Ephesians
3:12 NIV In Him and through faith in Him we may approach God with freedom and
confidence.
God has
taught me how to approach the Throne of Grace with confidence and faith. It is
through my faith and prayer life and reading God’s Word which has helped me to
do this. God does hear our prayers when we pray with confidence to Him and
trust Him to work out His plans for us. God knows what is best of each one of
His children. He does not get things wrong because He has predestined the path
for us all to walk upon. He guides and leads us with His Holy Spirit; He helps
and enables us to walk in the path of His righteousness, holiness and godliness
and to keep to the path of His commandments.
Our
faith, confidence and trust must grow daily as we learn to lean upon Him for
what we need. We must want the change in our lives and have a lifestyle worthy of
our Lord, walking closer with Him wanting the things God wants for us. He is
the One who gives us the assurance we need to be followers of our Lord Jesus
Christ.
We must
never be self-reliant this means we are doing things in our own strength
instead of depending upon God’s strength. He will convict us when we step out
of His will. The Holy Spirit of God will make us feel uncomfortable when we are
not walking in the path of His commandments. This is lessons which we have to
learn. We can be certain that God will never let any of His children down. We
are the ones who will let God down at times in our walk with Him. God did not
give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of a sound
mind. We must never doubt what God has said. Doubt does not come from God but
comes from the evil one. He wants us to doubt what God has for us hoping this will take our focus off God and away from the purposes of God’s will. Through prayer we must put the evil one
in his place. God has won the battles for us when He took the Cross at Calvary
to set the captives free. We must reflect only on what God say’s, through
His Word and then the Lord will give us the insight and wisdom needed to face the battles which maybe ahead.
