New Blog Post: "Do Not Be Afraid"

Joshua 10:8 NIV The Lord said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid of them; I have given them into your hand. Not one of them will be able to withstand you.”

Walking with God helps us not to be afraid ever again. When we lived in the world the enemy used all forces of evil against us. But what we must remember now is we have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ our Lord the things we most feared begin to recede into the background through God’s grace we begin to put our trust and faith in Him. The Holy Spirit of God brings the darkness into God’s pure light and He shows us the strongholds the enemy (evil) has had upon our lives and He begins to deal with us and delivers us from all of our sin. We must be willing to let God have the control and know what He does is best for us. We are the only ones who can stand in the way of God delivering us. He wants to make our hearts pure and clean and the only way He can do this is by having us co-operate with Him. Cleanse me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones You have crushed rejoice. Hide Your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity. Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me (Psalm 51:7-10 NIV).
Having God’s Word within our hearts enriches us and empowers us to take the truth of His Word into our hearts this gives us the strength we need to overcome. What is written in God Word is written to help us. We must take on board the truth of what God is saying to us. Do not take God’s Word lightly. It has meaning and purpose and when we pray His Word back to Him we are agreeing with Him in the things He is saying to us. So, there is no need to be to be afraid, frightened, scared or fearful any longer. God has shown us the way of escape and the freedom He has given to us through His One and Only Begotten Son the Lord Jesus Christ. When God releases us He releases us from all the things we allowed into our lives before we knew His name. We must not be afraid of our enemies; He has given them into our hands. Not one of our enemies will be able to withstand us this is God’s promise to us.
