precious name. He teaches me how to worship You with holy fear and awe. I am so grateful and thankful to You that You answer my prayers. I am so grateful and thankful to You for providing everything I need to live a righteous, godly and holy life in Christ. I am so grateful and thankful to You for all of Your blessings You bestow upon me daily. I am so grateful and thankful to You for Your character and wondrous works You enable and empower me to see through Jesus Christ. I am so grateful and thankful to You for my brothers and sisters in Christ. I am so grateful and thankful to You that You enable and empower me to fellowship with them. I am so grateful and thankful to You, that I am able to commit and commend my prayers to You in the precious name of Jesus Christ and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God, with praise, adoration, and love. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Jesus is the Light of the World

Psalm 36:9 TLB For You are the Fountain of life; our light is from Your light.

Jesus is the fountain and the bread of life. We must go to Him when we are thirsty and hungry. Only Jesus can quench our thirst and hunger forever. He is the eternal life we have accepted. He also provides a glorious inheritance in Christ, which will be ours in the kingdom of heaven one day. We must ask God to flood our hearts with His pure light so we can understand the wonderful future He has in store for us. We need His wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to help us understand the future He has planned. We need the same mighty power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Learn He is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else in this world or in the world to come. God puts all things under the authority of Christ, which gives Him the authority over and for the benefit of the church. We must ask to be filled with the strong presence of Jesus Christ daily.

Prayer

Lord Jesus Christ, You have given me life by cleansing and purifying me and making me clean from all sin. Flood my body with the light of Jesus Christ, so I can understand the wonderful future You have promised me. Let me realize what a rich and glorious inheritance You are going to give to me. Grant me spiritual wisdom and understanding so I may grow deeper and further in the knowledge of God. Help me to begin to understand the incredible greatness of all Your power, because I do believe in You. It is that same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him in the place of honour at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. He is by far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else in this world or in the world to come. God has put all things under the authority of Jesus Christ by giving Him this authority over and for the benefit of the church. Fill me with the strong presence of Christ now and forever more. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – I Need God’s Strength

Isaiah 40:29-31 NLT He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired; and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

Even the strongest people get tired at times, but God’s power and strength never diminish. He is never too tired or too busy to help and listen to those who call upon His name. His strength is my Source of Strength. When I feel all of my life is crushing around me and I cannot go another step, I remember that I can call upon God at anytime and ask Him to renew my strength.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, without Your power I am weak and have no strength. I ask You to fill me with Your supernatural power through the Holy Spirit of God, and make me strong.
I am tired and exhausted from my trials, but once again I turn to You and trust You that I will find new strength in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord. He is my Source of Strength, and I lean, rely, depend upon Him, to enable, empower, and to energise me afresh and anew. I ask this prayer in Jesus Christ’s precious name. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Keeping Focused on Jesus

Hebrews 12:2 NLT We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting Him, He endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now He is seated in the place of honour beside God’s throne.

A Christian life involves hard work. It requires me to give up whatever endangers my relationship with God, to run with endurance and to struggle against sin with the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God helping me. For me to live effectively, I must keep my eyes on Jesus. If I stumble if I look away from Him to stare at myself or at the circumstances surrounding me. I should be running for Christ, not myself, and I must always keep Him in sight.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I ask You through the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God, to help me keep my eyes focused upon Jesus Christ. He is the champion who initiates and perfects my faith. I need Him to help me live a Christian life, this involves hard work. I give up whatever endangers my relationship with God, to run with endurance and ask Him to help me with my struggles against sin. For me to live effectively, I must keep my eyes on Jesus at all times. If I stumble if I look away from Him to stare at myself or at the circumstances surrounding me. I shall be running for Christ, not for myself, and I must always keep Him in my sight. I ask this prayer in the precious name of Jesus Christ my precious Lord and I commit and commend my life to Him. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God Teach Me How to Live

Psalm 27:11-14 NLT Teach me how to live, O Lord. Lead me along the right path, for my enemies are waiting for me. Do not let me fall into their hands, for they accuse me of things I’ve never done; with every breath they threaten me with violence. Yet I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living. Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.

I constantly know from my own experience what it means to wait for the Lord. Through my time of waiting, God has been teaching me through prayer and meditating on His Word,  how to deal with issues that needs to be dealt with in a righteous and godly way. Things that ordinarily would have crushed me, now I have been helped through the Holy Spirit of God, how to deal with these issues in a godly way. Waiting on God is not easy. Often at times it seems that He isn’t answering my prayers or doesn’t understand the urgency of my situation. Thinking like this implies that God is not in control or is not fair. I needed my mind-set to change.
The Holy Spirit has taught me waiting on God is worth waiting for. He has called me to hope in and wait for the Lord, because often God uses times of waiting to refresh, renew, and teach me. I must make good use of my waiting times by discovering what God may be trying to teach me in them.

Prayer

O Lord, teach me how You want me to live. Lead me along the best pathway for my life. Protect me from all my enemies. Protect me from there threats and violence. I am confident in You alone, and I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living. I will wait patiently for You, Lord, my hope and great expectations are in You alone. I will be bold, brave, and courageous as I wait patiently for You to act. I praise and worship You in the beauty of Your holiness, godliness, and righteousness in the precious name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God Be Merciful to Me

Psalm 86:3-7 NLT Be merciful to me, O Lord, for I am calling on You constantly. Give me happiness, O Lord, for I give myself to You. O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for Your help. Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord; hear my urgent cry. I will call to You whenever I’m in trouble, and You will answer me.

As I cry out for God’s intervention, I can almost see, taste, and hear God’s response to me. In God’s Word, these verses describe what God can do for me as I trust in His truth. I know in faith He will do this for me. This psalm illustrates that the greater the presence of righteousness (obedience to God), the clearer the examples of God’s blessings. This principle works equally in the life of a nation or an individual. I am learning the more I first seek God’s righteousness and His kingdom, as Jesus pointed out to me, the more I will see everything else will be taken care of by God.

Prayer

O my precious God, be merciful to me, for I am calling on You constantly. Give me happiness, O Lord, for I give myself completely to You. O Lord, You are so good, so ready to forgive me my sins and the sins of my forefathers and ancestors right back to third and forth generation. How grateful and thankful that I have a God who listens to me when I repent from everything that is contrary to Your Word. You are full of unfailing love for all who ask for Your help. Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord; hear my urgent cry. I cry out to You in my troubles and pain and ask You for Your protection and You will answer me. I acknowledge the greatness of God and wait for better days ahead. I am convicted that You, O God, will answer my prayer and You will sustain me in my difficult times, in the precious name of Jesus Christ my Lord, I ask this prayer. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – The Lord is Living Among Us

Zephaniah 3:17 NLT For the Lord Your God is living among you. He is a mighty saviour. He will take delight in you with gladness. With His love, He will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.

It is good to know the Lord Himself will remove His hand of judgment, disperse Israel’s enemies, and come to live among His people. He will give them gladness. Zephaniah points out that gladness results when we allow God to be with us. We do that faithfully following Him and obeying His commands. Then God rejoices over us with singing. If you want to be happy, draw close to the Source of happiness by obeying God.

Prayer

O Gracious God, how thankful and grateful I am to You. You are living within me. You are my Mighty Saviour. You will take delight in me with gladness. With Your love, You will calm all my fears. You will rejoice over me with joyful songs. I can never praise and thank You enough for Your precious Son Jesus Christ. He gave His life for me on the Cross of Calvary, forgiving me all of my sins. He sent His supernatural power of the Holy Spirit, who dwells and lives within me. He strengthens me daily enabling and empowering me, to live my life for the honour, glory, and praise of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Spirit Helps Me

Romans 8:26-27 NLT And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s will.

As a believer, we are not left alone to our own resources to cope with problems. Even when we don’t know the right words to pray, the Holy Spirit of God prays with and for us, and God answers. With God helping us pray, we don’t need to be afraid to come before Him. We must ask the Holy Spirit of God, to intercede for us in harmony with God’s own will. Then, when we bring our requests to God, trust that He will always do what is best.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, as a believer I know I am not left alone to my own resources to cope with problems. I praise and thank You for sending Your Holy Spirit, to dwell and abide within my heart, soul, and spirit. He knows the right words for me to pray, for He prays with me, and God answers me. With God, He helps me to pray, I don’t need to be afraid to come boldly before the throne of grace to Him. I must always ask the Holy Spirit to intercede for me in harmony with God’s own will. Then, when I do bring my requests to God, in the name of Jesus Christ my precious Lord, I trust He will always answer me and do what is best for me always and forever more. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God Proves His Servants

1 Kings 18:36-39 NLT O Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, prove today that You are God in Israel and that I am Your servant. Prove that I have done all this at Your command. O Lord, answer me! Answer me so these people will know that You, O Lord, are God and that You have brought them back to Yourself.
Immediately the fire of the Lord flashed down from heaven and burned up the young bull, the wood, the stones, and the dust. It even licked up all the water in the trench! And when all the people saw it, they fell face down on the ground and cried out, “The Lord – He is God! Yes, the Lord is God!”

God flashed fire from heaven for Elijah. He will also help us accomplish what He commands us to do. The proof may not be as dramatic, in our lives as in Elijah’s, but God will make resources available to us in creative ways to accomplish His purposes. He will give us the  wisdom to raise a family, the courage to take a stand for truth, or the means to provide help for someone in need. Like Elijah, we can have faith that whatever God commands us to do, He will provide what we need to carry it through.

Prayer

O my precious God, I believe You will prove You are God over all the world and that I am Your servant. Prove that the work I have done, all this at Your command. O Lord, answer me! Answer me so these people will know that You, O Lord, are God and that You have brought them back to Yourself. I praise and bless You always in the name of Jesus Christ and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Do Not Worry

Philippians 4:6-7 NLT Don’t worry about anything, instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Can you imagine never worrying about anything! It seems like an impossibility; we all have worries on the job, in our homes, at school. But Paul’s advice is to turn our worries into prayers. Do you want to worry less? Then pray more! Whenever you start to worry, stop and pray.
God’s peace is different from the world’s peace (see John 14:27). True peace is not found in positive thinking, in absence of conflict, or in good feelings. It comes from knowing that God is in control. Our citizenship in Christ’s Kingdom is sure, our destiny is set, and we can have victory over sin. Let God’s peace guard your heart against anxiety.

Prayer

Almighty and merciful God, thank You for showing me I do not need to worry about anything, instead, all I need to do is pray about everything. I will tell You what I need, and I will always thank You for everything You have done for me in the name of Jesus Christ. Thank You for filling me with Your Holy Spirit’s presence, He helps me to stay alert in prayer. I invite Him to empower my prayers with the Life of Jesus Christ, and He will grant me His peace and guard my mind and heart as I live for Him. I honour, glorify, magnify and exalt the Lord my God, for ever and always. I praise and thank Him for all the goodness He has bestowed upon me in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – A Glorious Destiny

Psalm 73:23-24 NLT  Yet I still belong to You, You hold my right hand. You guide me with Your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny.

I declare my confidence is in God’s presence and His guidance. From birth (72 years ago today), I am continually in God’s grip. But far more, I have the hope of the resurrection. Though my courage and strength may fail, I know that one day I will be raised to life to serve my precious Lord Jesus Christ forever. He is my security, and I must cling to Him. Whom have I in heaven but You, O Lord? And earth has nothing I desire more than You.

Prayer

O my precious God, I praise and thank You; for everything You have done for me, and thank You for my birth upon the earth 72 years ago.  I love You with all my heart, mind, body, spirit, and soul, and cannot praise and thank You enough for everything You are doing for me through Jesus Christ, my precious Lord.
Today, I declare my confidence is in Your presence and I belong to You. You hold me by my right hand. You guide me with Your counsel and You are leading me to a glorious destiny. How grateful and thankful I am to You O God, for all of Your love and faithfulness You have shown towards me. I dedicate and commit and commend my life to God, for the rest of my days until eternity. May I honour, and glorify Your name walking in obedience, yielding and submitting to Your precious name for ever and always in the name of Jesus Christ, and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God is My Teacher

Psalm 32:8 NLT The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advice you and watch over you.”

We must listen to what God is telling us and wait for Him come to us to instruct and teach us daily. Our God says we must not be anxious or troubled because He is in control of our lives. He shows us how to come face-to-face with our inadequacies, failures, and limitations. We all are prone to frustration and worry, and we experience anxiety but now do not need to carry these burdens any longer when God is willing to carry them. If God wants to keep us useful to Him, He may use discipline and punishment when he sees it is necessary. God longs to guide us with love and wisdom rather than punishment, and He offers to teach us and guide us to the best direction we should take. Accept the advice written in God’s word and do not let your stubbornness keep you from obeying God’s Word and reclaim who we are in God.

Prayer

O my beloved God, You will instruct and teach me in the way that I should go. You will counsel and watch over me. Father, You control and harness me with a bit and bridle enabling me to walk step by step with You. You teach me to come face-to-face with my inadequacies, failures, and limitations. I am prone to frustration, worry, and experience anxiety. Father, I turn all these burdens over to You. I now recognize I cannot control anything, because the world does not spin around me. I will concentrate on You and do what You have prepared for me in accordance with Your plans that You provide! You look within my heart, and You know what my full potential is and this is the most important thing to me. It does not matter what other people may think of me. Through You, I have overcome two obstacles, my family and the members of my church community who fail to recognize me. I reclaim who I am in God and who He says I am. Open my eyes Jesus and put someone in my life that will confirm what God has placed within me through Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen.

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – The Unveiling is Removed

2 Corinthians 3:18 NLT So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord – who is Spirit – makes us more and more like Him as we are changed into His glorious image.

The glory that the Spirit imparts to the believer is more excellent and last longer than the glory that Moses experienced. By gazing at the nature of God with unveiled minds, we can be more like Him. In the Good News, we see the truth about Christ, and it transforms us morally as we understand and and apply it. Through learning about Christ’s life, we can understand how wonderful God is and what He is really like. As our knowledge deepens, the Holy Spirit helps us to change. Becoming Christlike is a progressive experience (see Romans 8:29; Galatians 4:19. Philippians 3:21; 1 John 3:2). The more closely we follow Christ, the more we will be like Him.

Prayer

Father God, thank You for removing the veil from my eyes so, I can now see the glory of Jesus Christ, in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. He has brought the truth into my heart, enabling and empowering me to see He is the Lord – who is Spirit – makes me more and more like Him. I am being changed day by day, moment by moment; into His glorious image. I cannot express enough, how grateful and thankful I am to You for sending Your precious Son, to die for me a sinner on the Cross of Calvary. Through His glorious name He has set me free from all my sin, and washed and cleansed me in the supernatural power of His shed Blood. He has paid the price my sin, paying it in full. He was pierced for my transgressions, He was crushed for my iniquities, the punishment I should have had, He took upon Himself, and by His wounds and stripes I am forever healed in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I give Him all the glory, honour, praise, and thanksgiving now and forevermore. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God Has Given Me Talents

Jeremiah 7:2-3 NLT Go to the entrance of the Lord’s Temple and give this message to the people: ‘O Judah, listen to this message from the Lord! Listen to it, all of you who worship here! This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel says:”’Even now, if you quit your evil ways, I will let you stay in your own land.

We must ask God to find greater ways of using us with the abilities and talents to grow continually in God. God moves us from place to place, from situation to situation, from experience to experience to allow us to grow up so He can use us more effectively. We must be willing to yield to His methods and willing to change to the pace He sets for us. We really want God to birth the spiritual vision to glorify Jesus Christ. He will work out all things together for good in our lives in accordance to His will.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I ask You to find greater ways of using me with the abilities and talents to help me grow, in Jesus Christ my Lord. You move me from place to place, from situation to situation, from experience to experience to allow me to grow up, so You can use me more effectively. I willing surrender, relinquish and yield my life to God, through Jesus Christ, and to the Holy Spirit of God, to the methods You choose for me; and at the pace You have set for me. I really want You, O God, to birth the spiritual vision for my life, as You have  promised, to glorify, magnify, and exalt the Lord my God, through my witness and testimony, in the precious name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Promise

Genesis 28:15 NLT What’s more I am with you, and I will protect you wherever you go. One day I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have finished giving you everything I have promised.

God’s covenant promise to Abraham and Isaac was offered to Jacob as well. It was not enough to be Abraham’s grandson; Jacob had to establish his own personal relationship with God. God has no grandchildren, each person must have a personal relationship with Him. It is not enough to hear wonderful stories about Christians in your family. You need to become part of the story yourself.

Prayer

Gracious and loving Father, thank You that You are with me, and You will protect me wherever I go. I know one day You will bring me back to the land You have promised to me. You will not leave me until You have finished giving me everything You have promised me. I praise and thank You for the covenant promise You have made with me, in the glory of Jesus Christ’s precious name; and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit I pray. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – The Good News of Christ

Colossians 1:28-29 NLT So we tell others about Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given us. We want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ. That’s why I work and struggle so hard depending on Christ’s mighty power that works within me.

Christ’s message is to everyone, so everywhere I go I try to bring the Good News of Christ to all those who will listen. I need an effective presentation of the Good News, depending, leaning, and relying upon the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God, to help me bring the truth which includes warnings and teachings. The warning is that without Christ, people are doomed to eternal separation from God. The teaching is that salvation is available through faith in Jesus Christ. As Jesus Christ works in you, through the Holy Spirit of God, He enables us to tell others about Him, warning and teaching them in love. Whom do you know that needs to hear this message.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we praise and thank You for sending the Helper to live and abide within me, enabling and empowering me to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ, to the heart of Your people. Thank You for filling me in Your wisdom to help me to present others to Christ Jesus. Sometimes, I struggle so hard to reach out to Your people, but You have promised to  guide and lead me to the people You want to touch with Your presence and glory. Grant me the confidence and faith to help me to teach others and warning them in love. Without Christ, I can do nothing, but in Him I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. He helps me to help others as He has helped me. All the honour, praise, and glory are His now and forever more in the precious name of Jesus Christ our precious Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Great Riches

Romans 11:33-36 NLT  Oh how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand His decisions and His ways!
For who can know the Lord’s thoughts? Who knows enough to give Him advice? And who has given Him so much that He needs to pay it back?
For everything comes from Him and exists by His power and is intended for His glory. All glory to Him forever! Amen

The implications of these questions is that no one has fully understood the mind of the Lord. No one has been His counsellor. And God owes nothing to any one of us.
God alone is the possessor of absolute power and absolute wisdom. In the final analysis all of us should be absolutely dependant on God. He is the Source of all things, including ourselves. He is the power that sustains and rules the world that we live in. And God works out all things to bring glory to Himself. The all-powerful God deserves our praise.

Prayer

Almighty God, only You are worthy to be praised, adored, and loved. Oh how great are Your riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible for us to understand Your decisions and Your ways! For who can know the the thoughts of the Lord? Who knows enough to give You advice? And who has given You so much that You need to pay it back? For everything we have comes for You, Lord. For everything exists by Your power and is intended for Your glory. We praise and bless Your precious Son Jesus Christ, for rescuing and saving us by His divine love, grace, mercy, and faithfulness. We thank You for the supernatural power of Your Holy Spirit, who You sent to dwell and live in us when we accepted Jesus as our personal Saviour and Lord. The Holy Spirit, our Helper and Comforter has brought the truth deep into our hearts, minds, spirits, and souls and we cannot thank Him enough for everything He has taught us. We commit and commend this prayer to You, O God, for the glory, honour of Your name now and forevermore. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Jesus Prayed

Matthew 11:25-26 NLT At the time Jesus prayed this prayer: “O Father, Lord of heaven and earth thank You for hiding these things from those who think themselves wise and clever, and for revealing them to the childlike. Yes, Father, it pleased You to do it this way!

Our heavenly Father reveals to us who Jesus Christ is through the Holy Spirit of God. We must follow Jesus’ example and pray to the Father as He did. Jesus dedicated His whole life praying to our Father, and He did not do anything unless He consulted His Father first. We must also consult Him too. We find teachings we need through Scripture and in the supernatural power of the Spirit of God. We need to come to God with a childlike faith and trust Him to do things in His will and way. God has the authority over everything and has the authority over us.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for showing us how to pray through the Holy Spirit of God. Thank You that we can have faith in Your precious Son, Jesus Christ; to show us the Way, the Truth, and the Life. We praise and bless You for all Your teachings, and thank You for revealing to us in a childlike faith, how to lean, rely, depend upon the Holy Spirit of God to follow You in wisdom and faith, understanding Your ways are the only way we should walk in the name of Jesus  Christ. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God’s Promise and Oath

Hebrews 6: 18-19 NLT So, God has given both His promise and oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to Him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.

These two unchangeable things are God’s promise and His oath to us. God embodies all truth; therefore, He cannot lie. Because God is truth, we can be secure in His promises; we don’t need to wonder if He will change His plans. Our hope is immovable, anchored in God, just as a ship’s anchor holds firmly to the seabed. To the true seeker who comes to God to belief, God gives an unconditional promise of acceptance. When you ask God with openness, honesty, and sincerity to save you from your sins, He will do it. This truth should give you encouragement, assurance, and confidence.

Prayer

Father God, we praise and thank You for the promise and oath You have given to us. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for You, O God; to lie. Therefore, we have fled to You our refuge and strength and have this great confidence we hold onto, the hope that lies before us. This hope You have given to us, is strong and trustworthy an anchor for our souls. Thank You that it leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary, through Jesus Christ our precious Lord, and through the supernatural power of the Holy  Spirit of God. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Seek His Will

Proverbs 3:6 NLT Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.

It is has been good for me to seek God’s guidance in everything I do, before I do it.  This means turning every area of my life over to Him. I must examine my values and priorities and ask myself what is important to me? I ask the Holy Spirit of God, to show me the areas of my life I have not acknowledged Him in, then when He reveals those areas to me; it is up to me whether I choose to change and do things in the way God wants me too or not. I admit I have tried to avoid areas which I wanted to ignore, but this has caused me grief. I have learnt God is the most important part of my life; and now without question I want to walk in obedience to His sovereign will. He will guide and lead me to accomplish His purpose for my life and I am grateful and thankful to Him in Jesus Christ.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for showing me the errors of my ways. I want to change and be the person You created me to be in the name of Jesus Christ my precious Lord. Forgive me that I have not always followed You in the way You wanted me too. I am so grateful and thankful to You, for Your love and patience, and for waiting for me to grasp the lessons You wanted me to teach me. I seek Your will in all that I do, and I am thankful to You for showing me the path You want me to take. I glorify, magnify, and exalt Your name in the name of Jesus Christ, and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. Amen
