New Blog Post – ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Dealing with Evil’

So everywhere we go we talk about Christ to all who will listen, warning them and teaching them as well as we know how. We want to be able to present each one to God, perfect because of what Christ has done for each of them. This is my work, and I can do it only because Christ’s mighty energy is at work within me. (Colossians 1:28-29 TLB)

The day we believed and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ we begin to understand who we are in Him. We must not accept the negativity from man/women about ourselves, which is untrue. First, we have to admit to God we have allowed such feelings and emotions to affect our relationship with Him by limiting what He has given us. Even when family and friends doubt the plans and actions God may have scheduled for our lives, we still must obey God, and we will be blessed by doing so.
God will show us through His Spirit how we should deal with the Devil and his evil demonic forces, which control our mind-set. He empowers us through His supernatural power and teaches us to bind the Devil’s works, which rise up against us. Praying is the only way to deal with the trials we face. Matthew 18:18, tells us how to overcome the demonic forces by binding the strong man then dealing with him in Jesus Christ’s name and blood. We should allow nothing to cause us to doubt God’s Word or promises. Jesus is the One who set us free through His cross and the truth of His Word. He will do the same for us all.

How great he is! His power is absolute! His understanding is unlimited. The Lord supports the humble, but brings the wicked into the dust. (Psalm 147:5-6 TLB)

New Blog Post – ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘New Person’

So get rid of all that is wrong in your life, both inside and outside, and humbly be glad for the wonderful message we have received, for it is able to save our souls as it takes hold of our hearts. (James 1:21 TLB)

Through the Holy Spirit we are accepted by Him. We can now see ourselves through His eyes. He tells us we have been with Him from the very beginning. He gives us His love and contentment. The moment we accepted Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour and Lord into our lives, our lives will be changed radically. We experience a love, which is different from anything we previously experienced. We become joyous, happy, and full of love and happiness. We want to share Christ’s love with others as we wish they too would experience the same love we experience in Him. He plants the seed of God within us, and we wish His seed and love to flow from our heart to the heart of His people, sharing in the Kingdom of God and wanting others to be saved. His peace and joy are the products of our acceptance in Him. We can now see our life from His point of view. We do not need to struggle or feel lonely anymore, as He encourages us and shows us how to deal with negativity, incorrect thoughts, and ways that could lead to self-pity by the messages He sends to us, through His Spirit in our hearts. We are a new creation, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God ordained we should walk in Him.

When someone becomes a Christian, he becomes a brand new person inside. He is not the same anymore. A new life has begun! (2 Corinthians 5:17 TLB)

New Blog Post – ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Common Sense’

Lord, deal with me in loving-kindness, and teach me, your servant, to obey; for I am your servant; therefore give me common sense to apply your rules to everything I do.
(Psalm 119:124- 125 TLB)

Getting to know the Holy Spirit of God, should be a driving factor in our spiritual walk. We should be determined to be dependant upon Him to learn the truth about the Lord Jesus Christ. Through God’s Word, we ask the Holy Spirit of God, to increase our faith enabling  us to trust Jesus Christ more. We must ask Him for great fire to come down from heaven, enabling us to communicate the Gospel of Christ to His people. We need a greater discernment to help us better understand the Scriptures as well as increase our awareness of evil. Equally, we need to apply the Scriptures to our life situations that we often find ourselves in. This is the example that Christ gives us to follow. We need to be alert for the lessons He wishes to teach us, be it to learn, receive, hear, or see, and then put these into practice. We should be grateful and thankful to God for His grace, love, mercy, and peace He continually gives us.

Guide me with your laws so that I will not be overcome by evil. (Psalm 119:133 TLB)

New Blog Post – ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘All Glory to God’

Thank the Lord for all the glorious things he does; proclaim them to the nations.
(Psalm 105:1 TLB)

When we give the Lord all glory for all the things He does for us, we will never run out of new and surprising territory to explore. We should sing praises and tell everyone about His miracles. We should express our gratitude to Him for everything He does for us. This great adventure of seeking God and acknowledging Him, makes us want to make the right decisions He wants us to make. By meditating on His ways shows us how kind He has been to us and He delivers us and He reinforces our faith in times of adversity. Gratitude is also an acknowledgment of the truth. It shows appreciation of how God has lovingly blessed us. The colour of His kindness is vibrantly alive on the canvas of our lives. We first must learn to appreciate the artisan the artistic strokes of His love and kindness towards us. Praying for wisdom and asking God to show us all the things He does for us is wise. Doing this you will see how you can perceive the love and kindness shown towards us by Him, then we will stand in awe of all the goodness, grace, and mercy of the Lord, He gives to us daily.

Sing his praises and tell everyone about his miracles. Glory in the Lord; O worshipers of God, rejoice. Search for him and for his strength, and keep on searching!
(Psalm 105:2-4 NLT)

In that wonderful day you will say, “Thank the Lord! Praise his name! Tell the world about his wondrous love.[*] How mighty he is!” Sing to the Lord, for he has done wonderful things. Make known his praise around the world. (Isaiah 12:4-5 TLB)

New Blog Post – ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Godly Nature’

Those who let themselves be controlled by their lower natures live only to please themselves, but those who follow after the Holy Spirit find themselves doing those things that please God. (Romans 8:5 TLB)

We must allow God to control our natures. If we surrender and follow the Holy Spirit of God, He helps us to keep in the perfect will of God. If we do not include the Holy Spirit of God in our lives, we can find ourselves beginning to struggle. Yes, there will be times we may get anxious, worried, troubled, but having the Holy Spirit of God; as our Helper, Teacher, and Comforter, we find He helps us to stay in the will of God and He enables us to live our lives in peace. If we lose our peace, it could be that sin has crept into our hearts once again, and we will find if we pray and seek God and ask Him to show us the error of our ways, He will bring to light any sin that needs to be confessed in our hearts. Searching for God through prayer, is essential. He brings into the light, what is necessary and needed for us to live a holy and godly life. We must not try to work things out in our own strength. Jesus already knows all the answers we will ever need. Choosing to trust Jesus in faith is the best decision we can make. Jesus is our best friend. Knowing He is constantly beside us gives us courage and strength to overcome whatever life throws at us. Be fully committed into following Jesus, putting into action our faith this is what God wants us to do.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in Me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.(Philippians 4:6,9 NKJV)

New Blog Post – ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘Crucified with Christ‘

Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin. (Romans 6:6 NKJV)

Before we came to Christ, sin had a chokehold on our lives, and we could do nothing but to serve it as it’s obedience slaves. It took the Lord Jesus Christ, to remove our sin when He took the Cross at Calvary, He paid our sin debt in full. When we acknowledged Jesus as Saviour and Lord, and accepted Him into our hearts and lives this is when our life in Him truly begins. We have become a part of Him, and so we died with Him, so to speak, when He died; and now we share His new life and shall rise as He did. Our old evil desires were nailed to the cross with Him; that part of us that loved to sin was crushed and fatally wounded, so that our sin-loving body is no longer under sin’s control, no longer needs to be a slave to sin; for when we are deadened to sin we are freed from all its allure and its power over us. And since our old sin-loving nature “died” with Christ, we know that we will share His new life. Christ rose from the dead and will never die again. Death no longer has any power over Him. He died once and for all to end sin’s power, but now He lives forever in unbroken fellowship with God. So look upon your old sin nature as dead and unresponsive to sin, and instead alive to God, alert to Him, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Do not let sin control your puny body any longer; do not give in to its sinful desires. Do not let any part of your bodies become tools of wickedness, to used for sinning; but give yourselves completely to God – every part of you – for you are back from death and you want to be tools in the hands of God, to be used for His good purposes.

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8 NKJV)

New Blog Post – ‘Come Into God’s House and Meet with Him in Prayer’ – ‘God’s Riches‘

Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgements and His ways past finding out! (Romans 11:33 NKJV)

We can never completely grasp and understand God’s ways or why He does what He does, but we can worship Him for the goodness and love and mercy that He has already shown us! When I placed my love, trust, and faith in God, He took the veil away from my eyes so that I was able to see Him through my spiritual eyes, and listen to Him with my spiritual ears.
We should approach the throne of God through prayer, and be confident to know God is listening to us. He will answer our prayers when we are consistent in prayer.  God’s Word, shows us God’s personality, character, and nature. We can see how godly men/women before us handle their situation’s and circumstances. They continually focused upon God at all times. We must do the same. We are so blessed we have Jesus Christ living and abiding in us, and the Helper, the Holy Spirit of God, who teaches us the truth. Yes, we will make mistakes at times, but it is good to know that when we admit our mistakes, God forgives us and helps us and He is the only One who can put things right.

Oh, what a wonderful God we have! How great are his wisdom and knowledge and riches! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his methods!  For who among us can know the mind of the Lord? Who knows enough to be his counsellor and guide? And who could ever offer to the Lord enough to induce him to act? For everything comes from God alone. Everything lives by his power, and everything is for his glory. To him be glory evermore. (Romans 11:33-36 TLB)
