‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – My Faith is in God

2 Peter 1:1 TLB To: All of you who have our kind of faith. The faith I speak of is the kind that Jesus Christ our God and Savior gives to us. How precious it is, and how just and good He is to give this same faith to each of us.

My faith is totally reliant upon Jesus Christ and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. Without having the Trinity, living and abiding in me, I am nothing but dust to the earth.  I am ‘Born Again’ and I accept I am a new creation, created in Christ Jesus unto good works which God has before ordained I should walk in Him. How and earth I managed in this world without Him, doesn’t bare thinking about. I know I am forgiven and accepted into His eternal Kingdom. He has taken all my sins away on the Cross and He remembers my sins no more.
Having a real relationship with Jesus, is the best decision I made. He is loyal and true. He has never let me down as man/woman have. I know my faith in Him will always be rewarded. I trust Him completely and willingly turn every detail of my life over to Him.  He shows me how to deal with whatever comes into my life. I look to Him for my answers through prayer, acknowledging I need His help is what He wants to hear from me. I willingly submit, surrenender, relinquish and yield my life into the controlling hands of the Holy Spirit of God, knowing He will guide and lead me into God’s perfect plans. After praying to Him and acknowledging I need His help, I commit my prayers into His hands take my hands off the situation; and trust He will work all things together for good for those that love God and are called in accordance to His purpose and will.

Prayer

Father, thank You for the enabling power of Christ Jesus, I rely upon Him to continue to help me make the right decisions; I accept it is through His grace that I can overcome. I know the right thing to do, and by His grace I will do it. I ask You Lord about Your desires for me, and I think about how I can use the rest of my earthly life to bring honour, praise and glory to You. I pray for Your guidance and instruction and open my ears to hear You calling my name forever and always in Jesus name. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Godly Living

1 Timothy 2:1-4 TLB Here are my directions: Pray much for others; plead for God’s mercy upon them; give thanks for all he is going to do for them. Pray in this way for kings and all others who are in authority over us, or are in places of high responsibility, so that we can live in peace and quietness, spending our time in godly living and thinking much about the Lord. This is good and pleases God our Savior, for He longs for all to be saved and to understand this truth.

Surrendering your life to the authority of Jesus Christ is a daily decision. If we pray our requests before Christ and intercede for His people, then we must expect Him to answer us at His appointed time. We must never give up until we see our prayers answered. After all, He is an all-powerful and an all-knowing God. Whatever is needed in one’s life, He will take care of it for them. We need to pray daily to be empowered by the Spirit of God and be under the Holy Spirit’s leadership. We must stand firm in our faith in Christ. We need the Holy Spirit of God to enable us to do so. He gives us a new middle name “Stand”, and this is what we should intend to do when the enemy tries to steal from us. We stand in God and then throw the enemy back at him. Remembering our past, present, and future experience God has given us leads us to victory against them. God works many miracles within us and helps us deal with the many Goliaths we have experienced. He continues His deliverance within each of us daily and into the future. Walking in obedience and surrendering our lives to Christ is the only option we should want to take.

Prayer

Father, I thank You that You enable and empower me to live a Godly life in quietness and peace. I praise and thank You for delivering me from all the giants I allowed to come into my life. I surrender to the authority of Christ Jesus, and I “Stand” in Him. I thank You also for sealing my spirit, soul, heart and mind in the Holy Spirit of God. I ask You to continually renew my mind, into the mind of Jesus Christ.
I pray for others too, that they also may have the knowledge and wisdom of the truth Your Word. I commit and commend this prayer to You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, giving You all the praise and thanksgiving. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ - Divine Guide

1 John 2:27 TLB But you have received the Holy Spirit, and He lives within you, in your hearts, so that you don’t need anyone to teach you what is right. For He teaches you all things, and he is the Truth, and no liar; and so, just as He has said, you must live in Christ, never to depart from him.

It has taken me over three decades to arrive at the place I am now in with God. I realised more and more how much I needed to depend, lean, and rely upon the Holy Spirit of God. He is my ‘Divine Guide’. My Helper, the Holy Spirit, leads my steps when I follow Him. He is the One who has taught me what is good and right. He has taught me all things I need to know. He does not want me to go astray, and if I do waver from the wrong path, He gently prompts me back onto the right path He wants me to walk in.
I am so grateful and thankful I have received the Holy Spirit of God, and invited Him to live and reign over me. I willingly surrender, submit, and relinquish all that I am to Him in obedience to His Soveriegn will. I don’t need anyone to teach me what is true. For the Spirit teaches me everything I need to know.
He is the Truth, and He is not a liar. He guides me into the path of His commandments and leads me step by step.

Prayer

Father, thank You for bringing the Truth into my heart and placing Your seal of ownership upon my life through the Holy Spirit of God. How grateful and thankful I am to You for bringing me the truth of Jesus Christ my precious Lord. He has set me free from all my sin, and washed me in the Blood of Christ, enabling and empowering me to love, honour, obey, Him, through the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God.
No-more do I desire to try and live my life on my own, but I trust You in faith that the plans You have made for my life will come to pass at Your appointed time. Thank You that You have everything under Your control. I praise and bless You for bringing the me into the place I am in today. I take my hands off everything, asking You to continue to work out Your perfect plans for my life that will glorify, magnify, and exalt Your name, in the name of Jesus Christ my precious Lord. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – What a Wonderful God

2 Corinthians 1:3-7 TLB What a wonderful God we have—he is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the source of every mercy, and the one who so wonderfully comforts and strengthens us in our hardships and trials. And why does he do this? So that when others are troubled, needing our sympathy and encouragement, we can pass on to them this same help and comfort God has given us. You can be sure that the more we undergo sufferings for Christ, the more he will shower us with his comfort and encouragement. We are in deep trouble for bringing you God’s comfort and salvation. But in our trouble God has comforted us—and this, too, to help you: to show you from our personal experience how God will tenderly comfort you when you undergo these same sufferings. He will give you the strength to endure.

Prayer

Father God, I have such a wonderful and awesome God – He is the Father of my precious Lord Jesus Christ, the Source of every mercy, and the One so wonderfully comforts and strengthens me in my hardships and trials. God You are the Lord of my life, and You have every right to use me to comfort and encourage others around me. As Your servant, I must be willing to do Your will, even when it hurts. I will not waste my suffering but instead I will use it to bring glory to the Lord Jesus Christ now and forever more. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – He Gives Me Strength

Joel 2:25 TLB “And I will give you back the crops the locusts ate!—my great destroying army that I sent against you.

God promises to restore to us what the locusts have stolen from our lives. Once we confess our sins to God, immediately we are forgiven. He does not want us to hold onto sins anymore. God’s blessings are promised to those who sincerely and consistently follow Him. God promises that after the final Day of Judgment, His people will never again experience this kind of disaster. He is restoring us now and has filled our hearts with such joy and with a new song. Enough years of our lives have been wasted; we must not intend to waste any more years. God is so merciful and gracious to us and puts such hope within our hearts. God fulfils our purpose now, and we appreciate everything He does and gives us on this earth. He rescues us with His grace, mercy, and His great kindnesses. We know God can and will bring good in our wasted years. Through humility and through our failures He helps us to understand our weaknesses. He shows us we may have a lot in common with others.

Prayer

Father, You have given me strength to overcome the darkest hours of my life. You have set me free to live my life for Thee. I desire to follow the Holy Spirit of God to lead me in the paths of Your commandments. You will restore to me what the locusts have stolen. No longer am I alone but You dwell and live in me through Your precious Son Jesus Christ and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. I am so grateful and thankful for the life I now have in Jesus Christ, and I will follow Him now and forever more into eternity. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Working for Good

Romans 8: 28 TLB  And we know that all that happens to us is working for our good if we love God and are fitting into his plans.

When an opportunity is blocked, remember that God has a reason. And He’s providing love and protection, even in your disappointment. The Lord is also keeping His promise to work everything for your good (Rom. 8:28). When one door has closed, another will open. Be wise and watch for it.

Prayer

Father God, how grateful and thankful I am to You, for working out Your perfect plan for my life. Even when I feel that the opportunities I may have, seemed to be blocked; I must always remember You have allowed it because You know what is best for me. You love me and protect me from any wrong moves I may want to take and You help me to overcome the disappointments I may have because things are not working out as I expected them too.  I thank You for the supernatural power of Your Spirit, who guides and leads me and at His appointed time I will arrive at the place He wants me to be at Your appointed time. I am certain and assured that as one door closes, another one will be opened, so I shall be wise and watch for it as I am prompted and led by Your Word through the name of Jesus Christ I give all the praise and thanksgiving now and forever more. Amen

‘Come and Join Me in God’s Word’ – Waiting on God

We must learn to wait patiently for God to help us. When we are going through trials, this is the time to realise we must trust in God, and ask Him for the help we need. We are not alone in the world, but we do have a God who is with us wherever we go. We must remember this. When things don’t seem to be going in the way we first thought, this is the time to pray and seek God’s face and ask Him for guidance and instruction and to lead us into His Sovereign will. This can be a hard thing to do at times, but having the Holy Spirit of God living in us gives us the assurance we need to believe the promises He has made with us in the name of Jesus Christ. Moment by moment He is ready to guide and lead us one step at a time. Ask Him for His help, and He will show you the way.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I will wait patiently for You to deliver me from the trial I am in. I know You have heard my cry, and I trust You to deliver me through this trial in faith in Jesus Christ my precious Lord. Thank You for sending the Holy Spirit to live and dwell in me and I trust He will guide and lead me moment by moment one step at a time. I ask You for Your help, and I know He will show me the way in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
