CONTENTED IN CHRIST

 

 

Philippians 4:10-11 NLT How I praise the Lord, that you are concerned about me again. I know you have always been concerned for me, but you didn’t have the chance to help me. Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. 

 

Jesus, is the only One who can make me content. I have learnt to be content day-by-day, no matter what comes my way. Jesus, has taught me how to be statisfied by teaching me to draw my power and strength from Him. I have learnt to rely upon God’s promises and Christ’s power to help me to be content. If I want more, I ask God to remove the desire I have and teach me how to be satisfied in every circumstance. He will supply all my needs, but in a way that He knows is best for me.

 

Prayer

 

Father, how grateful and thankful I am to You for teaching me how to rely and depend upon You. Thank You for showing me how to be content day-by-day, no matter what may come my way. I am learning through Jesus, how to be satisfied by Him teaching me to draw my power and strength from Him. I ask You to remove all the wrong desires which hinder my desires to be satisfied in You. I am assured You will supply all my needs, in a way that You know is best for me in the honour, praise and glory of Jesus Christ’s name. Amen

BREAKING DOWN STRONGHOLDS

 

 

2 Corinthians 10:3-4 NLT We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments.

 

We need to fight with God’s weapons when we are faced with spiritual warfare, we need to depend upon the Holy Spirit of God, to equip and empower us with His supernatural power to be effective in our prayer life with God.  

God’s mighty weapons are available to us as we fight against the devil’s strongholds. We must choose whose methods to use – God’s or the world’s. We are assured that God’s mighty weapons – prayer, faith, hope, love, God’s Word, through the Holy Spirit – are powerful and effective. These weapons can breakdown the proud human arguments against God and the walls that Satan builds up to keep people from finding God, is broken when we pray in the almighty name of Jesus Christ our precious Lord in faith. 

 

Prayer

 

Holy Spirit, thank You for equipping and empowering me in Your supernatural power to break down strongholds that are against me. Thank You for teaching me to use the weapons – prayer, faith, hope, love, which is God’s Word, the Holy Spirit – are powerful and effective. These weapon can break down every proud human arguments agains God, and the walls Satan builds to keep people from finding God are broken in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen

PRAYING EFFECTIVELY

 

Colossains 2:2 NLT I want them to be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. I want them to have complete confidence that they understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ Himself.

 

The Holy Spirit of God, has taught me how to pray effectively. I pray God’s Word back to Him as He guides and leads me in prayer.

I pray for God’s people and I ask Him to encourage them and knit them together by strong ties of love. I want them to experience knowing Jesus Christ in a deep and meaningful way. For God’s secret plan, now at last is made known to us through Jesus Christ, Himself. In Him lie hidden all the mighty, untrapped treasures of wisdom and knowledge. As you trusted Christ to save you, trust Him, too, for each day’s problems and situations living in vital union with Him. Let your roots grow strong in the growing in the Lord, and become strong and vigorous in the truth you were taught. Let our lives overflow with joy and thanksgiving for all He has done for us.

 

 

Prayer 

 

Heavenly Father, I pray whoever reads this reading today, will be encouraged and blessed in abundance. Let these words unfold within their hearts. I praise and thank You for all Your people whom You have laid upon my heart to pray for each day. May You water the seeds deep within their hearts, minds, body, spirits and souls enabling and empowering them to grow deep into Your love in the precious name of Jesus Christ, I give You all the praise and thanksgiving forever and always. Amen

TEACH ME YOUR WAYS

 

 

Psalm 25:4-6 NLT Show me the right path, O Lord; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by Your truth and teach me, for You are God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in You.

 

I have trusted God, to show me the right path He wanted me to follow. Even when the path I followed seemed to have many trials and tribulations, God showed me I must never give up.  He is there to help me in the trials, and He was going to bring me through those trials as I trusted Him. This has given me confidence, strengthened my faith and shown me how a faithful and loving God He is and right up to this present date He has never let me down.

Prayer

 

Lord, show me Your ways, Lord, teach me Your paths. Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are God my Saviour, and You are my hope all day long. Remember, Lord, Your great mercy and love, for they are from old. I am ever grateful and thankful to You O God, for all the wonderful things You have done for me in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen

PUT GOD FIRST

 

Proverbs 3:6 NLT Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.

 

We must come to a place in our lives where we always put God first. We must acknowledge Him in everything we do. Praying it in the supernatural power the Holy Spirit of God, surrendering, submitting, and reliquishing our lives to God in the precious name of Jesus Christ is the best thing to do. We must learn to rely and depend upon the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God to enable us to do this. He will guide and direct our steps as we commit and commend the whole day to Him this is a wise decision to make. 

I get up in the morning, and one of the first things I do in enter into prayer and reliquish my whole life to God. He says He has a plan for my life and I trust His plans more than I trust my own plans. I then make a coffee and go to my faviourte place where I know God is waiting for me to come to Him. I want to give Him my full attention without having any distractions. I pray to Him, and read His Word. I know if I make God my top priority, then other things in my life wiil fall into their proper place. I delight myself in Him first and foremost.

 

Prayer

 

Heavenly Father, I submit, surrender, relinquish, and yield my life to God in the name of Jesus Christ and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. I delight myself in You. I praise and bless You for teaching me to rely, depend, and lean upon You to bring me into Your perfect will. I place my love, trust, faith, in the precious name of Jesus Christ, knowing He will do what is right and best for me. I ask this prayer in the precious name of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen

LOOKING TO GOD

 

 

Psalm 5:3 NLT Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to You and wait expectantly.

 

Daily, I pray and ask God to open my spiritual eyes so I can see Him and to give me spiritual ears so I can hear Him. I do this by reading the Word of God. This is so important to me to begin my day with prayer, and reading God’s Word. This has strengthened me in my faith and gives me the confidence to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit of God. 

The Helper the Holy Spirit of God, comforts me and He has  taught me to understand the Scriptures. The unfolding of God’s Word, is essential for me to learn what God wants me to learn. He has certainty built up my faith upon the Rock and Foundation of the Lord Jesus Christ. My great expectations come from God who will answer my requests at His appointed time.

 

Prayer

 

Father, I trust You to encourage and enrich me in my faith in the name of Jesus Christ. I thank and praise You for the Helper the Holy Spirit of God, whom You sent to me and placed a seal of ownership upon me and my life. I thank You for keeping me on the straight path of righteousness and holiness and granting me discernment to know Your will. I cannot praise and thank You enough for everything You are doing for me and have done for me throughout the years. Thank You for drawing me closer and nearer to God, in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen

GENUINE FAITH

 

 

 

2 Timothy 1:5-7 NLT  I remember your genuine faith, for you share the faith that first filled your grandmother Lois and your mother, Eunice. And I know that same faith continues strong in you. This is why I remind you to fan into flames the spiritual gift God gave you when I laid my hands on you.

 

Our Father in Heaven, has filled us with genuine faith, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God, so that we can share our faith with others. He is the One who keeps us strong in our faith as we draw closer and nearer to Him. The more we see our prayers answered by Him the more we can see our faith deepen and grow with Him. Reading God’s Word, strengthens our faith as we stand upon the truth and promises His Word brings to our hearts and minds. It says in Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. This is what we all need to do.

 

Prayer

 

Holy Spirit, I ask You to fill my heart full of faith in the name of my precious Lord Jesus Christ. I ask for genuine faith so I am able to share my faith with others. Make my faith strong so that it does not waver in anything I do. I pray Your Truth and Promises will never fail me. Your Word is the Truth renew my mind in the mind of Jesus Christ, enabling and empowering me to follow You for the rest of my days until I meet You in eternity. I ask this prayer in Jesus Christ’s precious name. Amen
