Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed you in Christ, with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as He chose you in Him before the foundation of the world, that you should be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of His will, to the praise of His glorious grace, with which He has blessed us in the Beloved. In Him you have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace, which He lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of His will, according to His purpose, which He set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in Him, things in heaven and things on earth. In Him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, so that we who were first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of His glory. In Him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in Him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of His glory. Because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all saints, I do not cease to pray and give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, that God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which He has called you, what are the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of His power toward you who believe, according to the working of His great might that He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And He put all things under His feet and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. Amen

New Blog Post: “New Habits”

2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

If you look at this Scripture from God's perspective you will see you are a new creation in Christ Jesus, the old things have passed away so that new things can come forth. God does not want us to continue to be set in our old ways, He does not want us leaning on our emotions and fleshly desires but wants us to change and depend upon the Holy Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit of God is the One who helps us to change and not to stay in our old sinful natures but encourages us to change and take on board the new nature of Christ Jesus. We must be of a willing heart and soul to be willing to change for Him. You can see in (2 Timothy 1:7 ESV)  For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. This means we can think about all things in a proper way in Jesus Christ.

Whereas if we let our old nature take control of our thinking and not allow God’s Spirit the control He wants within our lives then we find that things do not go in the way we would like. We begin to get restless, discontented and irritable. This is one of the ways God uses us to show us we have stepped out of line and out of God’s will.

The Holy Spirit of God convicts us of our sins and it is up to the individual person whether they want to repent from sin or not. He does not make us do anything we do not want to do. He gives us the choice to choose whether we want to repent from our sin and be made clean through Jesus Christ Name and Blood or we can hold onto our sin and stay where we are in sin until we make the choice to repent from our sin and ask Jesus to forgive us and He then sets us free from it. He gives us the free will to choose what we will want to do. From experience I have learnt it is always best to do things in the way God has written down for us to follow the principles of the Bible. The Bible is the example God has left for us to follow we must meditate upon the truth of God’s Word. We do not need to depend upon our emotions and feelings but need to depend upon the Holy Spirit of God having teachable spirits this will keep us in the centre of God’s will through Jesus Christ our precious Lord. He fills us with His love, grace, mercy and peace which keep us happy and contented giving us courage joy and happiness to live our lives for Jesus Christ.

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God in all my remembrance of you; always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. And I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. It is right for me to feel this way about you all, because I hold you in my heart, for you are all partakers with me of grace. For God is my witness how I yearn for you all with affection of Christ Jesus. And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

Yes, and I will rejoice, for I know that through my prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance, as it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honoured in your body, whether by life or by death. For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labour for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell. I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better. But to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account. Convinced of this, I know that I will remain and continue with you all, for your progress and joy in the faith, so that in me you may have ample cause to glory in Christ Jesus. Amen

New Blog Post: “Rest in God”

Isaiah 40:28-31 “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

If we believe in God then we will enter into His rest this is His promise and guarantee to us through Jesus Christ our precious Lord. Only with the Holy Spirit of God’s help do we know when we step out of God’s will. He is the One who works His power within us and convicts us of sin and makes us feel uncomfortable within our spirits, hearts and souls. When this happens we should seek God through prayer and ask Him to bring our sin into His light so we can repent from it through the Lord Jesus Christ. When we admit and confess our sins before Him asking Him for His forgiveness He cleanses and purifies us through the Blood of Christ. He was wounded for our transgressions; He was crushed for our iniquities; upon Him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with His stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5 ESV).  

The Holy Spirit of God is our Counsellor. He has been sent by God to come to us through Jesus Christ our Lord. He is our Helper, Comforter and Teacher the One sent to guide and lead us into all truth. We must listen to Him in faith and reading the Word of God helps enormously as we read it day by day.

The more we listen to God the more familiar His voice becomes. It is just like making a phone call to one of our friends. We know immediately we are talking with the person we have just rung. Well it is the same with God we must ask the Holy Spirit of God to bring the truth of God’s Word into our hearts, binding and blocking any unclean spirit which will try to come in disguise to masquerade the Lord Jesus Christ. The evil one will come with his lies to take us off the path God has ordained for us in Christ. It is through praying and reading God’s Word the Holy Spirit teaches us how to receive the truth and He brings the darkness into His light showing us how to pray against the evil forces. We should ask God for Discernment. This will help us to discern the evil spirits asking the Holy Spirit to bring us the truth. It takes time to grasp what God is trying to show us but we must persevere and not give up until we learn the truth. If we do not have peace within our hearts then this teaches us not touch anything that has not got peace within our hearts. Everything we do should align with God’s Word.  

It says in God’s Word (1 Peter 5:8-9 ESV) Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.

Psalm 124:1-2 NLT What if the Lord had not been on our side? Let all Israel repeat: What if the Lord had not been on our side when people attacked us?

124:7,8 Do you ever feel trapped by overwhelming odds? With God, there is always a way out because He is the Creator of all that exists. No problem is beyond His ability to solve; no circumstance is too difficult for Him. We can turn to the Creator for help in our time of need. We can turn to the Creator for help in our time of need, for He is on our side. God will provide a way out; we need to trust Him and look for it. David compared this to a bird escaping the hunter’s trap.

For years, we can feel trapped in our bodies and do not know who we truly are. We can allow men/women to manipulate and control us and allow them to put their anger upon us. It was only when we begin to have a relationship with Jesus Christ that our thought patterns begin to change. He is the One who makes a positive impact upon our lives. When we realize the Lord is on our side, this becomes a tremendous blessing to us because we know our Lord and Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit of God have become our constant help and strength. Jesus secures us in Himself and we know that we cannot be defeated. If we will endure and escape the fowler’s snare any trap, the enemy tries to set up for us relying totally upon Jesus Christ we know He will show us the way out.
