Psalm 107:41 NIV He
lifted the needy out of their affliction.
I lift up my eyes to the
hills – where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of
heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip – He who watches over you will
not slumber; indeed, He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep
(Psalm 121:1-4 NIV).
When we are burden and
are troubled what do we do? We have a heavenly Father who is waiting for us to
come to Him wanting us to have a relationship with Him through the Lord Jesus
Christ His Son. He is the One who will help us in all our struggles. It is good
to know we are not alone we have a great God in Him. We can go straight to the
Lord Jesus Christ who is waiting to help us. He understands fully what it is
like in the world and the troubles and struggles we have to overcome. He has
the knowledge and wisdom to put those things right which have been wrong in our
lives. He is the only One who we can depend upon to do this we certainly are
unable to put anything right only God can. We need to admit to ourselves we
need His help.
We must not allow
pride, conceit or arrogance to get in the way. We need our hearts to be humble,
meek and lowly and not allow smugness or self-righteousness to get in the way
of our walk with God. Admitting we need God’s help is what He wants to hear. He
wants us to be totally reliant upon Him and not on ourselves. When we
acknowledge God, He is ready to give us wisdom, guidance and knowledge to deal
with our circumstances and situations. He wants us to ask for help which comes
from His Spirit. We should be grateful and thankful to God worshiping and
praising Him for all the goodness He gives to us through His Spirit. Where
would we be without Him? He is our
strength our ever present help in all our times of troubles. We turn over all
our complaints to Him this helps us come to our senses. Putting our love and
faith in Jesus Christ is the sensible thing to do He really does care what
happens to each one of His children.
