New Blog Post: "Consequences of Sin"

Philippians 3:18-19 ESV For many, of whom I have often told you and now tell you even with tears, walk as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things.

We should follow the example that Jesus Christ has left for us to follow. Our lifestyles must model the life of Jesus Christ and through the power of the Holy Spirit of God He enables us to do this. We should not let sin rule in our hearts and we should keep asking the Holy Spirit of God to convict us of our sin immediately we step out of line. We must confess our sins before God and ask for His forgiveness so sin does not rule in our hearts. We should ask God to create in us pure hearts, and to put right spirits within our hearts remembering what Jesus did for us on the cross. He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed (Isaiah 53:5 NIV).
There are always consequences when we sin against God. We should be aware of when we are sinning this is done through the Holy Spirit of God through our consciences. The Holy Spirit of God brings our sin into His light not allowing darkness (evil) to take hold of us. If we do step out of line expect God’s discipline. He always disciplines those He loves. If you are a true follower of Jesus Christ then you will want to be the person God’s wants you to be and do things the way God wants to do them not wanting to do things in your own strength.
When someone has hurt and caused us pain and suffering we must try not to react to them but allow God to deal with the situation we are in.
Prayer is the solution to all things. We are able to communicate to God and talk to Him about all things through prayer and as long we are in the centre of His will and are walking in obedience then we must leave all the consequences to Him.
