‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – You are with Me

Genesis 28:15 Living Bible (TLB) I am with you, and will protect you wherever you go, and will bring you back safely to this land; I will be with you constantly until I have finished giving you all I am promising.”

When we are struggling with something we believe God wants for our lives, and feel we cannot handle it; we must turn to God for the answers we need. Prayer, is the way we do this. Jesus is already waiting for us to come to Him. We must entrust all our fears to Him, He wants to know what is on our minds, He wants us to tell Him what is troubling us, so He can guide and lead us and set us free from the struggles we have. We must search for Him ask Him for His strength, to keep us on the path He has planned for us and not wander off from the plans He has made for each one of our lives. We must keep searching for Him with all our hearts, minds, body, spirits, and souls. We must believe in faith He is listening and He will answer the petitions we have given to Him through prayer then wait for His promise and answers to come pass.

Prayer

Jesus, I trust You with all of my heart, mind, body, spirit, and soul. I trust You will guide and lead me and protect me wherever I go, and You will bring me back safely to the land You are preparing for me to live. I know You have all my struggles and I believe You will answer my prayers I petition to You at Your appointed time. Grant me Your favour and grace to help me to wait upon You to work out the plans You have made for my life forever and always in Christ name I ask. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Walk In Obedience

2 John 1: 6 And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.

Prayer teaches us to walk in obedience with Christ. We must obey what God tells us to do even when some people may not understand what it is all about. Sometimes, people may feel our actions may seem peculiar but you must not worry about what anyone else thinks. What matters most is what God thinks. When you walk in obedience in Christ, you find more freedom will come into your life. We must move forward in obedience for our faith to grow.

Prayer

Father, You ask me to walk in obedience to Your Word, and I will willingly do what You ask me to do in the name of Jesus Christ. I will obey You even when some people may not understand what it is all about. You have taught me how to pray, and what to pray for through the supernatural power of Your Holy Spirit, so I will obey Him above all else. It doesn’t matter what man/women think about me, what matters most to me is what You think of me. I will move forward in obedience having my faith, trust, confidence built upon the Rock and Foundation of my precious Lord Jesus Christ. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – God will Guide Me

Iasiah 58:11 TLB  And the Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy you with all good things, and keep you healthy too; and you will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring.

The most important time of the day is when we spend time with God; it should be our highest priority. If we include God in our daily chores, He shows us how these chores become easier. As long as we give time to God, then He gives His time to us. It must be a two-way relationship of giving and taking. Having a relationship with Jesus becomes a partnership. He gives us His grace and favour. He fills us with His loving-kindness and mercy so this enables us to be kind and loving to others. Everything we need He provides, and those needs are met by Him. As long as we abide in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God, He will produce all of His good fruits within us.

Prayer

Father God, thank You that You will guide me continually and satisfy me with all good things, and keep me healthy too; and I will be like a well-watered garden, life and ever-flowing spring. It is so important to me that I acknowledge the Lord my God, before I begin my day. I must include Him in everything and let Him guide and lead me in the supernatural power of His Spirit, and I will glorify, magnify, that He alone is God and I will not worship anyone else but Him in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ - Listen to God’s Instructions

Proverbs 3:6-16 Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he's the one who will keep you on track.

It is so important to listen to God’s instructions. We need to learn the values, morals, and priorities by observing and behaving and reacting in the way God shows us in His teachings. We need to understand what is right, just, and fair. We need to be filled with wisdom and knowledge, and then our hearts will be filled with joy. We need to be wise so we are able to follow God’s plan and His plan will come to pass at His appointed time.

Prayer

Father, it is so important that I listen to Your voice in everything I do, everywhere I go; You are the One who will help me to reach the goals You have planned for my life and keep me on track. You have a set a timeline for me to follow. I must follow the direction and instruction of Your Holy Spirit, and He will guide and lead me confidently in His perfect plan. I trust You in confident faith I will reach all the goals You have made for my life, and at Your appointed time Your plans will come to pass. I praise and thank You now and always in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Be Obedient

Timothy 1:18-19 TLB Now, Timothy, my son, here is my command to you: Fight well in the Lord’s battles, just as the Lord told us through his prophets that you would. Cling tightly to your faith in Christ and always keep your conscience clear, doing what you know is right. For some people have disobeyed their consciences and have deliberately done what they knew was wrong. It isn’t surprising that soon they lost their faith in Christ after defying God like that.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, may You give me the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of You, having the eyes of my heart enlightened, that I may know what is the hope to which You have called me, what are the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints.  There is surely a future hope for me, and my hope will not be cut off. I praise and thank You that through Your precious Son Jesus Christ, You have enabled and empowered to live a life in submission, and obedience, depending and leaning upon the Holy Spirit of God.
I ask You to help me think Your thoughts and see things from Your perspective. You have created me into Your image so that I would have this amazing capacity. As I wait in Your Presence, You not only unscramble my thinking, You also straighten out my path throughout the day. You are Sovereign over every aspect of my life, so opening up the way before me is no problem for You. Some people think and don’t realise how much You can facilitate their activities – removing obstacles, giving insights that save time, and so on. Spending my time with You, Lord is so precious to me. I praise and glorify You through Your precious Son Jesus Christ and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in the Word of God’ - My Helper the Holy Spirit of God

“I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.” —John 14:16–17 NKJV

Prayer

Father, I ask Your Spirit to help me fix my gaze on You. I invite Him to alert me whenever I get overly focused on problems so I can redirect my attention to You. This is hard work, because it is not only unnatural but also counter cultural. Moreover, the evil one and his demons seek to distract me from Your Presence.
Jesus, through Your wisdom You have taught me how to overcome the enemies of my spirit and soul. My sins, such as disobedience, rebellion, unforgiveness, rejection and self-rejection, and many more are evil spirits, which I previously opened my heart too. Help me to overcome these forces of evil, through the Helper the Holy Spirit of God in the name of Jesus Christ; whose precious Blood was shed for my sins on the Cross of Calvary. I confess all my sins before You today. I lay all my sins down at Your feet, I agree with God, that I am wrong and need to be forgiven for everything I have done which is contrary to His Word and Will. Jesus. You came to set the captives free, please free me so that I am able to honour, worship, adore and love You for who You are the precious Son of God. I receive Your healing, love and forgiveness. I praise and thank You in the precious name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen.

‘Come nd Join Me in God’s Word’ - Listen to Jesus

Isaiah 46:3-4, 9:10 TLB Listen to me, all Israel who are left; I have created you and cared for you since you were born. I will be your God through all your lifetime, yes, even when your hair is white with age. I made you and I will care for you. I will carry you along and be your Savior. And don’t forget the many times I clearly told you what was going to happen in the future. For I am God—I only—and there is no other like me who can tell you what is going to happen. All I say will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish.

1 Samuel 10:6-7 TLB  “At that time the Spirit of the Lord will come mightily upon you and you will prophesy with them, and you will feel and act like a different person. From that time on your decisions should be based on whatever seems best under the circumstances, for the Lord will guide you.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, You teach us how to rely upon, depend upon, and lean upon You through the Holy Spirit of God. You have filled us with Your Spirit. You lead and guide us in Your strength so we do not rely upon our own strength anymore. You have created us into a new people, and we should be grateful to You for this. The Holy Spirit influences us as He gives us His power to do what God asks us to do, which produces other fruits of the Spirit’s work in us. Let us abide in Your Word by coming into Your presence and including You in our everyday life then. You will change us into Your glory and into Your image in Christ name I pray. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ - Forget the Former Things

Isaiah 43:18–19  “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.”

Prayer

Father, I remember and will never forget those wonderful days, when I first learned about Christ Jesus. I remember how I kept right on with You, Lord even though it meant terrible suffering for me. Sometimes, I was laughed at and sometimes I watched and sympathised with others suffering the same things. I lost many friends, those whom I loved but; I continued be joyful when everything I had was taken away from me, knowing that better things were awaiting me in heaven, things that would be mine forever. I will not let the happy trust in You, Lord die away, no matter what happens. I remember my reward! I will continue to keep patiently doing God’s will if I want Him to do for me all that He has promised. Your coming will not be delayed much longer. And those whose faith has made them good in God’s sight must live by faith, trusting Him in everything. I will not shrink back, because God will have no pleasure in me. But I will never turn my back on God as He has sealed my fate. No, my faith in Him assures my soul’s salvation. I will forget the former things before I knew Your name. I will not dwell on the past any longer, but go forth and I receive all the new things You are about to do in my life. I watch as they spring forth, now I perceive it. You, are making away in the desert and streams in the wasteland. In the precious and holy name of Jesus Christ, I give Him all the praise and thanksgiving now and always. Amen

‘Come and Join Me In God’s Word’ - A Relationship with God

Exodus 33:11 TLB Inside the Tent of Meeting, the Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend.

The most important friendship any one of us can have is a relationship with God. He speaks to those who listen to Him as He did with Moses. We certainly are not perfect, gifted, or powerful; rather it is because God has chosen us. God fills the gaps in our lives where we were empty and lost. He shows us our true worth, which we learnt when we met with the Lord Jesus Christ. Having confidence in Him tailors our lives, and He prepares us for each situation we find ourselves in here on earth. We are content and feel the fullness of Christ’s life in us. He renews our strength daily with His supernatural power. He energizes and empowers us with His presence from above.

Prayer

Gracious God, how greatful and thankful we can have a real relationship with You, through Your precious Son; Jesus Christ. This is the greatest relationship anyone of us can have. I am so grateful and thankful for the relationship I have with You in the name of Jesus Christ and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ - Go Directly to the Father

John 16:23-28  TLB At that time you won’t need to ask me for anything, for you can go directly to the Father and ask him, and he will give you what you ask for because you use my name. You haven’t tried this before, but begin now.[*] Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and your cup of joy will overflow.  “I have spoken of these matters very guardedly, but the time will come when this will not be necessary and I will tell you plainly all about the Father.  Then you will present your petitions over my signature![*] And I won’t need to ask the Father to grant you these requests, for the Father himself loves you dearly because you love me and believe that I came from the Father.  Yes, I came from the Father into the world and will leave the world and return to the Father.”

Prayer

Father, Jesus, has told me I am able to come directly to the Father and ask You anything in His name and You will give it to me. Now, I will be obedient and do just as He has told me to do.
I come to You, Father, in the Almighty name of Jesus Christ, and I ask You to fulfil the plans and dreams You have promised to do in my life for the glory, praise, and honour, of Your name. I thank You and praise You I receive all Your promises in the name of Jesus. I know I cannot do anything in my own will and strength, I totally rely, depend, and lean upon the Holy Spirit of God; to meet all my needs in accordance to Your great richest and glory. I thank You, You have heard my requests, and granted me the promises You have made with me in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ - His Ways Are Perfect

This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. —1 John 1:5 NKJV

As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him. —Psalm 18:30 NKJV

We need to appropriate our heavenly position which has been given in Christ Jesus and know there is no condemnation for us. Jesus has forgiven us all our sins. He has washed and cleansed us through His shed Blood and does not remember our sins anymore. It is very assuring to know the position we have now is in the supernatural power of the Resurrection with Christ. We live in the Throne Room of heaven through the grace of God. This truly strengthens faith and gives confidence knowing this. Being a child of God brings such love and joy to one’s heart. Jesus truly transforms lives. Going back into the darkness is not an option any longer. Jesus wants us to live in the light with Him at all times.

Prayer

Gracious God, this is the message I have heard from You and now I declare it to the world, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. For God, His way is perfect; the Word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.
We need to take up our heavenly position which has been given to us in Christ Jesus and know there is o condemnation for us. Jesus, You have forgiven us all of our sins when we confess our sins before You. You have washed and cleansed us through Your Blood, at the Cross of Calvary; and You remember our sins no more. I praise and thank You for everything You have done and are doing me to this very day, I appreciate and accept with all of my heart that You, Jesus Christ is Lord and Saviour of my life forever and always. Amen

‘Come and Join Me In Prayer’ - I Am What I Am – Taken from: ‘A House of Prayer’ – Daily Devtional

Romans 15:5-6 TLB May God who gives patience, steadiness, and encouragement help you to live in complete harmony with each other – each with the attitude of Christ toward the other. And than all of us can praise the Lord together with one voice, giving glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Prayer

Lord, I expose my heart to You in obedience to the prompting of the Holy Spirit of God. I need Him as much as I need You. I seek first to please You and to centre my life upon You. I will not listen to the opinions of man/woman nor what they may think I should do. I ask You to set me free from all the bondages the world has put me in. Break the strongholds within my life, which hinder Your plans for me. I lay down at Jesus’ feet all the curses, negativities, and limitations man/woman place upon me. I come against them in the name of Jesus Christ. He pours out His blood for me, and He washes me clean. Nothing will prevent me from honouring God’s call upon my life. With true grit and determination I will follow the Spirit of the living God as He will guide and lead me to His perfect plan. Whatever I am now it is all because God has poured His special favour and grace upon me. I have worked hard, and yet it is not I but God who works through me by His grace. I am what I am in Him and He accepts me. Only in Him can I be safe and steady and growing. Help me dear Lord Jesus. Amen.

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ - Contented in Christ

Contented in Christ

Philippians 4:10-13 TLB How grateful I am and how I praise the Lord that you are helping me again. I know you have always been anxious to send what you could, but for a while you didn’t have the chance. Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to get along happily whether I have much or little. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of contentment in every situation, whether it be a full stomach or hunger, plenty or want; for I can do everything God asks me to with the help of Christ who gives me the strength and power.

Jesus is the only One who can teach us how to be content. One learns how to be content day by day no matter what comes your way, and it is a choice we make. The secret to contentment is drawing on Christ’s power and strength. You have to learn to rely upon, depend upon, and lean upon the Holy Spirit of God asking Him to meet your needs. Any desire that you may have that is not in accordance to God’s will you must ask God to remove. What right have we to tell God what He can and cannot do in our lives? As we walk closer with God, He proves to us His ways are always the best in whatever circumstances we may have to face.

Prayer

Father, how grateful and thankful I am to You; for teaching me how to depend, rely, and lean upon Jesus for His supernatural strength and power through the Holy Spirit of God. I draw my confidence and strength from Him daily. I have no more need to be anxious or troubled any longer. I trust Jesus Christ, completely. Whatever my needs maybe, He has promised, to meet those needs according to His promises in the precious name of Jesus. I praise and thank You always and forever more in Christ. Amen

‘Come And Join Me In God’s Word’ - Breaking Doen Strongholds

Breaking Down Strongholds

2 Corinthians 10:3-4 TLB It is true that I am ordinary, weak human being, but I don’t use human pans and methods to win my battles. I use God’s mighty weapons, not those made by me, to knock down the devil’s strongholds. These weapons can break down every proud argument against God and every wall can be built to keep men from finding Him.

We need to fight with God’s weapons when we are faced with spiritual warfare. We need to depend upon, lean upon, and rely upon the Holy Spirit of God to help us. Memorizing Scripture is always a good idea when faced with breaking down Satan’s strongholds which are always set against God. The greatest weapons we can use are prayer, faith, hope, love, and praise. These are the methods we need to make us effective. These weapons can break down every proud human argument against God and the walls Satan builds to keep people from finding God through prayer. We must only use these methods, which have come from God and are used through the Holy Spirit of God.

Prayer

Father God, thank You for equippping and empowering me through the Holy Spirit of God in the name of Jesus Christ; He will breakdown all the spiritual warfare that is against me. Thank You teaching me to meditate upon Scirpture, then through the supernatural power of the Spirit of God, through prayer the strongholds are broken. I praise and bless You for setting me free to server and love you always and forever in Christ Jesus precious and holy name. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’- Praying Effectively

Colossians 2:2 Living Bible (TLB)

This is what I have asked of God for you: that you will be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love, and that you will have the rich experience of knowing Christ with real certainty and clear understanding. For God’s secret plan, now at last made known, is Christ himself.

The Holy Spirit of God, has taught me to pray effectively in the name of Jesus Christ. When I pray to God, I use His Word’s, as He guides and leads me in prayer.
I have asked of God for you; that you will be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love, and that you will have the rich experience of knowing Christ with real certainty and clear understanding. For God’s secret plan, now at last made known, is Christ Himself. In Him lie hidden all the mighty, untapped treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
I am saying this because I am afraid that someone may fool you with smooth talk. For though I am far away from you my heart is with you, happy because you are getting along so well, happy because of your strong faith in Christ. And now just as you trusted Christ to save you, trust Him, too, for each day’s problems; live in vital union with Him. Let your roots grow down into Him and draw up nourishment from Him. See that you go on growing in the Lord, and become strong and vigorous in the truth you were taught. Let your lives overflow with joy and thanksgiving for all he has done.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I pray that whoever reads this ‘Blog’ today, will be encouraged and blessed in abundance as these words unfold within their hearts.
I praise and thank You for Your people, I ask that You would water the seeds and sow those seeds deep into their hearts, minds, body, souls, and spirits.  I pray that Your people will be encouraged and effective to the truth of Your Word. I thank You and bless You with all of my heart that You have heard and answered this prayer. I commit and commend this prayer into Your hands in the precious and holy name of Jesus Christ my precious Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ - Teach Me Your Ways

Psalm 25: 1, 4-6 NIV. In You, Lord my God, I put my trust. Show me Your ways, Lord, teach me Your paths. Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are God my Savior, and my hope is in You all day long. Remember, Lord, Your great mercy and love, for they are from of old.

Through the years my walk with God has grown. I have never given up when things were tough for me. I turn to God more. I knew in my heart He was the only One who could help me to come through the trials and tribulations I faced. I realised I could do nothing without Him. More importantly He was a great and awesome God who would never fail me nor would He let me down. He would always be faithful and true to me as I put my faith and trust in Him. Man/woman had let me down time and again. I thought I could trust them. How wrong I had been. I began to realised man/woman are of the world being influenced by the world around them.
I prayed: “Show me Your ways, Lord, teach me Your paths. Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are God my Saviour, and my hope is in You all day long  Remember, Lord, Your great mercy and love, for they are from of old” (Psalm 25:2-6 NIV).
You can trust and have faith in God’s Word for it has been proven time and time again. His Word comes alive within you through the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. My life is so much better now. Seeing things from God’s point-of-view and not my own point-of-vies has helped me no end. My faith has been increased and more and more I have learnt to lean upon, rely upon God and depend upon God for all my needs.

Prayer

Father, thank You for Your precious Son the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank You for sending the Holy Spirit of God to live in me. Thank You for teaching and showing me how to trust and have confidence in You alone and no-one else. Thank You for leading, guiding, and teaching me Your truth. I am ever grateful and thankful for all the wonderful things You have done for me in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’’s Word’ - Put God Fiirst

In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success. —Proverbs 3:6 TLB

We come to the place with our walk with God, to always put Him first in everything we do. Firstly, we acknowledge Him as God, surrendering our lives to Him in the name of Jesus Christ, and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. He will direct us and lead us as we commit our day to Him. Depending and relying upon the Holy Spirit of God, acknowledging that we need His help is the wise thing to do.
We must go to our favourite place where we have dedicated to meet with God. In this place we know we will not be disturbed, having our Bibles open, ready to communicate with Him our hearts desires. We do this through prayer, reading His Word expecting God to speak to us and answer us as we pour out our heart’s to Him. When He is our top priority, other things fall into their proper place. So, we must delight ourselves in Him first and foremost.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we delight ourselves in You. We praise and bless You that we can rely, depend, and lean upon You to bring us through into Your perfect will. We place our love, trust, faith, in the precious and holy name of Jesus Christ, knowing His presence is always with us gives us encouragement to continue in our journey with Him; now and forever more. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ - Looking to God

Psalm 5:3 NIV Each morning I will look to you in heaven and lay my requests before you, praying earnestly.

These words are taken from a “House of Prayer – Daily Devotional

Daily, we must ask God to open our spiritual eyes so we can see Him and to give us spiritual ears to hear Him through the Word of God. Reading and praying to God certainly strengthens faith. Faith in a believer’s heart is given to us through the Holy Spirit of God. He is the One who gives us the confidence we need to grow in Jesus Christ. He teaches us how to quieten our hearts and minds so we are able to listen to God’s voice in the stillness and quietness of our souls. Being busy is not of Him. The word “busy” means Being Under Satan’s Yoke. Satan wants us to be busy, because this takes our eyes and focus off God and stops us from praying and praising God. This is the last thing the enemy wants us to do is praise and thank God. He hates it when we do this. The more we pray and praise God the more he runs away. We need to be yoked to Christ Jesus at all times. Putting on His mantle, characteristics, personality, and very nature is what we need to do daily. Through prayer and faith in God we should expect God to act on our behalf. As we commit our prayers to Him we must realize it has to be when He is ready to answer the prayers we have asked of Him, accepting everything is in God’s timing, and He does not get anything wrong.

Prayer
Father, I trust You to encourage and enrich me with everything I need to continue to do Your will. I praise and thank You for Your beloved Son the Lord Jesus Christ, and also for giving me the Helper the Holy Spirit of God. He keeps me on the straight path of righteousness and holiness and grants me discernment to see when I am in Your will. I cannot praise and thank You enough for everything You have done for me over the years, drawing me closer and nearer to God in Christ Jesus my precious Lord, I pray. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’- Faith Heal’s You

Mark 5:34 NIV He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.

When you put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ, no matter what you have to face during your day, you need not be afraid. God is completely in control. He knows what is ahead and the Holy Spirit of God, is there to help us as we ask Him to increase our faith to trust Him to meet our needs.
We need to ask the Holy Spirit of God for discernment, and It is crucial we do this asking Him in the precious name of Jesus Christ.
Prayer is the key to which we can overcome any trials we face. We need to train our minds to quickly turn to God for help. You do this by prayer acknowledging God in your situations. We must constantly ask the Holy Spirit to guide and lead us and prepare us to be aware and ready for any unforeseen circumstances. We must reach out to God and boldly speak out in faith what we believe He will do.

Prayer

Jesus, my faith, love, and trust is in You completely. No matter what this day may bring I am trusting You with all of my heart that You will watch over and take care of me to meet all of my needs in accordance to Your promises. I love you, glorify You and am full of gratitude for the promises and prayers You have answered for me. You love me enough that I do not need to anxious or troubled about anything anymore my life, my life is committed into Your hands and it is the safest place for me to be in Jesus Christ my precious Lord. Amen

“Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ - God’s Spiritual Gift

2 Timothy 1:6-14 NLT 6 This is why I remind you to fan into flames the spiritual gift God gave you when I laid my hands on you. 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
8 So never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord. And don’t be ashamed of me, either, even though I’m in prison for him. With the strength God gives you, be ready to suffer with me for the sake of the Good News. 9 For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus. 10 And now he has made all of this plain to us by the appearing of Christ Jesus, our Savior. He broke the power of death and illuminated the way to life and immortality through the Good News. 11 And God chose me to be a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher of this Good News.12 That is why I am suffering here in prison. But I am not ashamed of it, for I know the one in whom I trust, and I am sure that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him[a] until the day of his return.13 Hold on to the pattern of wholesome teaching you learned from me—a pattern shaped by the faith and love that you have in Christ Jesus. 14 Through the power of the Holy Spirit who lives within us, carefully guard the precious truth that has been entrusted to you.

Prayer

Father God,  I ask You to fan into flames the spiritual gift God gave me when He laid His hands on me. For You have not given me a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love,  and self-discipline.
So, I shall never be ashamed of telling others about the Lord. With the strength God has given me, I shall be ready to suffer with Him for the sake of the Good News. Father, You have called me to live a holy life. You did this, not because I deserve it, but because this was Your plan for my life before the beginning of time – You have shown me Your mercy and grace through the precious and holy name of Jesus Christ. He has broken the power of death within me and illuminated the way of life He wants me to lead. God has chosen me to be a teacher of the Good News of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others. I shall hold onto the pattern of wholesome teaching I have learned from the Holy Spirit of God. He has shaped me by my faith, love, and trust I have in Jesus Christ. The supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God lives in me, I shall be careful to guard the precious truth He has entrusted to me. May I bring You all the honour, praise, and glory, now and forevermore in Jesus name.  Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ - More Than Conquerors

Romans 8:31 NIV What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

PSALM 46: 1 NIV God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

LUKE 1: 37 NIV “For no word from God will ever fail.”

We are more than conquerors when we put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ. If God is for us, who can be against us? When we read God’s Word daily, it strengthens us in faith. What God says, He will surely do.
Our faith begins to grow steadily as we put our trust in Him. God has a plan for each and everyone of His children and nothing will stop His plans coming to pass at His appointed time.
When we take our own course of action and it is in line to God’s will, nothing in heaven or earth will stop us doing God’s will. Many obstacles may appear in our path, but we must never be discouraged – or give up; but persevere until those obstacles are removed and overcome through Jesus Christ.
Jesus, reminds us that He is our Helper an ever present help in our times of trouble. He is the Omnipotent God and His presence lives in us through His Holy Spirit. He teaches us to draw our strength from Him. Moment by moment His plans begin to unfold within our hearts, and we can move forward with confidence, knowing the Holy Spirit of God is leading us step-by-step along the path He has planned for us to take.

Father, thank You have given me confidence and faith to trust Your Words of.promise to me. I will continue to lean and rely upon the Holy Spirit of God to lead me into Your perfect will for my life. No word from God will ever fail. I praise and thank You forever and always in name of Jesus Christ. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word” - Be Strong and Take Heart

Psalm 31:23-24 NIV Love the Lord, all his faithful people! The Lord preserves those who are true to him,but the proud he pays back in full.24 Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.

Ask the Holy Spirit to help you receive My glorious Love in full measure. This will dramatically increase your love for Me. The world is full of dangers, so it is wise to hold tightly to My hand. Listen—through My Spirit and My Word—while I talk you through tough times. Pour out your heart to Me, remembering that I am your Refuge. As you stay in dialogue with Me, I help you handle whatever is before you. Hold fast to Me, beloved, for I am your Life.

Deuteronomy 30:19-20 NIV Now choose life, so that you and your children may live 20 and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Prayer

Gracious Father, I ask the Holy Spirit, to help me receive Your glorious Love in full measure in the name of Jesus Christ. The world is full of dangers, so I hold tightly to Your hand. I shall listen to You through Your Spirit and Your Word and will be strong and take heart; for my hope is in You all day long. I will pour out my heart to You through the tough times, remembering that You are my Refuge and Strength an ever present help in my times of trouble.
I choose life, so that me and my children may live and that I may love the Lord my God, listen to His voice, and hold fast to Him. For the Lord is my life, and He will give me many years in the land He swore to give to my fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I praise and thank Him forever and always in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen

‘Cone and Join Me in God’s Word’ - Confidence in Christ

Isaiah 41:10 NIV So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

God has shown how He wants us to be confident in Him. We are to lean upon, rely upon, and depend upon Him. If we depend upon His resources and not our own, then He will give us His strength to cope through the Holy Spirit of God. We need to get our relationship right with God, being rooted and grounded in Jesus Christ. He gives us constant assurance that He is always with us so we do not need to be afraid. We need to seek His face and company through prayer and reading His Word. This helps us to understand how He wants us to grow. One thing for certain if You have a relationship with God and He is your constant companion, you will allow Him to do whatever He wants to do in your life.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, You are teaching me to be confident in You; through the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God, in the precious name of Jesus Christ I will not be afraid. I am learning daily to depend upon, rely upon, and lean upon Jesus Christ, and draw from His resources and not in my own strength. I ask that I will be rooted and grounded in Him. May my relationship be built upon the rock and foundation of  Jesus Christ. I commit and commend this prayer to Him now and forever more. Amen.

“Come and Join Me in God’s Word “ - Move Forward in Faith

Let us stop going over the same old ground again and again, always teaching those first lessons about Christ. Let us go on instead to other things and become mature in our understanding, as strong Christians ought to be. Surely we don’t need to speak further about the foolishness of trying to be saved by being good, or about the necessity of faith in God. (Hebrews 6:1 TLB)

To move forward with God and become more mature in faith we need a deep understanding of who Jesus Christ is. The Bible helps us to see we need to rely, depend, and lean upon the Holy Spirit of God. He reveals God’s character, nature, and personality to us. When we are hurting or wanting to run away or even feel like hitting someone, the best thing we can do is call out to Jesus immediately and begin to talk things through with Him. He is available at all times. He sits and waits for all of His children to come to Him. Nothing is too hard or difficult that He cannot solve. His love is always the same; it never alters or changes. He accepts and loves His children for who they are not what someone else wants them to be. He does not want any of us to live on feelings and emotions. He wants us to live effectively for Him to glorify and honour Him, and this is the choice we make.

Come and Join Me - The Holy Spirit Teaches Us

The Holy Spirit teaches how to have confidence in Christ Jesus. He also states that nothing will harm or hurt believers without the Lord’s permission. He teaches those who believe in Jesus to trust Him, have confidence in Him, and to rely upon Him. Reading and meditating on Scripture builds up faith.
At all times we need to focus upon God and not upon our situations. However, we do need to ask for God’s wisdom, instructions, and guidance to help us to know how to walk in His ways. We most certainly need to search for the principles of God, which are written for us in the Bible.

Prayer

Holy Spirit, I ask You to fill me with confidence in Jesus Christ. Help me to see through the eyes of Christ that nothing will harm or hurt me as stated in Your Word. I trust in the Word of God what is written cannot be changed. I stand upon God’s Word and promises and take His promises deep into my heart, mind, body, soul, and spirit. I pray my faith will be increased daily, as I continue to meditate upon God’s promises, I will constantly focus on God and not on my situations. I ask the Holy Spirit of God for wisdom, instructions, and guidance, to help me to keep in the centre of God’s will. I surrender completely in submission and obedience, and I relinquish my life, body, spirit, soul, and heart to Him forever and always I pray.. Amen

Trust in God

Prayer

Father God, in the past You have told me to tell many a troubled soul to put their trust in You. I have encouraged those who are weak or falling, or lie crushed upon the ground or are tempted to despair. At times where trouble strikes, I have felt faint and broken.
This is the time I must remember to trust and have confidence in You. I believe in God through Jesus Christ and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God; to take care for those who are good.
Satisfy me in the morning with Your unfailing love, that I may sing for joy and be glad all my days.
Surely You have granted me eternal blessings and made me glad with the joy of Your presence.
I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. I praise and thank You with all of my heart You are a great and wonderful God who is worthy to be praised, adored and loved forever in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

Being Disciplined by the Holy Spirit of God

God shows being undisciplined and being unruly will get us into trouble (we lose His peace). The Lord will not allow us to be undisciplined, and He will not allow us to go against His written Word. He only wants what is best for His children; after all, He has planned each one of our lives. Being fully surrendered to Christ and being obedient to His will gives us freedom, peace, joy, and happiness within our spirit, heart, and soul. It is all about making the right choices and whether you want to obey Him or not. Only you can make that decision.

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, please help me to walk in submission and obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ. Do not allow me to be undisciplined or be unruly, but help me to walk a godly and holy life with Jesus Christ. I ask You to set me free from everything that hinders Your plans for me.   Only You are worthy to be praised, adorned, and loved, and I will not worship anyone other than You. I ask this prayer in Jesus’ precious and holy name. Amen

Salvation Comes from Jesus Christ

For salvation that comes from trusting Christ—which is what we preach—is already within easy reach of each of us; in fact, it is as near as our own hearts and mouths. 9 For if you tell others with your own mouth that Jesus Christ is your Lord and believe in your own heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing
in his heart that a man becomes right with God; and with his mouth he tells others of his faith, confirming his salvation.[*] Romans 10:8-10 TLB

Perseverance in prayer for the family and friends is essential. We all want our loved ones to be redeemed and saved through the power of God’s mercy and grace. None of us want our loved ones to be lost. God shows through prayer no matter how long it takes and as long as we are prepared not to give up, He will not give up on us either. We must be fervent in our praying never giving up until we see our prayers fulfilled.

Forgetting the Past and Moving Forward....

Reading:

Philippians 3: 13-14 “I desire to do Your will, O my God; Your law is within my heart.“

Prayer

Father, I surrender this past year and give it up to You. I give You all my failures, regrets, disappointments; I have no more use for them. Make me a new person, forgetting what lies behind and pressing forward to that which lies ahead. I give You all my hopes and dreams for the future. Purify them by Your Spirit, so that my will shall truly reflect Your will for me. As I stand on the threshold of a new year, encourage me by my successes of the past, challenge me by the power of Your Word, and guide me by the presence of Your Holy Spirit. I will not be afraid or dismayed, for You Lord are with me wherever I go. With confidence in God, I can look ahead and walk boldly into a new year. Thank You so very much I look to this year with great expectations in Christ Jesus with praise and adoration. Amen.

There came a time in my life when God asked my family and I to move house so that He could help me to put past failures, regrets, and insecurities behind me. I cut the ties that I needed to. At the same time, He taught me how to pray with the Holy Spirit, thus showing me both the importance of prayer and how it could be used to break strongholds that I had allowed into my life. I moved forward knowing that what lay ahead would be far greater than anything I had left behind. We must ask God to give us wisdom, insight, and discernment to help us understand the things He wants us to know. Once you have made a prayer of commitment to God asking Him to forgive the sins which offended Him, you have made your peace with God. He then purifies the heart, mind, body, soul, and spirit from sin by washing and purifying our souls in the blood of Jesus Christ. Then, we begin to have a new life centred on Christ, and our lives begin to change because of what He has done for us.
