New Blog Post: “Come Away My Beloved” – Frances J. Roberts.

Behold, I have made you a nest in the hollow of My hand, and you shall lie down and sleep.
Though the elements rage, though the winds blow and the floods come, you shall rest in peace.
For you are precious in My sight, O My child. I know you by name, for you are not the child of a stranger, but the fruit of My own loins. Yes, I have begotten you, I have called you by your name, and you are Mine.
Be not dismayed, for as I suffered, so shall you suffer in the world. I have not taken you out of the world, but I am with you to help you and to encourage you, and to give you strength in all you may be called upon to endure.
You face each new day with Me at your side. (Never forget that I am there.)
You meet every difficult circumstance with My arm outstretched to fight for you.
Do not lift your hand to attempt to accomplish any slightest task in your own strength. This I have forbidden. God helps not those who help themselves, but He is the champion of those who cannot help themselves, and of those who are wise enough not to try.
It is not your cooperation for which I have asked, but your submission. Not that you go alone until you fall, but that you draw upon My strength for every step – both the smooth and the rough.
If you form the habit of trusting Me in the easy way, you will find it the natural thing to lean upon Me in the difficult situation. And if I bring you through the river in summer, you shall not fear to trust Me in flood time.
So clasp your hand in Mine, and do not loosen your hold. For you cannot tell what great thing I may do for you through some small happening. Your every hair is numbered, and the most incidental occurrences of the most ordinary day I delight to choose and use to reveal My earnestness in helping you.
Clasp Me to your heart, for I love you with an everlasting love, and with strong cords I have bound you. Look not back, but look ahead, for I have glory prepared for you. Yes, when you look on My face you will surely say that these present sufferings are in no way comparable to the glory I have in store for you.

New Blog Post: “God’s Embrace”

Prayer

Gracious God, thank You that I am in the hollow of Your hand as I cry out to You. I praise and magnify Your Name. You shall wrap me in the garments of joy, and Your presence is my greatest reward.
I lift up my eyes to You, O God, for I know that my help comes from the Lord maker of heaven and earth. I know without a doubt that You love me, and You won’t let anything happen to me.
As I lift my voice to You in praise, a fountain shall be opened within me. I will come to You and drink refreshing waters of the life of Christ. I pour out my heart before You and my love flows out from my heart to Yours. Let the Word of God dwell richly within me; for Your Words are Spirit, and they are Life to my soul and spirit. They are living and powerful, and I shall wield them in faith effectively against the powers of darkness.
I am in Your embrace and I rest there. My faith is a gift from God, and because I want a closer relationship with You, O God, in Christ Jesus, You will give to me a special portion of Your love, and I may have the power to love You back in return. You have given me Your Spirit and Your love fully. You will open Your heart to me, and take me within even as in salvation. I opened my heart to You so that You might bring me eternal life. I will dwell in You and You will dwell in me. I glorify, magnify, and exalt my God and King now into eternity. Amen

New Blog Post: “Come Away, My Beloved” – Francis J. Roberts.

Isaiah 41:17-18 “The poor and needy seek water, but there is none? Their tongues fail for thirst.
I, the LORD, will hear them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them. I will open rivers in desolate heights, And fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, And the dry land springs of water.”

Behold, you are in the hallow of My hand. Yes, in the moment that you lift your voice to cry out to Me, and when you raise your voice to praise and magnify My Name, then shall My glory gather you up? Yes, I shall wrap you in the garments of joy, and My presence shall be your great reward.
Lift your eyes to Mine. You shall know without a doubt that I love you. Lift your voice to Me in praise; in this way a fountain shall be opened within you, and you will drink of its refreshing waters.
Pour out your heart to Me. From the deepest recesses of your being, let your love flow forth to Me; let your lips utter My Name.
Let your praises rise in the daytime and in the night. Yes, when you are utterly spent, then shall My speech fall upon you. Then you shall lie down in peace and rise in joy, and you will partake of a perpetual fountain. As it is written: “Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water”(John 7:38).
Let the Word of God dwell in you richly; for My Words, they are Spirit, and they are Life. They are living and powerful, and you shall wield them in faith effectively against the powers of darkness.
Behold, you are in My embrace. Rest there! For My Spirit and My ways are not to be mastered by intellect, but My love is to be received by those who long after Me and who reciprocate in kind. As faith receives the promises, and those who seek after eternal life are recipients of the faith of Jesus Christ (for faith is the gift of God), even so, to those who long for a closer relationship with Me I will give a special portion of My love, so that they may have the power to love Me in return as I have loved them.
I give My Spirit and My love fully, not measured out in portions. I will open My heart to you and take you within, even as in salvation you opened you heart to Me so that I might bring you eternal life. Yes, I will hide you in My heart so you may experience constantly My peace and My joy. And you will no longer go in and out; but you shall dwell in Me as I have dwelt in you.

New Blog Post: “God Will Lead Us”

This is what the Lord says: “I will guide and lead you into the centre of the plans I have made for your life. I shall take you out of the desert and I will bring you to inherit the land I promised to your forefather’s right back to Abraham and Sarah.
You shall be in the land that will be well watered and everything you touch will grow and flourish. I will make rivers flow on the dry hills and springs flow through the valleys. I will change the desert into a lake of water. I will make trees grow in the desert. People will see these things and understand; they will think carefully about these things and learn that the Lord’s power did this, that the Holy One of Israel made these things.”
The Lord says, “I, the Lord, called you to do right, and I will hold your hand and protect you. You will be a sign of My agreement with the people, a light to shine for all people. You will help the blind to see. You will free those who are in prison and you will lead those who live in darkness out of their prison I am the Lord. That is My name. I will not give My glory to another; I will not let idols take the praise that should be Mine. The things I said would happen have happened, and now I tell you about new things. Before those things happen, I tell you about them.”

Prayer:

Father, thank You for Your Word I receive it today. Thank You that You will guide and lead me into the centre of Your will in the plans You have made for my life. You are going to take me out of the desert and will bring me into the land You promised and I will inherit the land You promised to my forefather’s. This land will be well watered in Jesus Christ and everything I touch will grow and flourish in Him. You will make the rivers flow through the Holy Spirit of God and the desert which was dry will change into a lake of water enabling me to glorify and magnify God praising and honouring His name.
You will use me with the people to set the captives free from the darkness and prisons they are in. They will think carefully about these things because it is the Lord’s power within me who has done this through the Holy One of Israel.
You called me to do what is right and You hold my hand and protect me in the name of Jesus Christ. You have made me to be a sign of Your agreement with Your people a light to shine for all the people to see. I testify that the Lord Jesus Christ lives, dwells and abides within me and I will not give the glorify or praise to anyone other than my precious Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ the Redeemer of my soul, spirit and heart whom I love and adore always and forever more. Amen.

New Blog Post: "Streams In The Desert" – L.B. Cowan

Their strength is to sit still. (Isaiah 30:7KJV)

Inner stillness is an absolute necessity to truly knowing God. I remember learning this during a time of great crisis in my life. My entire being seemed to throb with anxiety, and the sense of need for immediate and powerful action was overwhelming. Yet the circumstances were such that I could do nothing, and the person who could have helped would not move.
For a time it seemed as if I would fall to pieces due to my inner turmoil. Then suddenly “a still small voice” (1 Kings 19:12 KJV) whispered in the depths of my soul, “Be still, and know that I am God” (Ps. 46:10). The words were spoken with power and I obeyed. I composed myself, bringing my body to complete stillness, and forced my troubled spirit into quietness. Only then, while looking up and waiting, did I know that it was God who had spoken He was in the midst of my crisis and my helplessness, and I rested in Him.
This was an experience I would not have missed for anything. I would say it was from the stillness that the power seemed to arise to deal with the crisis and that very quickly brought it to successful resolution. It was during this crisis I effectively learned that my “strength is to sit still”. Hannah Whitall Smith

Prayer

Gracious God, I want to praise and thank You for showing me how to handle a crisis when it arises within my life. All You want from me is to sit still and lean upon You and You will give me the strength I need to be completely in Christ.
The inner stillness that I have is an absolute necessity in truly knowing You, O God. I have learnt this through the greatest time of crisis in my life. You have taught me through the Holy Spirit of God how to lean, rely and depend upon the Lord Jesus Christ. I can cast all my burdens, anxieties, and troubles upon Him knowing He will help me to cope with the situation I find myself in.
I have heard Your still small voice saying to me, “Be still and know I am God”. Your Word is spoken and power is released into my situation immediately when I obey You O my God. My troubled spirit is rested into quietness through Jesus Christ my precious Lord.
I continue to look outwards and upwards to the Eternal Throne of God and know He is in control of every circumstance I have to face within my life and He will  deliver me at His appointed time to the honour, praise and glory of Jesus Christ my precious Lord. Amen
