New Blog Post: "God Opens the Doors"

What do you do when you feel all the doors are closed on you? You are trying to walk in submission and be obedient to God but you are unsure in the way you are walking? Do you go and try to do things in your own strength or do you wait for God’s guidance and instruction from His Spirit?
We must constantly pray to God to instruct us and teach us to walk in His will and ways. When we depend upon our own strength, emotions and feelings this is when things tend to go wrong. We have to learn how to wait upon God and not to move one inch until we have clear direction from His Spirit. However, waiting on God is never easy. God promises us to guide and lead us into His truth. We must trust Him that He does know what is best for each one of His children.
If we do not have God’s peace within our hearts then we should not do anything. When God closes door’s it is for our own protection. He may be trying to protect us from making mistakes. We must constantly be sensitive to His Holy Spirit asking Him continually for guidance and instruction in the way He want us to walk. We may not have adequate knowledge to make the right choices, this is when we do need to depend and lean upon Jesus Christ to bring the answer’s we need through His Word.
He is the only One who can give to us the opportunities and deep satisfaction we need within our hearts which enable us to use opportunities to glorify Him. He is the One who sends bigger opportunities as our faith grows in Him.
There is only one way to walk on this earth that is by being obedient to the Lord Jesus Christ. Yes, God does test us in our faith and we discover what we really believe about Him as His plans unfold within our hearts. When our path seems blocked this is a great opportunity of us to persevere and develop our steadfastness in Jesus Christ.

New Blog Post: "Deliverance Comes From God"

God has shown me that He doesn’t meet my needs immediately; because sometimes He is re-directing me or preparing me for something new. It is hard at times to trust God when you do not know what He is going to do but this is how He tests our faith. We must trust Him and not our situations or circumstances. We must not allow our emotions or feelings or fleshly desires to get in the way of God’s work. It is best that we relinquish and give back our feelings, desires and emotions to God because then we will not hinder nor will we be an obstacle which stands in the way of God’s will been done over our lives.
This is why God sent His Holy Spirit to comfort and teach us to rely upon Him. He gives us the strength and courage needed to go through the trials God wants us face and He increases our faith which enables us to come through the trials.
We must never rely upon our own understanding but trust God that He will give us the understanding we need in Him.
In my life I have had many critical situations and it has taken many years for me to realise how much I needed a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. I made so many bad choices in my life which was most certainly out of God’s will. I had allowed resentments, bitterness, unforgiveness and many other things to control my life. Knowing Jesus changed all those things within me. He showed me how these things were eroding my life, health and body. The closer I became to Jesus the more He began to show me what needed to be delivered in me.
I did not want anything to be in the way of my walk with God. I was willing to go through whatever I needed to go through with Him and no matter how painful it would be I would face everything I needed to face with Him. I knew I could not evade these situations any longer. I knew God wanted what was best for me all He needed from me was my cooperation.
Bit by bit at the pace I could take God’s deliverance began. You can never change until you admit you have been wrong. I had lived my life in the darkness for the first forty years of my life; I did not intend to live the rest of my life in darkness ever again.
I had surrendered my all to God through Jesus Christ. I wanted Him to be in control of my life and gave Him the freedom to do whatever pleased Him. Even it meant that He took everything away from me that was important to me; I was willing to give everything up so that Jesus Christ could have His will and His way in my life. As long as I had God’s presence with me this was all that mattered to me. I have learnt now how not to depend or lean upon man but have learnt to lean, rely and depend upon God.

New Blog Post: "The Spirit-Filled Life"

Colossians 2:6-7 NKJV As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.

The Spirit-filled life is living your life in faith. It is all about faith from start to finish. Do you believe that God saved you through Jesus Christ our Lord and forgave you all your sins? Do you believe He sent His Holy Spirit to abide and dwell in you, to help and comfort you to keep you on the path of His commandments to keep you in His righteousness? He is the only One who can help us to walk the obedient life? We must acknowledge Him in everything we do. How can we expect God to work if we leave Him out of our lives? It is only fitting that we include Him within our lives and ask His opinion in what He would have us to do.
The Scripture says, “As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.” (Colossians 2:6-7).
We do need to receive these words into our hearts and abide and be obedient in doing what they say. It is no good having faith if you do not obey what God’s Word says. We must be built up in Jesus Christ, He is the One who establishes our faith, and He is the One who has taught us how to walk by faith and not by sight. We should be full of praise and thanksgiving for everything God has done for us, in us, and through us. We are unable to do anything without Jesus Christ. He is the One who sustains us and helps us by guiding and leading us into His perfect will. Yes, we may make mistakes on our journey with Him, but as long as we admit those mistakes before Him, He will forgive us and help us not to continue in the mistakes we make. He is a God of change and as long as we are willing to change then we can become the person He created us to be through Jesus Christ our Lord. We are His creation created in Christ Jesus unto good works which God has before ordained that we should walk ye in Him.

New Blog Post: "Walk in the Spirit"

John 16:13 NKJV However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

We must turn to God for daily guidance on the way we live, the way we behave and ask Him for guidance in the decisions He wants us to make. Those decisions must be in accordance to God’s plans He has made for our lives.
Seeking God through the Scriptures daily is what He wants us to do. If we do not study the Scriptures how will we know what God is trying to tell us? How will we know the next step He wants us to take in our faith?  We must seek to get God’s wisdom, knowledge, discernment and understanding, and when we do this He will enable us to understand because we trust Him in our faith. He also wants us to lean, rely, and depend upon the Holy Spirit of God. He will not speak of His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell us of the things to come.
Listening to the prompting’s of the Holy Spirit of God is so important. He is the One God who has been sent by God to teach us how to live in the ways of Jesus Christ. He determines and directs the path God wants us to take; we must follow Him in submission and obedience. If we are not obedient then we will find things will begin to go wrong this is when the Holy Spirit of God convicts of our sins. Once we realize we are out of God’s will He leads us into repentance to confess our sins so we can get back on track and be in the place God wants us to be. Disobedience is not an option for those who follow Jesus Christ. He calls us in obedience and through faith and prayer we can follow His commandments. We must seek God’s face and presence constantly wanting to know what He wants us to do.

New Blog Post: "Rejoice in the Lord"

1 Samuel 2:1-2 NKJV My heart rejoices in the Lord: My horn is exalted in the Lord. I smile at my enemies, because I rejoice in Your salvation.
No one is holy like the Lord, for there is none beside You, nor is there any rock like our God.

Prayer

My beloved God, my heart rejoices, for You are my Lord and God. With thanks I give You all my praise, worship, adoration, and love. You pour out all Your blessing upon me, and I have an answer for mine enemies. I will not persecute my enemies nor will I curse them for I am a Christian. I will pray for my enemies and ask God to bless them. Thank You, Lord, for opening my eyes to see Your ways and counselling are the best. Now when others are happy, I will be happy with them, and if they are sad, I will share their sorrow. Help me not to act important but enjoy the company of ordinary people just like Jesus did and do not let me think that I know it all. Help me to do my part and live in peace and harmony with everyone as much as possible. Do not let evil get the best of me, but let me be a conqueror of evil by doing good. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord. Amen.
