Hebrews 5:8-10 NIV He was a Son, He learned obedience from what
He suffered and once made perfect, He became the Source of Eternal Salvation
for all who obey Him and designated by God.
God is the One who
teaches us how to be obedient. It is through suffering and allowing God to change
our ideas and mind-set that we learn how to walk closer with God. God wants all
His children to become into the image of His Son Jesus Christ. This is why He
sent the Holy Spirit of God to live within us and to teach us how to do this. Having
God’s Spirit living within us is the greatest insight we could ever have. He
gives us the wisdom, knowledge and understanding to know what God wants us to
do. As we read God’s Word and pray to Him through the Holy Spirit of God our
faith and trust begins to come alive with the knowledge of God guiding and
leading us into his perfect will.
Our lives must be built
upon the foundation of our Lord Jesus Christ. When we build our lives upon
Christ His life begins to overflow within our hearts and we begin to see our
life changing. Walking in submission and being obedient to God is a personal
choice only we can make no one can make this decision for us. This is when we
have to put our trust and faith into action and trust God to deliver us through
into the places He has ordained for us to be. God is a faithful God and He
never does anything by half measure. He wants each one of His children to have patience
and learn how to wait for Him with undivided attention upon Him no matter what
our circumstances may be.
We must want to live
our lives being obedient and surrendered to Him not because we have to but
because we want to. In my own personal experience since I accepted Jesus Christ
as my personal Saviour and Lord the desires of my heart has been to be
completely surrendered to God through Jesus Christ because He knows what is
best for me.
