New Blog Post: “Let Your Desires Come from God’s Heart.”

1 Samuel 14:7 NIV "Do all that you have in mind," his armour-bearer said. "Go ahead; I am with you heart and soul."

Prayer

Father, I desire Your heart and mind to dwell in my spirit and soul. I know you will always be with me in every battle I face. I know nothing will restrict you and Your ability to deliver me in Jesus Christ. You will honour my faith and brave actions that will provide a tremendous victory over my enemies. With You, there are always enough resources to resist any pressure to win the battle. You call me into action so I bravely commit what resources I may have to God totally relying upon Him to lead me to victory. Jesus, help me to determine where my desires are coming from. I know desires from my flesh may not bring peace, but desires that come from Your Spirit bring joyful rewards. I love You first and foremost before everything else. Holy Spirit, help me to exercise self-control over every weakness I may have. Help me choose those desires planted in me by the Spirit of God, holding onto the mind of Christ. I desire His thoughts, feelings, and purposes from His heart, for my life. I will not settle for anything less. I ask this prayer in the name of Jesus. Amen.

New Blog Post: “The Lord Delights When We Follow Him.”

Psalm 37:23-24 ESV The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in His way; though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the Lord upholds his hand.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, sometimes I may stumble but I will not fall. You uphold me with Your righteous right hand. I know the greatness of the Lord as my Lord is greater than any other god. The Lord does whatever pleases Him throughout heaven and earth. He gave us the land as an inheritance, a special possession to His people. Your name, O Lord, is known to every generation. Lord, You will vindicate Your people and have compassion on Your servants. The Devil walks around like a roaring lion trying to seek whom he may devour. I will put a stop to any temptation the second it arises. I use God’s Word to confront all sin. It does not fit who I am in Christ. I will prepare myself in advance so when the white-hot moment of temptation comes I will have a full scriptural arsenal of Scripture as part of my response in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God who reminds me. Amen.

New Blog Post: “Jesus I Will Listen to You”

Proverbs 8:6-9 NLT Listen to me! For I have excellent things to tell you. Everything I say is right, for I speak the truth and hate every kind of deception. My advice is wholesome and good. There is nothing crooked or twisted in it. My Words are plain to anyone with understanding, clear those who want to learn.

Isaiah 46:9-10 NLT And do not forget the things I have done throughout history. For I Am God – I alone! I Am God, and there is no one else like me. Only I can tell you what is going to happen even before it happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever wish.

Prayer

O my precious Lord, I will listen to You. You have excellent things to tell me. Everything You say is right and true, You speak truth and hate every kind of deception and so do I. I thank You for Your advice it is wholesome and good. There is nothing crooked or twisted within it. Your Words are plain to anyone with understanding, and clearly want to learn from the Holy Spirit of God.
I shall not forget the things You have done for me and also the things You have done throughout history. You alone are God and there is no one else like You. Only You can tell me what is going to happen even before it happens within my life.
Everything You have planned will come to pass, nothing on this earth will thwart Your plans You have made for me on the earth.
I am Your creation, created in Jesus Christ unto good works which God has before ordained that I should walk in Him.
I do not have any right to tell God what He can and cannot do within my life. He has every right to do whatever He wishes and I am unable to stop Him.
Jesus, thank You for teaching me how to walk in submission and be obedient to Your Holy Spirit. I do not have any desire to be undisciplined any longer. I ask You to discipline me daily and this will help me not to be unruly child any longer. I commit this prayer to You in the precious name of Jesus Christ and in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God. Amen

Prayer

Father, I desire to come to You with absolute confidence that You are in complete control over all things. I praise You and bless You that You are the Sovereign Lord and I can plead my requests before Your Eternal Throne.

New Blog Post: "In Touch Magazine – Charles Stanley"

"God Is for Us"

Throughout life, there will be times when our sins and failures lead us to conclude that God is disappointed or angry with us. How can He still love me after what I’ve done? If I’m really forgiven why do I still feel so guilty? At such times, we need to fix our eyes on the truth of Scripture and ask the questions Paul posed in Romans 8.

If God is for us, who is against us (v.31)? Our heavenly Father proved His loyalty to us when He delivered His own Son over to death in order to save us. Without Christ’s atoning death on our behalf, we would face eternal separation from God.

Who will bring a charge against God’s elect (v.33). No accusation against us can stand, since the moment of salvation, the LORD justified us. This means we were legally declared righteous, while still in our sinning condition. No one can reverse this transaction and make us guilty again. To doubt our blameless standing in Christ is to declare His atonement insufficient to cover our sin.

Who is the one who condemns (v.34)? Although Satan rails against us, Jesus’ death and resurrection are proof that we are right with God. Christ took our condemnation and gave us His righteousness in return. Now He sits at the Father’s right hand, interceding for us.

EARLY LIGHT

When a doubt about the LORD’S love and faithfulness arises, focus on the truth. If we judge His loyalty to us by our circumstances or feelings, we will never get an accurate view of God. True security lies not in our good performance, but in our relationship with Christ, and no one can take that from us.
