New Blog Post: A House Of Prayer – Daily Devotional - ‘Be Honest and Trust Him

Reading: Hebrew 11:1

“Fill me with greater faith.”

Prayer

Almighty God, You, are faithful and precious to me. I cannot thank You enough. Please increase my faith in You. I know You constantly test my faith, and should I pass please, place me in circumstances that will require me to gain more faith. I want to experience a higher level with You. Please reveal more of Yourself to me. The only way I know if I am ready to go to the next level is to look at the way I have handled Your previous tests of faith that You gave to me. I know You will not promote me beyond my current level of competence or commitment until I demonstrate to You my understanding of Your current level. I do not want to lead my life continually going around all the same circles. Let me keep close to God and trust Him with all my heart in Jesus. Amen.

Lessons To Be Learnt

Being faithful to God means everything to those who believe in Him. Our hearts should be loyal, trustworthy, and true to Him. We may at times have let Him down, but our ultimate goals are to keep in step with God in all things. We must want to trust in small matters, and it does not matter how small those matters are as long as we can see we are being loyal, faithful, and true to Him. We must put God in the centre of our lives and want to walk in integrity and do what is righteous by Him.

New Blog Post: ‘You Have Become A Part of Him’

For you have become a part of Him, and so you died with Him, so to speak, when He died; and now you share His new life and shall rise as He did. (Romans 6:5 TLB)

Prayer

Father God, I praise and thank You that I have died to my “old self” through Jesus Christ my precious Lord. I have now become a part of Christ and share in this new life with Him. My old sinful nature has been crucified with Christ Jesus, and I no longer live, but Christ God, lives in me. This life that I now live in this body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and who died for me. His Blood was shed for me and He has washed and purified me from all of my sin and He remembers my sin no more.
I look upon my old sin nature as dead and unresponsive to sin, and instead I am alive to God, alert to Him, through Jesus Christ. I ask You, Holy Spirit, to invade every part of my body and take charge of everything for me. I will walk in the Light and obey all that You reveal to me in the precious name of Jesus Christ.

Holy Spirit, help me live one kind of life in holiness – the holiness of Jesus Christ; which has been given to me by God, who has put the holiness of His Son Jesus Christ, into me, and now I belong to a new spiritual order. Holy Spirit, I acknowledge I need You to help me to be changed in every aspect of my life. Help me Holy Spirit, to become more Christ - like forever and always in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘Tell Me the Changes’

I will say to God, ‘Don’t just condemn me – tell me why You are doing it. (Job 10:2 TLB)

Prayer

Lord Jesus, do not condemn me, but tell me the changes You have against me. Help me to have my faith, and increase my faith by the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God, so I can stand in faith alone with Christ. Let me use and exercise my faith in the glory of God, I depend upon You no matter what the trials I have to go through nor whatever my circumstances will be, Lord Jesus I put my trust in Thee.
You are training me to be a soldier of Christ, and I will not live in luxury, but I will ford through streams, and swim through rivers and climb mountains, and walk many a weary mile for the honour, praise, and glory of Jesus Christ,

Thank You Jesus, for offering to carry my knapsack full of troubles for me, I give it to you and am thankful to You for carrying all my loads for me. I want You to know I am truly grateful and thankful to You for everything You do for me on a daily basis forever and always in Jesus Christ’s name. Amen.

New Blog Post: A House Of Prayer – Daily Devotional - 'Grateful and Joyful'

Reading:1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

“Be thankful to the Lord.”

Prayer

Father, I will always be joyful and grateful to You, because You know what is right and best for me. No matter what may happen in my life I will be joyful because I belong to Christ Jesus. This is the most important relationship for me. Let my prayers be governed and controlled by the Holy Spirit. Let us pray together in peace and harmony and by being in agreement with one another. Let the glory of God shine through me. I admit to You that I do need Your help and that I am not too proud to ask You for it. I will obey God and abide by His commandments. I will keep praying and I will always be thankful to Him for that He does for me. Even when I do not understand what is happening, I will continue to trust in God at all costs. Amen.

Lessons To Be Learnt

Making a commitment to follow Jesus Christ, we become so thankful, happy, grateful, and joyous. Our heart begins to bubble over with love and joy for our Lord Jesus Christ, and sometimes our hearts feel as they are bursting at the seams and needing to share His love with others. We should be grateful and thankful to Him for rescuing us and saving us from the pits of hell and this evil world. Day by day seek His face and walk and pray with the Spirit of God on all occasions, making constant decision to do what God asks. We begin to see people through a different perspective: seeing them through the heart and mind of Jesus Christ our precious Lord.

New Blog Post: ‘God’s Favour’

Moses talked there with the Lord and said to him, “You have been telling me, ‘Take these people to the Promised Land,’ but you haven’t told me whom you will send with me. You say you are my friend, and that I have found favor before you; please, if this is really so, guide me clearly along the way you want me to travel so that I will understand you and walk acceptably before you. For don’t forget that this nation is your people.”
And the Lord replied, “I myself will go with you and give you success.” (Exodus 33:12-14 TLB).

Prayer

Lord Jesus, You have spoken to me to lead Your people; but You have not made known to me whom You will send with me. You have said, ‘I know you by name and I have found favour with You.’ If You are pleased with me, teach me Your ways so I may know You and continue to find favour with You. Remember, that this nation is Your people. The Lord replied to me, “My Presence will go with you, and you will give me rest.”
Lord God, You have placed something inside of me that You want to birth to the earth. The Bible says everything God makes is ‘very good’, and it is time I started seeing myself that way too! God, You know me, You want to change my self-image so others can appreciate my unique gifts and qualities. I am now ready to let You do this. You have determined what my life will be. You chose me for a specific purpose. You have a great role You want me to play this is part of Your plan for my life. I desire to walk in complete submission, yielding and be obedient to God through the Holy Spirit, I ask Him to guide and lead me into His perfect will for the honour and glory of His name. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘Talking to God’

But in the morning – it was Leah! “What sort of trick is this?” Jacob raged at Laban. “I worked for seven years for Rachel. What do you mean by this trickery?” (Genesis 29:25 TLB).

Prayer
O my precious God thank You that You have enabled me to talk to You. For although I have married for many years; I have felt invisible before my husband in his eyes, but I am not invisible to You, O God. The enemy has pushed me aside, pulled me back and put me down this has left me feeling inferior and inadequate all my life. Never being able to measure up to what my family wanted. I have felt I have been left outside and not been included as part of their lives. You have seen all my hurt and pain I have endured because of their treatment towards me.

But God, You have given me certain gifts, and they shall come forth they will change my life. So, please make clear to me what You have gifted me in. Show me the treasures You have placed inside of me, so I may magnify and glorify Your precious and holy name. I love You alone, O God; You come first and foremost in my life through Your precious Son the Lord Jesus Christ. I praise and thank You for Your amazing grace which You have bestowed upon me in Christ now and forever more. Amen.

New Blog Post: A House Of Prayer – Daily Devotional - ‘Offer God a Sacrifice’

Reading: Hebrews 13:15-16

“Let the fruit of our lips praise His name.”

Prayer

Lord Jesus, I offer You a sacrifice of praise with thanksgiving, proclaiming the glory of Your kingdom and name. Let me receive Your divine power, which provides me with everything I need to live a Godly life. You call me to receive Your own glory and goodness, and by the same mighty power You give me Your rich and wonderful promises. You promise me I will escape the decadence around me caused by evil, and I will share in Your divine nature. Hence, I will make every effort to apply Your benefits of such promises to my life. My faith in Christ will produce a life of moral excellence. I will continue to display my relationship with Jesus in every facet of my life. You will grant me the requests to further my witness in Christ, in and through me. Let the God of peace, who was reborn from the dead, my Lord Jesus Christ equip me with whatever I may need to carry out His will. May He produce in me through His supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God all this is pleasing to Him in the glory of Jesus Christ? Amen.

Lessons To Be Learnt

Offering God a sacrifice of praise, thanksgiving, adoration, and love should be done on a daily basis. We should surrender our hearts, spirits, souls, and bodies as living sacrifices; they will be pleasing and acceptable to Him. We should want to grow closer to God and get better acquainted with Him. Through the supernatural power of His Spirit, He enables us to live lives worthy of His calling. We share in His divine nature and should make every effort to apply His benefits promised to us. Our faith in Jesus Christ will produce a moral benefit, and only He can further our witness equipping us with everything we need to fulfil His purpose and plans for our lives.

New Blog Post: ‘God Helps His People’

Those you help will be glad not only because of Your generous gifts to themselves and to others, but they will praise God for this proof that your deeds are as good as your doctrine. And they will pray for you with deep fervor and feeling because of the wonderful grace of God shown through you.
Thank God for his Son – his Gift too wonderful for words. (2 Corinthians 9:13-15 TLB).

Prayer

O my beloved God, I have resolved to know nothing except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. My message and preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that my faith might not rest on men’s wisdom, but on God’s power. I speak of God’s secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began.
The Spirit of God has searched me in all things, even the deep things of God. I have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that I may understand what God has freely given to me. Because of the service by which I have proved myself, men/women will praise God for the obedience that accompanies my confession of the gospel of Christ, and for my generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. And in their prayers for me their hearts will go out to me, because of the surpassing grace God has given to me.

I thank You, O God for His indescribable gift. For who has known the mind of the Lord that He may instruct me? But I have the mind of Christ. No temptation has seized me except what is common to man/women. And God is faithful; He will not let me be tempted beyond what I can bear. But when I am tempted, He will also provide a way out so that I can stand up under it. Praise and thanks be to God, for His love, mercy, grace and faithfulness which He has showered upon me each day. I will always be full of gratitude to God through Jesus Christ my precious Lord. Amen.

New Blog Post: ‘Waiting on God’

I will climb my watchtower now and wait to see what answer God will give to my complaint. (Habakkuk 2:1 TLB)

Prayer

O my beloved God, I will stand upon my watchtower, and will watch to see what You, O God; will stay unto me. I’m waiting on You, O God, with great expectations to see what You are going to do. I receive Your strength enabling me to be on the outlook and wait patiently for Your will to be done over all the circumstances of my life.
Let me be ready and alert, and I ask You to fling open the gates of my heart for its entrance to be open, and I ask You, O God, to come into my heart in Your fullness of my faith in Jesus Christ. I watch for God in the events of my life. I wait until I receive the gold of my faith, love, trust, and confidence in the Lord Jesus Christ. I shall never be content without Him. I never want to play at praying, I expect my gracious God to listen to my prayers and to answer those prayers at His appointed time.
Heavenly Father, You would expect me to do real business with You in my praying. I expect this too. My expectations shall not be cut off from You.

Lord Jesus, You were wounded for my transgressions, You were bruised for my iniquities, the chastisement for my peace was upon You, and by Your stripes I am healed. Thank You for redeeming me from my sinful nature and this sinful and lost world. Thank You for taking the Cross for me I am ever grateful and thankful to You for bringing me this far into the glory, honour, praise of Your kingdom and name. Amen.

New Blog Post: A House Of Prayer – Daily Devotional - 'Chosen People'

Reading: 1 Peter 2:9

“We are a royal priesthood.”

Prayer

Father, You are teaching me the most important lesson today. You have chosen me and set me apart for the kingdom of priests, Your holy nation, Your very own possession. I can show others the goodness of God. You called me out of the darkness into Your wonderful light to spread the Good News of the Gospel of Christ.
Once, I did not belong to You, but now You have made me a child of God, and I have received all of God’s mercy through the Cross of Christ. I will not base my self-concept on my accomplishments. I know my relationship with Jesus is far important than a job, success, wealth, or knowledge. You have called me to represent Him to others. My value comes from being one of God’s children not because of what I may do. I have worth because of what He does for me. Grant me wisdom and knowledge in Christ Jesus. Amen.

Lessons To Be Learnt

God called us out of the darkness into His light and wants us to become part of His holy nation, His very own possession. God chose us, we did not choose Him to declare all His praises to His people. We must not base self-concept on our accomplishments. Our relationship with Jesus is far more important than any job, success, wealth, or knowledge. God has called each of us to represent Him to others. All our values come from being children of God not because of what we may have done. Our worth is what He has done for us and in us and through us.

New Blog Post: ‘God Enables Us To Bear Burdens’

Even if we believe that it makes no difference to the Lord whether we do these things, still we cannot just go ahead and do them to please ourselves; for we must bear the “burden” of being considerate of the doubts and fears of others – of those who feel these things are wrong. Let’s please the other fellow, not ourselves, and do what is for his good to build him up in the Lord. These things that were written in Scriptures so long ago are to teach us patience and to encourage us so that we look forward expectantly to the time when God will conqueror sin and death.
May God who gives patience, steadiness and encouragement help you to live in complete harmony with each other – each with the attitude of Christ toward the other? And then all of us can praise the Lord together with one voice, giving glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 15:1-6 TLB

(v.13) So I pray for you Gentiles that God who give you hope will keep you happy and full of peace as you believe in Him. I pray that God will help you overflow with hope in Him through the Holy Spirit’s power within you.

Prayer

O my beloved God, you have made us strong to enable us to help and bear the burdens of those who are weak. Do not allow us to please ourselves, but always help us to be a blessing to others, to build up our neighbours and friends for their good. For even You, Jesus, did not please Yourself but as it is written: “The insults of those who insult me have fallen on You.”  Everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
May our God who gives endurance and encouragement give to us a spirit of unity amongst us enabling us to follow Jesus Christ, with one heart, mind and may our mouths glorify God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. May the God of hope fill us with all joy and peace as we trust in Him, so that we may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit of God?

Let our relationship with God be made perfect through the sanctification work of the Holy Spirit, and our faith must be exercised in the realities of everyday life. God, You, will engineer our circumstances and take us to the places You want us to be in. It is only by having the experiences; our faith is sustained only by feelings and by blessings. Once we get there, no matter where You, O God may place us, or what inner emptiness we can experience; we can praise God that all is well, because He is in control of all our circumstances. We are prepared to let You O God, do what You want with us. I know You are never in a hurry, but we are willing to wait as we see You pointing out what Your will is to be and we are interested in God Himself, first and foremost for the glory and honour of Christ Jesus. Amen.

New Blog Post: A House Of Prayer – Daily Devotional - ‘Be Cheerful’

‘Be Cheerful’

Reading: Colossians 3:23

Prayer

Lord Jesus, let me cheerful at whatever You may ask me to do, whether it is for Your people or for You. Since the Creation, You have always given me something to do. I regard my work as an act of worship and service to God. Let my attitude not be of drudgery or boredom but of praise and thanksgiving. I do not want to complain or be resentful, but I always want to be grateful to God for all He does for me. I want to obedient to God. I know whatever I do, I do unto the Lord. He is my Master, and I want to please Him. I have no intention of giving up my faith, but I ask Jesus, to increase it and to help me overcome all my fears. I will stand firm,in God, and He will stand firm with me. How grateful I am to You for Your Son Jesus Christ and for the Holy Spirit of God. Thank You for all the help You give me. Amen.

Lessons To Be Learnt

We need to have a loving and cheerful heart no matter what tasks God gives us to do for Him or for His people. Our work is an act of worship and service to God, and we must not want to have the wrong attitudes. Drudgery or boredom does not fit who we are in Christ Jesus. We must not complain or be resentful but be grateful to God for all He does for us through Jesus Christ our Lord. We need to yield and submit our lives to Him living a life totally for Him. More than anything, we must desire to please our Master in everything we do; if it is through faith, our confidence should be built totally upon Him.
