"No One Will Be Able to Defeat You."
Joshua 1:5-9 (NCV)
No one
will be able to defeat you all your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will
be with you. I will not leave you or forget you.
“Joshua, be strong and brave! You must lead these people so they can
take the land that I promised their fathers I would give them. Be strong and
brave. Be sure to obey all the teachings my servant Moses gave you. If you
follow them exactly, you will be successful in everything you do. Always
remember what is written in the Book of the Teachings. Study it day and night
to be sure to obey everything that is written there. If you do this, you will
be wise and successful in everything. Remember that I commanded you to be
strong and brave. Don’t be afraid, because the Lord
your God will be with you everywhere you go.”
Prayer
Gracious God, thank You for making me strong and brave.
You are giving me the confidence to go ahead with You. I will obey everything
You are teaching me and follow the leading of the Lord Jesus Christ and the
Holy Spirit of God. I acknowledge I need to rely upon, depend upon and lean upon the
Holy Spirit of God. He will equip and empower me and enable me to accomplish
the plans God has predestined for me to do. If I follow God's instructions
exactly, I will be wise and successful in everything. I will remember that He
has commanded me to be strong and brave. I shall not be afraid, because the
Lord my God is with me everywhere I go. He has gone before me and has prepared
the way; all I have to do is follow Him in Jesus Christ's Name. Amen
