New Blog Post: "Do Not Grieve the Holy Spirit"

We must not grieve the Holy Spirit of God? He is the One whom sealed us for the day of our redemption. We grieve God when we walk in disobedience and choose not to follow His commandments acting in an unrighteous manner. In other words we know the difference between what is right and what is wrong. It is not godly to have bitterness; wrath, or anger. We should not speak evil against others these things are evil and come from the devil. We should not give the devil any strongholds or footholds but keep our hearts, minds, spirits and souls centred upon the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus disarmed the devil on the Cross of Calvary and He broke all the control the devil had upon our lives. When we confess our sins and repent from our sins through the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, He washes and purifies us through His shed Blood and we are made clean spotless without blemish before God. The enemy hates this when this happens. He knows he has lost the battle when we ask God to forgive us. Jesus has won all the battles for us because we put our love, trust and faith in Him and not in ourselves. The enemy wants us to do the complete opposite of what God’s Word says. The enemy does not want any of God’s children to walk in obedience or submission. It is all about making the right choices. We can choose to keep the commandments of God which He has given us to keep and allow the Holy Spirit of God to control our lives giving us His Wisdom and Discernment to enable us to overcome all the enemies’ strategies and tactics.
Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God (Romans 8:27 NKJV). Isn’t it wonderful to know that the Holy Spirit of God is interceding to God on our behalf. The Holy Spirit of God strengthens and encourages us to keep to the paths of God’s commandments. We must put every kind of evil away for us turn from it and be tender-hearted, forgiving one another, as God in Jesus Christ has forgiven us.

New Blog Post: "God’s Goodness"

How do you wish to serve God? Will you serve Him in your own strength or will you decide to depend upon His strength? Will you allow Him to guide and lead you in accordance to His will and plans?
Many times I have asked myself those same questions. When I depend and lean upon God I experience a very satisfied life. When I depend upon myself and do things in my own strength things do not go as smoothly as I would like.
Serving God should make me very rich and make me satisfied with what I have. I should not thirst and long for things God does not want me to have. I must be content in everything no matter what my situations or circumstances may be.
I want to serve God with all my heart, mind, spirit, body and soul doing things in His will. It is hard at times to get a correct balance when walking with God, but knowing the Holy Spirit of God is helping me and correcting me helps me to understand when I do things wrong. I ask Him to make me aware of my sin and when I step out of line to convict me of my sin so I am able to repent and ask Jesus to forgive me then my sin will not rule over me. The desire of my heart is to follow and walk with Jesus Christ being obedient and living a life completely surrendered to Him. Through the Scriptures I am able to follow the example He has left me to follow. Putting Him first in my life is the thing I desire to do. On no account do I want to be an obstacle standing in the way of God working within me.
I came into this world with nothing, and know when I leave this world I can take nothing.
Satan wants me to chase after the things of the world and so he puts the temptations in front of me to try to deter me from walking with God. As a child of God I must run away from all those things which the enemy tries to tempt me with. The choice I make can determine whether I allow the enemy to have a foothold or stronghold over me. The Holy Spirit of God teaches me to fight the good fight in faith, and to serve God in a righteous and correct way. I must ask God to grant should me His grace and mercy giving me the faith, love, patience and gentleness to fight the good fight in faith grabbing hold of the life that continues forever. I was called to this life when I confessed the good confession before many witnesses, in the sight of God, who has given life to everything, through Jesus Christ and so He commands I obey Him.

New Blog Post: "God Will Provide a Way of Escape"

When things get tough do you run to God and ask Him for the help you need or do you think you can manage without His help and do things in your own strength? This is a question we are often asked.
I personally have learnt to go to God. Through prayer I fervently seek His counsel and rely upon Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit of God to help me go through the difficulties. I know He has promised at His appointed time to show me the way out of the difficulties so I must put my faith and trust in Him. After all God had allowed those trials to come to me for a specific purpose and reason and even though I do not always understand why I have to go through these trials I know God will bring good from them. He increases my strength and gives me courage with a deeper faith which enables me to overcome. We must never focus upon our situations or circumstances but always keep our eyes focused upon the Lord Jesus Christ. After all He knows the plans, dreams and visions He has made for each one of His children lives. Who are we to question God’s plans for us? He knows what He is doing and He also knows why He is doing it.
Time and again we see through Scriptures the prophets also went through hardship, pain and suffering. They learnt to trust in the ultimate God who was God of their forefathers and ancestors. They saw what God had previously done for their forefathers and ancestors, so they knew He would also do the same for them.
Isaiah 30:21 NKJV Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way walk in it.” We should never deter from the path God is leading us upon. We should not turn to right or to the left but look straight ahead to God and trust in His Word and promises. God’s Word is a lamp to our feet and a light for our path. These Words are given to us to follow through the Lord Jesus Christ and through the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. We must continue to trust Him to guide and lead us into His perfect will.
Teach me, O Lord, the way of Your statutes, And I shall keep it to the end. Give me understanding, and I shall keep Your law; Indeed, I shall observe it with my whole heart. Make me walk in the path of Your commandments, For I delight in it.
(Psalm 119:33-35 NKJV)

New Blog Post: "Does God Give Us Difficulties?"

Does God give us difficulties we ask? The answer to this question is sometimes. God grants difficulties permission to enter our lives so that we might achieve the ultimate good from them.
I know from my own personal experiences having difficulties has brought me near and closer to God and I have learnt how to depend upon Him in faith. God has given me a strong faith and He increases my faith when the challenges get tough. My faith and trust is built upon the rock and foundation of the Lord Jesus Christ. I have a great assurance God is with me to help and comfort me in all my trials. He has always been there for me and He has given me courage and strength to go through the trials with Him beside me and I am never alone.
When I had an accident nearly seventeen years ago, I remember God speaking to me that morning when He said, “The enemy will be there to trip you up, but I will be there to catch you.” I remembered those words God had spoken to me when I was falling. I shouted out in the Name of Jesus Christ I come against you. God did save me within the fall although I was told I had a serious knee injury it could have been a lot worse. I had two operation’s on the knee but they could do nothing more for me. Over the years I have done exercises and continue with these exercises and they have helped my knee and after eight years of being on crutches I am now free of them. I give God all the praise, worship and thanksgiving because He gave me His ultimate grace and He carried me through to where I am today. God had a purpose within this accident He wanted me to intercede more for His people. I counted myself blessed because there were lot more people worse off than I was.

Another great trial I had to face was when we moved to a new location and the doctor’s practice we were under sent me an appointment to have a Mammogram. At first I was not going to go and attend the appointment because I had a test six months previously. That test came back clear so I could not see the point of me going again.
My husband however was very persistent and said I should go and attend the appointment. I did this although at the time I was very reluctant to go.
After the test I received a letter from the hospital they wanted me to attend an appointment to discuss the x-ray. In my spirit and heart I knew this was not going to be good news. Immediately I went into prayer and sought the Lord’s face. I asked the Lord outright do I have Breast Cancer? His response to me was ‘Yes’. I said okay Lord; if this is true please fill me with Your grace and mercy and grant me the strength and courage to go through this with You. As long as God was with me I knew I could go through this.
When I attended the hospital God’s words came to pass. I was told immediately I did have Breast Cancer and they did a biopsy there and then. I went through each procedure through the hospital and had the operation and treatment they told me the Cancer was aggressive . I am so glad to say after four years I am still in remission. God is a faithful God. He has never let me down. He has always been close beside me and has given me the courage and strength to overcome each trial through His grace.
God spoke to me in Genesis 50:19-20 NKJV “Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? “But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. “Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.” These words strengthened my heart. I trusted in the Word of God to deliver me through and He most certainly did that.

New Blog Post: "How Can We Find Courage?"

When we have to face trials of any kind God provides us with the courage we need to meet the demands put upon us. The way He does this is to encourage us to trust Him through the Holy Spirit of God. We need to be rooted and grounded in the Scripture’s to enable us to meditate on the Word of God this where we draw our strength from. We must put our faith into action by trusting in God through Jesus Christ.
Being defeated is not a variable option. God’s gives us the courage and power necessary to know He will give us the supernatural inner strength to help us win the battles. When we go into battle we must never entertain any thoughts of being defeated. God has given us the power in Luke 10:19 NKJV says, “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” We must recall the past victories God has already given to us in His faithfulness this encourages to know through Jesus Christ we can do all things. We must face the battle head-on and refuse or consider being defeated. This is not an option for those who have an unshakable faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We must remember the times Jesus has been faithful to us. When we go through fresh battles this is the time when we do need to seek the face of God and expect Him to give us the help and strength we need once again.
Having the right attitudes is what God wants us to have. We need to realize we cannot win the battle in our own strength. Knowing God is with us helps us to know we will not suffer defeat. We must continually ask God to guide and lead us within the battles and to give us the wisdom and discernment we need to overcome all opposition. We must not listen to negativity or negative people but trust in God’s Word and promises He has given to each one of His children that He will fight our battles for us. In 1 Samuel 17:47 NKJV “Then all this assembly shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the Lord’s, and He will give you into our hands.”
